Nice setup, I think I need a drege now :-) ... made a home made mini sluice for gold, ending up with finding a small diamond.

The best arrowhead I found was made of quartz. Sharp point until I played William tell and had it stuck in a tree.

Having a good friend that’ll go with you on little expeditions like this makes everything a lot better. Nobody wants to pack all this shit in alone, I mean that’s not the point, just having one of your boys around to cut-up with and just doing something fun, doesn’t matter if you don’t find anything at all, if u have good honest friends you are very lucky.

Try doing this, fill up five buckets of the concentrate, 5 full buckets of concentrate then clean that up. Then take that gold and save it until you've done 700 buckets

It ends up being more of a hobby because of equipment costs and fuel costs and everything costs. You do make money but not as much as you think you would. It's almost like gambling

All day with a Dredge you need at least 3 to 4 grams... or move to a better spot.

the weird thing about north america is that every river, creek whatever is flat. where i live (southern sweden) every waters are deep and like a bath tub. deep close to the shore line and deep all way to the other side. there is no way you can stand in them 0.5 meter from the shore, and we never have bedrock in them, only top soil'ish material. i guess that is why no one bother to look for minerals here. and no one barely ever did. the only possible places to find pan gold is under our roads. so i guess we will be the last place on the planet with remaining gold in our soil.

Gold amounts are relative to where you are in the world, NC has some gold but it’s hard to find in large amounts as most of it was mined out during the first gold rush in America. Yes, it’s a small amount compared to Alaska or the Yukon, but it’s still 1/4 gram more than I had the day before.
