Your voice is so calming that, on top of your extraordinary eye for aesthetics and depth of knowledge in luxury interior design, your videos are such a pleasure to watch.
How refreshing to come across someone on UA-cam that not only knows what they're talking about, but also is calmly confident in their demeanor, and seemingly not at all narcissistic.
You deserve a much larger audience than the 36K followers you have today.

Thanks for a clear and concise primer on flooring. Defining the 3 main types, and their subsets is really helpful.
I appreciate the breakdown with the pro and con of each type - no absolute “must do” - just a reality check based on the room, expected foot traffic, and (of course) budget.

Hi Miriam I’m learning so much since discovering your channel! Would you consider doing a video discussing your favorite sources for fabrics (to the trade or retail brands that you gravitate towards)? And, how you build a fabric scheme?

You share great information on ratio, proportion and the basics of design. Your tastes are timeless and sophisticated. It is a pleasure to get to see behind the scenes of what a well educated and well versed designer takes into consideration and it really elevates the final product. Small things like; What height do I place the TV? are answered. Great resource tool!

Thank you for informative video. I have had laminate floor hardwood and vinyl. I really prefer the vinyl because it is soft and comfortable walking on. We also have travertine tile in the kitchen and laundry room. I do not like travertine. It was use way too much in the early 2000s.

Now in 2023 I would like to change all the flooring in my house, however, I want a flooring that it is timeless and looks good all the time for years to come, so what would you recommend? It’s in Houston so humidity plays a big role, also I have dogs, so I need something that won’t scratch and water resistance. Thank you for your response!

This was wonderfully explained. In older homes, they used old brick flooring for kitchens, etc. Do you have suggestions for this type of surface?

    • @miriammanzointeriors
      @miriammanzointeriors  Рік тому +1

hi. thanks for watching, unfortunately the brick is a beautiful look but very difficult to keep clean.. the easiest solution would be to have a wood laminate flooring placed over top but you would need to check with your supplier to make sure the quality of the laminate will not show the pattern of the brick over time. you also need to think about how it would transition from the kitchen to other rooms in both height as well as aesthetics

Hate grout lines, what to do with light tile, and need light grout so doesn’t get dirty.

    • @NLPCoachTina

Light grout always looks great at first, then over time... gross. Many hardware stores sell grout sealers and concentrated grout cleaners for that.

@@miriammanzointeriors Hi Miriam ...my co- worker bought a couple slabs of light green granite and then dropoed them and broke them started in the center of the bathroom and set the broken pieces in a kind of web pattern that goes across the floor up and the walls and ceiling them mixed up some Terrazzo and filled the voids then ground the whole thing it's like walking into a different dimension...
I've got 34 years in the Terrazzo trade. Just saying.. got an email ? I just finished a 4 foot Oval with 80 individual panels handcrafted surrounded by broken Red Imperial Granite pieces and I filled the voids with black Terrazzo using green Serpentine rock...red , black
Two shades of grey and lavender epoxy Terrazzo in the Salmon with glass accents... would enjoy to share some pics with you ✌️ have a nice day....

Thank you for the information. Question? I have tiles on my kitchen floor but having difficulty deciding if to put matching tiles in the foyer entry or hardwood floors. As you enter the foyer right/ left are livingroom /dinning room same as your entry and a long hallway all hardwood floors which separates the kitchen.

    • @miriammanzointeriors

hi. thanks for watching. if im understanding correctly, the hallway leading to the kitchen is hardwood as are the living room and dining room? you could definitely do the foyer in the same tile as the kitchen as long as the foyer is a dedicated room separate from the hallway, if it is all joined, I would leave it as wood
