This battle is a game of chess! The lines are held on all front but one side must make a play to advance across the open field and hope to get an advantage by surprise.

Holy hell this was an amazing battle, it was so insanely close that it had me hanging midair the whole time! Though it says "draw" but it was a French victory no doubt! That massive push in the center was what really weakened the Coalition thus allowing a French victory, albeit a huge, huge gamble like the title says, because had it failed then the French could never gather enough strength to do it again after the heavy casualties they took earlier from the waves of cavalry attacks that had me really scared for the French at the beginning stage of the battle, and when the French cavalries began picking off British guns one by one I was like it's karma swinging around lol.
Props to GR for pulling off a brilliant maneuvre. It was one of most Enjoyed i have been watching.
wow great game and battle
Funny how you make "Uh x-Bridge" into Ox-bridge. The map itself seems to be one-sided. It was impressive how the Imperials changed things around and pushed in the least likely center
Yes. The attack in the center was an "informed gamble." The moment our left flank began to cav I realized we needed to push their likely weak center with both our cav and guard reserves. I saw that the coalition had committed a lot to killing our 7 pointer and if we just tried to match their attack, we'd likely lose out in the end. A somewhat lucky call as our scouting was very poor this game because of how well IZ was positioned. But one that was made with a fair degree of confidence in the moment based on what we'd seen and how I thought IZ was playing
Hey thatsl was awesome to see! I loved the gamble and how obvious it was where you were moving and attacking. I really enjoyed watching well played
Good job, its not easy to think things through while everything happening battle is chaotic.
We really dropped the ball with that attack on your left. We held good ground, had loc, plenty of reserves and got some good trades early on. But then we saw an opportunity to kill the 7 pointer and threw 20(!) Points at it, leaving our center far too vulnerable. You then exploited that mistake perfectly.
wellington and prussia getting massacred by the imperial guard and cavalry didn't help and while the british were getting good cav charges they took a lot of damage from the french fire
IZ will never recover from the allegations.
