If you want some really good (expensive) binocs then you can't go wrong with Swarovski. Some of the bigger shops occasionally do demo days for all the different makes - so worth checking online for your area. Tight lines. Andy.

Mega video as always mate. Shame about the blank on your last venue but you can’t win them all eh. And it was definitely a Bream doing that with its fin, I watched one doing the exact same thing on my lake a couple of months ago.
Cheers bud, blanks are all part of fishing unfortunately, we don’t always get it right! Quite a few have said it’s a bream, that’s what I though it might have been too so the mystery could be solved!

If you use an underwater microphone and mallet in pegs on the bank it really doesn’t pick up much sound at all maybe an idea for a future video however if the ground isnt solid there is no need for the mallet no noise is better than a bit of noise
Our budget doesn’t really stretch to underwater filming, yet…. 😂😂

I’m using the Prologic Fulcrum C3 12FT 3.25lb AR. Lovely rods, not designed for long range work tho

It’s a lovely mature weedy gravel pit next to the River Thames, far from a hole in the ground. The stocking is mostly young growing fish but there’s a few old ones in there. Might not be for you but it’s far from your description 😂
