You have obviously spent lots of time researching this subject. It hasn’t been something I have been interested in myself, but I can see the difference since you pointed it out. I would agree with you, the Harlequin direction does make the room look less diner and more Old World and classy.
Hi Dear Cami!!! First, I feel as though I’m late for this class. 🤦🏻♀️ You just totally taught me something new! The word Harlequin!!!! Thanks for sharing this journey. I’m learning so much!!! 🤗
you're right, the Harlequin looks more elegant and timeless. Even the room at 3:23 would have looked even nicer than what it does, had it been done with the Harlequin sequence.
Thank you! I didn't know there was a difference. I like the Harlequin and I might have done my entrance/dining area all wrong if it weren't for your video.
One thing you didn’t mention is that if you are installing checkerboard flooring in an old house where walls may not be perfectly plumb and square tiles laid parallel to the walls will emphasize the variances, where as harlequin will disguise them.

Absolutely harlequin! 💝
Love the harlequin option. Timeless and beautiful
I love that door behind you. Do you have a video on that process? I love harlequin, feels more European and Old World.

Harlequin is the quintessential European look that I love the most! I definitely notice the difference
Hi Cami, do you think the harlequin pattern elongates a living area ?
Hi Tami, I’m a Harlequin gal too 😁 Love your floors!
Love this series!
Harlequin is by far the prettiest lay out

What an amazing tip! I didn't even think of that! Thank you!
Harlequin 😍😍
I thought harlequin *squares* were elongated verses even sides. ❤
I thought checkerboard was squares and harlequin was diamonds?
Harlequin!!
