Excellent video again lads, always exciting fishing a venue with some mystery to it, shame they are getting rarer and rarer to find! Also a nice fresh cold pint while angling ..lovely!
Yea it’s always nice to fish something with some mystery! Be nice to catch one from there but I’m not sure if there’s much in there other than the tench and pike!
Great video lads, I live quite close to the Cotswolds and walked the lake many times and always wanted to give it a go for the carp. This video has definitely given me the buzz to get down there 🎣
We’d suggest putting in some footwork. If there are any in there then it’s only a handful! Would be mega to catch something though as it’s a wicked place
Stayed at that hotel a few times, walked the lake but never seen anyone fishing it…didn’t know you were allowed 🎣👍
It’s not fished much as it’s such a hard place to fish, no swims, public and very limited access! There lots of tench!
Next time you’re down give me a shout. I walk it from time to time. 5 mins from me. I’ll come for a cider 👍🏻 and I can bring the drone 😉

@@MartynsAnglingAdventures I don’t think there’s anything in there from what we’ve heard, maybe the odd carp. Loads of tench, roach and pike though!
stay in the hotel a fair bit only ever seen pike on my jaunts around! be good to see if it holds a magical lump or two always did wonder! great vid as always chaps.
Plenty of pike, roach and tench! Not so sure about the carp but was fun having a go!

@TheFishingBloggers no we could see the fish in the day on shallows off wall/seating area but we're hook shy in day using float gear unfortunately 😫
Its known as lake 6, people normally fish it for pike.

Lots of otter issues on there.. had a pike about 15lb last week on a jerk bait. Often see tench. Not carp though

This is 10 minutes from me and walked there many times and never seen a angler and didn't know you could fish it, where do you get tickets from? great video guys.👍👍
It’s a local ticket in the Tackle Den, it gets lots of anglers pike fishing in the winter. It’s not suitable for most anglers as you need to wade and can’t use a bivvy as there are no swims.
Cup of tea and a night at the hotel is much more up my street 😂

Yea it’s known for its pike, think they’re quite pressured now though. Martin Bowler had some mega ones years ago but think they’ve all gone now

They were all about the same size! Nice to catch on a new venue, but don’t think Hugh was to happy with the relentless wake up calls 😂
I dont understand why setting rods up in middle of the lake, fishing straight out the casting from bank… wind picks up them alarms will be underwater half the time
We did explain, it’s a public footpath with people passing all the time. Lots of dogs and the path is narrow. There are also snags to the left and right so get the lines out beyond these. It’s also nice to get in the water 🚿
