Can You Beat Genshin Impact Using Only Geo Characters?!

- For a long time, the worst element in Genshin Impact has been widely agreed to be Geo, and it makes sense. It has the 2nd least amount of elemental reactions in the game, only ahead of Anemo, but Swirl has always been a lot more versatile and purely better than both Shatter and Crystallize. It also didn’t have that many characters for a while, as before Navia released in 4.3, there were only 7 geo characters in total, and while there were some very good ones, a few of them had/have been outperformed by other characters. Geo got a big shot in the arm in 4.3 when Navia released, being one of the hardest-hitting characters to date. Since her release there have been 3 other Geo characters. Geo has definitely had a bit of a comeback as an element, but it still has overall been a mixed bag of an element for a long time. This makes me wonder: How well could Geo do entirely on its own? Well, let’s find out by playing Genshin Impact using only Geo characters.
Rules:
I can only use Geo characters in battle.
Any puzzles that require another element can be completed with another character.
No healing items in battle.
No co-op.
I can only use a trial character if they are Geo.
There are plenty of comments about JavaTheCup's Geo Only series, and in my opinion, who cares if someone else does a Geo Only video? It's a relatively basic idea. He does it in a series format, and I do it in a single video, and there's probably examples of people doing Geo Only challenges long before Java started his series. I also didn't even know about Java's series when I had the idea to do this challenge, and this is an idea I've had since mid 2023, before Java started his Geo only series.

even though they’re both geo only challenges, they’re still unique and have different goals. as you said, his is a series, and yours is a single video. his goal is to see just how far he can go (if it’s like spells only, probably one goal is 12-3) and what ways he can get around obstacles. this video’s goal is to get through specifically archon quests. it’s different gameplay, slightly different rules, and definitely different goals. and it doesn’t even matter who technically came up with the idea first (we don’t even know how long he’d been thinking of doing that series anyway). it’s originality, which both have. no one owns a challenge idea, and coming from someone whose favorite series on youtube is java’s geo only series, no one owns the geo element. things are only copies if they’re on purpose
It's a completely original idea it doesn't belong to one person we all have a mind to think.So anyone can do it if they want too.Also good vid man keep it up

I absolutely Adore Gorou, and I've seen other geo only challenges where they STILL call him bad and STILL refuse to ever build/use him. Just hearing someone say "Having Gorou would be nice" is such a breath of fresh air. This is the exact place Gorou is MEANT to shine.

If you have his talents leveled, have you considered machine gun gorou? I hear it's pretty fun (I've only done it with amber not gorou oops)
@@patricialock1862 aha yeah I had him built as a charged attack DPS for awhile, though i have him unbuilt again because I needed to give the weapon + artifacts back to my other characters for arlecchino farming. I will build him again one day, im just saving my resources for Arlecchino for now.

i remember first getting navia, and without even building her she would hit 50k. now after building her, she hits over 200k. navia is ACTUALLY CRAZY
my navia hit 40k unbuilt... now she still hits 40k, and that's when she crits 💀

Honestly I like the lack of reactions! I found it way more stressful trying to maintain burgeon and hyperbloom reactions. Geo is just way more fun! And the damage can be amazing if you build it right!

I find I can beat any boss easier with my geo team then any other team I like the ease of use ne no need to think when I use ‘em. And if the ping is crap it still works
9:19 As ironic as it sounds, I'm AR 60 and been playing for three years. Not once have I lost my 50/50 to Jean or gotten her on the standard banner. And if you're curious, no, I did not choose Jean as my free 5* from the anniversary rewards.
youre just like me 😭😭 im ar59 and also been playing for 3 yrs (VERY on and off) and i never lost to jean or got her from standard (i only lose to keqing and get skyward harp from standard) but i did choose her for the selector since i got her skin in 2021 😭😭

I had to use my free anniversary 5* to get her, been playing since 2.1 and she's never appeared either on standard or on a 50/50, despite me desperately wanting her (only mondstadt character I'm missing now is Klee). And to add insult to injury, I got Aquila Favonia off standard a few months before the anniversary event (refused to level it until Jean was home).
Edit for extra context, I'm also still missing tighnari and dehya but my keqing is C6 bc she won't leave me alone.

As a person who started their own geo only account, I can confidently say that chiori carried me throughout early even in mid game, heck she still carries me and yes i do have navia but chiori does more dmg since iit’s hard to get crystallize with a geo only account.
Oh absolutely, Chiori's damage is INSANE! Navia can hit like a train don't get me wrong, but Navia hits once while Chiori can hit MANY times. She might have my favourite kit in the game, and she's one of the very, very few characters I got a signature weapon for.
So, so glad I didn't give up and did everything I could to make it to pity on her banner. I was so broke after Itto, Albedo and Jean, but I got lucky enough to bring Chiori home on the final day.

Xilonen is actually pretty good with Geo characters like Navia just probably not with a mono Geo team so that makes sense.
My dream team is xilonen Bennet navia and furina. I've missed navia twice ;-;

i would absolutely love! to see a Lanyan only ! shes so pretty and her attacks are soo lovely. only issue is catalyst so shes gonna have trouble with anemo enemies like eye of the storm. but also she will haave less trouble against abyss mages and the like...maybe.

I wasted my primos trying to get the hydro dragon himself, but got diluc, and I now want Citlali because she’s such a good shielder, support, and her design is just so good, I’m now poor and don’t know how to get more primos other then paying

I think dropping Yun Jin is crazy. Since Navia ult is the only way to reliably get crystalizes/stacks, Yun Jin boosting Navia's NAs (that POP btw) would have been helpful. But, not really needed and I respect not farming the Wolflord 🤷

As a very loyal Geo fan for over a year, this video makes me so happy!
Ever since I pulled Zhongli back in 4.0, I totally fell in love with the Geo element, and since then I collected every Geo character so far!
4.5 phase one was my absolute dream, and a real gamechanger for my account!
I do use other elements sometimes, and I intend to go for some Cryo characters next, but my best teams are undeniably Geo, or at least very heavily Geo focussed.
It does have some cons but I found the damage to be a huge upgrade for me! I had way more fun using Geo teams and their survivability is much better than other teams I used (sorry Nilou)
Also, as a Geo fan, I'm so proud to announce I managed to make it through floor 12 for the first time with 6/8 of my characters being Geo! (The other two were Klee and Dehya, for my Navia team)

9:22 oh my god I have the same exact problem with Jean. I lost my 50/50 to her 5 times as well. Just that they're on my alt and main account (both of which I use a lot)
She prevented me from getting nahida, neuvilette, Furina, and zhongli. It hurts so much. The other time I lost my 50/50 to her was on dehya's banner, which I guess I'm okay with
Shatter did get a damage buff from 1.5x damage to 3.0 (superconduct now takes shatter's old 1.5 damage multiplier, originally was 0.5. honestly wish physical shred got buffed instead or in addition to that)

9:20 Yes. Yes I do. Not only have I won only 1 50/50 in my entire genshin career, but 7 OUT OF 10 of those that I lost were lost to Jean. At first it wasn’t too bad because I liked her, but now not only does she ruin my 50/50s all the time, but she also prevents me from getting constellations for other characters, while she’s probably at something ridiculous like C9 already. istg I lost my 50/50 to her like 4-5 times in a row, which I’m pretty sure is even rarer than getting 3 5stars back to back.

I recently became a Geo Main and invested! C6 Chiori is my GOAT with on average normal attack of 20-30k. She has been soloing the Natlan Local legend even without using my other team mates.

Geo was always an underrated element even from back in the beginning. It may not be particularly powerful compared to other elements but it also has no real weaknesses. And as long as you balance your team right, you really can't lose with a Geo team.

I have the Jean problem but with Keqing and Diluc. Every time I rolled for Zhongli, Keqing jumpscares me, and Diluc jumpscares me on characters I really wanted (except for Cyno and Nahida)
i have lost 9 50/50s to diluc if it makes you feel any better about losing 5 to jean
remember Java the cup did this too
