I usually ignore the meta and reading the abilities and just screw around and find out to find what i think is most fun, although, if it takes too long to level a character to be on par with the rest of the party, I just won’t be bothered lmao
1:43 Mostly because the standard character released right before her had his uses, and Tighnari is STILL quite strong, the fact that ecen Xinyan outdamaged Dehya on her release was insane and Dehya also felt clunky to play with her burst getting cancelled so easily Edit: I forgot to mention how on ber release she had pretty much nothing she was the best unit for, Burgeon was taken over by Thoma and Xiangling, she couldn't even work with vape, charlotte wasn't out for melt, burn did pretty much no damage, burn is also pretty much just mono pyro and Klee outdid Dehya there Not to mention Dehya pretty much needs C1 and C2 to become a viable unit in the first place if not being used as an applicator for Mualani or Kinich in 5.0 Edit: When it comes to her defensive utility, not only was it short but having a shield was just better (remember this talking about her release, before she had any use with Fontaine or Natlan's 5 stars such as Lyney, Arlecchino, Furina, Kinich, Mualani)

I will never get meta players, like Genshin is a single player game what are they so obsessed about? You can clear abyss till floor 11 with pretty much any built team, and you can just leave floor 12 since it's only 1 wish you get from it. That is not worth it to min-max characters and only get the "meta" ones.
It’s definitely some weird “perfectionist” mindset they must have, alongside wanting to somehow one up any person they come across. Like it’s a game, and people can play and like characters that they like, regardless of how their playstyle is and who said characters is. It really sucks the fun out of any game really when all you think about is “meta”, instead of just enjoying the game🤷🏾♀️
I completely agree, I'll never understand meta players. I'm fine just clearing floor 9 and 10, the stress of trying to do two more floors for such little reward just isn't worth it for me. I also didn't bother raising the world level anymore, I'm fine with where it's at. I'd rather just enjoy my gameplay and choose the characters I actually like playing with. Like Dehya! I think she's really cool and a lot of fun to play with! I think I wouldn't enjoy the game if I limited myself to "meta" team comps and spend months building a single character to perfection to clear the highest level content. I think the closest I got to being meta was pulling mono-Geo for Itto? But that's because I liked everyone on the team! And Geo is my favourite element! (That's how little I care about meta lmao). Their builds probably need work but I can clear MOST weekly bosses at max level just fine, so they're doing alright.
some people get enjoyment from playing optimally, shocking i know. also playing good characters sometimes just feel better, they feel less clunky and don't require much effort to give you good damage. of course forcing people what to pull or how to play is wrong but simply playing meta characters is just one way to enjoy the game.

I got Dehya's weapon on her release but couldn't get her, eventually got her and during the anniversary event I got her c1. She's really fun to play and because I have a c6 furina(welkin and bp only, I saved a ton) she can actually be quite useful as a dual carry to fill in furina's downtime. Dehya, Furina, Bennet and Kazuha is one of my favourite teams for this reason since she actually feels good to play(even without c6 furina as I've tested this on my alt aswell)
ive always loved my dehya i keep her in my spiral team as a support and she does well i 36 star quite often as a f2p player but i can tell you it wasnt easy with my best 5 star being a c1 wrio bc i got lucky with 2 in one 10 rip but its been fun made it to ar 60 the other day also have 115 wishes saved up for Mavuika bc dehya is my only pyro 5 star and her kit looks nice
I got Dehya midway through Fontaine I think? It was during one of Kazuha's reruns (I lost his 50/50). I was so bitter about it but decided to make the most of it and give Dehya a chance at least. I remember being so confused because her skill felt like a good support but her burst felt like it belonged to a DPS character. I ended up deciding to use her exclusively for her skill and pretend like her burst doesn't exist and she's irreplaceable now. I love her for my wrio burn-melt team, and now that burning and burgeon are really getting more love and attention, she's only become better. genuinely aging like a fine wine and I'm so happy for her and all her mains
im ngl one of fave parts about every episode of this series is seeing what you’ll come up for the dvalin, adepti and inazuma bits… i don’t think dvalin can contend with the supreme power of the raiden shogun at the rite of descencion
bc she is more of a tank/support but people wanted her to be a strong dps, of course you can build her to be a dps and she can do pretty good but being a off field pyro app and giving interruption resist is her main thing. i love dehya she works realy well with Mualani and she is also my first 5 star to get C1
I've had a Dehya AR 5 account for almost a year now after grinding 200+ accounts, wanting to make this video but I was so stuck on how to actually do it. Happy to see someone post this :) I haven't finished the video yet but I hope this pops off! Good luck!
I've been a Dehya Main since she came out. She's pretty solid. What she lacks in a standout role she makes up for in versatility. She won't out-DPS other Pyro Mains, out-subDPS Xiangling, or be a better support than Bennett, but she's a reasonable jack of all trades. Her burst is a bit clunky but it's a good chunk of damage, and between the faux-shield and DPS her skill puts in a lot of work. People talked her up as the literal worst character in the game, but I've always found her to be pretty decent to maybe even good in specific comps. (Neuvillette/Furina/Dehya is really nasty)
I'm so happy I found this video. I was just in the process of making a new alt account and Dehya is the character I got from Raiden's banner. I know it's a lost 50/50 but to me it's a win because I really really love Dehya. I used my selector for Jean because I can't imagine a new playthrough without her but now I have Dehya is with me as well the new account is now kinda really exciting! Plus I have guaranteed now to get Xilonen next patch so this alt account is looking fun already.
I'm 2 minutes into this video, I literally use Dehya on my main for some characters, and I use her on my alt account because her hp scalings actually work really well in early game, you can genuinely throw trash artifacts on her and she will do the dps of a featured until you get to AR 40 or something around there. I really hope this video does some decent justice, as I share a similar sentiment that shes "alright" especially since shes just a niche standard banner character.
As a C6 R2 dehya haver with far too much time spent trying to make her work... Small bit of advice when using her skill that I dont know if you realized throughout the video or not. Im only 11 minutes in so far so maybe you do it later, idk. But each cast of the skill resets the interval of the co-ordinated attack. So you can squeeze out some extra quick dmg if you use her skill, hit the enemy to proc the co-ordinated pyro hit, use the skill again, and then hit the enemy for another co-ordinated attack. This also goes for if you have the field active after the ulti. So if you ult, hit once in field created by ulti, place a new field and hit again, the interval will have reset.
2:32 I’ve never gotten Qiqi or Dehya so I picked Dehya but one of my friends was literally complaining and saying that “I ruined my account” by getting Dehya.
Even I, a traveler main, hate that burst. I ended up triple crowning it along with electro traveler. Don't ask. I'm committed. I still have like 30+ crowns collecting dust.
I genuinely and unironically LOVE Hydro Traveler. He's just so much fun to pew pew pew at enemies. If you haven't already, do it to Childe. It makes him recoil and it looks like he just screams for help midway through. It's funny. lol Hydro Traveler supremacy!

Dehya is probably my most built character and it was only cause I thought it would be funny, at this moment she's top 11%... and will probably never be higher.
dehya just deals damage with cons. just equip qiqi with the clamp set and she deals more than 30k with the healing bubble popping. dehya is more likely a support as fu xuan in star rail. if they would do it even more likely and just just the idea of it, it would be really good. less damage free crit.....
I recently also started one character at a time account just for fun. I can say that the main con of Dehya for me is her DMG output. I changed her for Kinich just because she can kill Ruin Guard in 45 seconds, and Kinich can in 5. It is really unfair that such a good concept of a character got nerfed because of stats
My C3R1 Dehya gets a lot of field time & will remain a regular member of my overworked/domain team. She may not be as strong as most of my roster, but damn is she fun 😊
Fun fact, she was my first standard banner 5* when I started, and I loved her as a support once I could build her. LOL (She's also a fav to pair up with Neuvi in the abyss). LOL
Still don't regret getting c6r2 within her first hour (c4r1 acquired with savings from 3.0+) Originally ran her with 4pc CW (somehow getting her up to 70k HP with that set) then swapped to 2pc VG/2pc CW and now run 4pc VG Yeah, she's a bit lackluster here and there but coming from someone intentionally avoiding archons, I welcome the challenge. Managed a total burst damage of about 500k~600k ending with a 100k kick (without consumables). She's still part of one of my few main teams with Wriothesely, Xingqiu and Fischl. Helped friends with several local legends using her too. Funnily enough, I've never gotten a single duplicate of her since her release As for a lore-ish/logical standpoint, being the "strongest mercenary/bodyguard" doesn't have to revolve around offensive power but can also be sustainability since bodyguards don't always have to attack Also I think that one electrocharged patch of water by a shipwreck is the only place that WILL kill Dehya
Tip for Dehya: do not invest into HP if you want damage from her. Since the scaling for HP is so pitiful: 1.86% HP (skill), 3.05% / 4.3% HP (burst) at level 10. That means she gains WAY more from her Attack stat.
maybe because she’s my second 5 star, after Tighnari, I absolutely love using her. I started genshin after a few years like 2 weeks ago and I was lucky to get Dehya after picking Tighnari after just barely wishing so.. yeah. I love her character compared to my many pyro and trust me, I have a lot of pyros
That hydro abyss herald is what earned Kaeya his place on my team XD everyone else was dead due to difficulty with the death bubbles and Kaeya’s freezing and minor self healing is the only reason I didn’t have to redo the entire thing XD
I was debating on getting either my very first c6 five stars (qiqi) or dehya or keqing since i dont have them, but in the end i chose keqing since i wanted her from my start in the game
i havent see this vid fully but regardless of that, imo she's good fo u who don't really wanna think much of ER like thoma, and she can still be a burgeon trigger using triple em mainstats with hp% on subs and just use sac greatsword for the passive to secure her skill cd
i actually never go to the top of the mountain, because i just start breaking ambers and usually i can just skip that dialogue. not that useful, but im lazy
C1r1 she’s fun and decent, I do significant damage in co-op , like sometimes they are sceptical and don’t want me to pick her , then when I do my burst and it’s over , they are silent…or ask me if I’m c6 😂😂😂. One last thing her normal atk is pretty fast compared to other claymores users, so she breaks geo shields faster, just like the centorus boss

I love Dehya, she was one of my first 5-stars and she rarely ever leaves my team as one of my strongest characters !!!
Dehya is probably my most built character and it was only cause I thought it would be funny, at this moment she's top 11%... and will probably never be higher.
dehya just deals damage with cons. just equip qiqi with the clamp set and she deals more than 30k with the healing bubble popping. dehya is more likely a support as fu xuan in star rail. if they would do it even more likely and just just the idea of it, it would be really good. less damage free crit.....

I recently also started one character at a time account just for fun. I can say that the main con of Dehya for me is her DMG output. I changed her for Kinich just because she can kill Ruin Guard in 45 seconds, and Kinich can in 5. It is really unfair that such a good concept of a character got nerfed because of stats

My C3R1 Dehya gets a lot of field time & will remain a regular member of my overworked/domain team. She may not be as strong as most of my roster, but damn is she fun 😊
Fun fact, she was my first standard banner 5* when I started, and I loved her as a support once I could build her. LOL (She's also a fav to pair up with Neuvi in the abyss). LOL
As someone who recently started to build Dehya, I can confidently say that she is not as bad as everyone says.

Originally ran her with 4pc CW (somehow getting her up to 70k HP with that set) then swapped to 2pc VG/2pc CW and now run 4pc VG
Yeah, she's a bit lackluster here and there but coming from someone intentionally avoiding archons, I welcome the challenge.
Managed a total burst damage of about 500k~600k ending with a 100k kick (without consumables).
She's still part of one of my few main teams with Wriothesely, Xingqiu and Fischl. Helped friends with several local legends using her too.
Funnily enough, I've never gotten a single duplicate of her since her release
As for a lore-ish/logical standpoint, being the "strongest mercenary/bodyguard" doesn't have to revolve around offensive power but can also be sustainability since bodyguards don't always have to attack
Also I think that one electrocharged patch of water by a shipwreck is the only place that WILL kill Dehya

Tip for Dehya: do not invest into HP if you want damage from her.
Since the scaling for HP is so pitiful: 1.86% HP (skill), 3.05% / 4.3% HP (burst) at level 10. That means she gains WAY more from her Attack stat.

I started genshin after a few years like 2 weeks ago and I was lucky to get Dehya after picking Tighnari after just barely wishing so.. yeah. I love her character compared to my many pyro and trust me, I have a lot of pyros
I finally got Dehya when I lost the 50/50 for Navia. I always wanted her so no complaining from me. I built her with the clam set to become immortal.

That hydro abyss herald is what earned Kaeya his place on my team XD everyone else was dead due to difficulty with the death bubbles and Kaeya’s freezing and minor self healing is the only reason I didn’t have to redo the entire thing XD

I was debating on getting either my very first c6 five stars (qiqi) or dehya or keqing since i dont have them, but in the end i chose keqing since i wanted her from my start in the game
i havent see this vid fully but regardless of that, imo she's good fo u who don't really wanna think much of ER like thoma, and she can still be a burgeon trigger using triple em mainstats with hp% on subs and just use sac greatsword for the passive to secure her skill cd
i actually never go to the top of the mountain, because i just start breaking ambers and usually i can just skip that dialogue. not that useful, but im lazy

C1r1 she’s fun and decent, I do significant damage in co-op , like sometimes they are sceptical and don’t want me to pick her , then when I do my burst and it’s over , they are silent…or ask me if I’m c6 😂😂😂.
One last thing her normal atk is pretty fast compared to other claymores users, so she breaks geo shields faster, just like the centorus boss
I never got qiqi so chose her from anniversary selector she is adorable
