- There has never been an easier and safer time to explore and see our wild places than right now.
And on this video we’ll do exactly that. Im heading into a new area to explore and prospect for gold. Every indication is telling me there should be good deposits along the river, so I’ll be travelling 20 km downstream and testing along the way.
#gold #goldprospecting #nature #discovery #tasmania
Thanks Rob! Another awesome adventure on rivers and streams I will never get to see with my eyes. It’s so wonderful how you discover the most amazing things. Some people look, but you Sir - see.
Rob Parsons for Tasmania! Vote 1.
That was a fun adventure! Thank you for taking us down that gorgeous Tassie river with you Rob!
You guys are so lucky to live in the most beautiful and amazing and yet a place so peaceful and bliss from the bottom of my heart, thank you for making the video for us to watch Man I would love to be in Australia, Tasmania maybe one day in another life I’ll get my chance to explore outside the United States you guy you guys and gals be safe get some gold for me lol
I bet if you take the metal detector you might find an underground bunker because if you stay at old, maybe older than you and then they get to use it for contacting Gold, maybe more than gold may be some prices damn there’s around there for a mine
Looked like a river gauging station to me. Seen a few here in West Oz over the years. Rivers commission can calculate river effluction volumes, annually by monitoring summer & winter peak flows etc.
That’s how they decided where to build hydro dams in Tassies case.
Sometimes they used to build V notch weirs on smaller tributaries - often they make good trout fishing ponds above the weir.
Layer the water authority here started pulling the V notch weir walls out in case they were impeding recruitment of native minnows & lampreys etc.
Can’t be too old Rob as it has a solar panel on it.
Tasmanian rivers and water supply commission used cable cars across rivers to measure annual flow in a river to ascertain potential water availability for a potential hydro dam and or possible diversion to irrigation part of the Strategic Water Information and Monitoring
Plan, Tasmania
What a beautiful filming and editing my friend! Your channel is completely different level!
Just found I can put you on the big screen TV. Now this is good entertainment 👍👍
That’s how it’s done, make sure it’s in 4K!
Every time I would walk in the woods there was something to find. You, sir, find the BEST things! Glad that it's warming up for ya and ty so much for taking us along.
Another fun adventure!
Thanks for sharing
🙏❤️🌲
You comment about being " a man of my word" was refreshing. I am sure your wife knows that or she wouldn't have married you. That concept is what the world needs more of. Thank you for keeping on the mission.
I just started watching you a couple of days ago and I have enjoyed every second of you videos . so thank you very much .👍
The flying fox reminded me of the start of the track to frenchmans cap when i was 15 nearly 40 years ago, great content Rob, keep it up mate
Hey Rob I not long ago moved to the west coast I love your channel my partner and I are going to go and visit alot of the sites you have shown thanks so much for getting out there, your channel has so much information on what's in our back yard THANKS mate, can't wait to see your next video 😁👍
Please don’t let parks and wildlife see this they’ll lock me up 😂
@@Rob.Parsons love your work mate your secrets safe with me lol hope to see you on a trail one day with my parks pass lol
Stream Gauging by Dept of Natural Resources. They dont need to physically visit any longer due to the solar panel and most likely internet us plebs cant access.
Another fantastic video Rob. You should be paid buy the Tasmanian government for promoting this beautiful land mate.
Great to see your still creating content mate
Thanks mate I’ve got a bad habit
@@Rob.Parsonsnot a bad one to have!
Another fine adventure Rob. Thanks for bringing us along. I have watched a lot of your videos, one thing I have noticed is I have yet to see you build a fire any larger than is required for cooking. These jokers should really get off your back, you have always shown so much respect, they should do the same. All the best mate.
100% agreed!
Snk you for the adventure. Cheers
You take us to places we would never ever see, we follow you on all these trips as we love what you do and how you do it, the scenery is always stunning, cheers Rob stay safe and have fun.
You live in a beautiful country! I live in NW Oregon USA at about 45 degrees North. Very similar to Tasmania, but the plants are different, no man ferns, but plenty of little boy sized ferns. It rains here 9 months of the year. I love the videos you produce, you’re keeping me young! Thanks Rob!
Hi. Just scolling through comments. Just a interesting thing they are starting to discover. Tasmania was once attached to North Eastern North America. Another super content before Guanda. Interesting show on UA-cam from ABC Australia, that explains it. Don't mean to bother you, just thought it may be something you find interesting.
Sorry, make that North Western America.
@@andrewwilliams3897 he maybe didn't find your comment interesting, but I sure did! So don't ever feel like your bothering someone explaining something. Your ability to provide insight into what another person's interests might be....... That's a rarity I'm finding? Most people are more concerned with self that they don't even entertain the thought process of wondering what someone else might enjoy?
It's so rare that I feel compelled to write this response to tell you. Thank you. The world needs more people like you sir
@@jameshatton4211 Your welcome
Dang those rapids looked cool. That one rock looked like a 3 foot drop. Sorry I'm in USA don't know metric. In book a white water ride beats looking for gold. Gold is a labor of addiction that ride you can't buy and its pure adrenaline. That boat has really impressed me. Rob I do like all your postings, the scenery is the best and I like your narrative on the trips. I float the river here in my canoe. Colder than crap here now. Keep these videos coming you got my vote. That zip line was.a cool find,; I want hear what's it four. That wide path did you walk that for a bit. I wish this stuff was around the corner from me I would join you for a snoop at things.
The film in 4K and crystal drone footage is really good Rob!😀
Thanks Issac! I've been enjoying filming all my new videos in 4k. Glad you appreciate them!
Fabulous again Rob. What a gorgeous country we live in. Thank you for all your work.

Really enjoyed this one showcasing the Tasmanian Wilderness
Awesome quality footage as always👌👍
That was so picturesque.
That was an amazing find Rob that would have cost a lot of money to build the track and and the cable car set up maybe you could do a vid walking that track to see where it goes to love your work mate.

Awesome trip Rob. That new raft of yours looks awesome. Always struck about our(nz) west coast rivers and forests are very similar to Tasmanias. Cheers for sharing your journey. Love what you show us
Yes,like trying to put you to sleep on a lazy float down stream and then putting you into a narrow gorge and trying to drown you.I'm thinking the White Salmon River,Klickitat or the Lost River,Paysayten Wilderness are 2 examples .
Awesome adventure again Rob.
Great video. Enjoy all of your work. Idaho, USA
Thanks, Rob another great adventure, keep up the great content mate...
That's as close to white water rafting as I'm getting, ha....great fun. Yes helmet and lifevest. Cool river chair lift, looks like that water can rise high....Thanks for the trip.
Awesome Rob. I'm definitely interested to here more about that cable man. Cheers
Another great video, watching from Wedderburn Vic
Thank you for sharing your amazing trip and film brother... 👌🏽 Much love from Ireland....
Nice to see you enjoying yourself doing some prospecting for gold in the West-Coast of Tassie and doing some pack rafting down a river plus what a cool find of some kind of "cable car"? in the bush. I can see another video coming about it the bush cable car and how it got there? Hopefully rob, you'll invite your best mate Levi on that one......Pete from Devonport.
Great video,
Your videos are outstanding.
Great to see you back at it Rob, intriguing find - has to be more to that!
tysm enjoyed watching....as all ways
Those very old steel cables remind why a pilot cross country should never drop one's guard and adventure fly low trekking a valley or rivers. Many places around the world there are cables crossing valleys and rivers. Thanks Rob! Great adventure!
