Are you having DHCP conflict (both routers issuing DHCP leases?). The way around this is to connect your Starlink router via ethernet and connect to a LAN port on your secondary router not WAN. Then turn off DHCP on your secondary router. This makes your secondaey router act like a switch and you don't get ip address conflicts caused by competing DHCP leases. Just a thought.
Set your router in bridge mode, some proprietary modems/routers will not work well in Dual-Nat situations. One question I can get a Starlink from a grey seller, but the "services" are not available in my area. Will it work? My phone's Starlink app sees the satellites and tells me it gets a great connection.
A negative aspect that is not addressed here... How about no static IP or port forwarding to allow remote access to your network? Yes, there are VPN options but it's not obvious when buying into the system. And it's not a simple setup - for me anyway.
Thanks for making this video! With the 3rd party router out of the equation, are you still using the Ethernet adapter? If so, are you just routing it to your Ethernet switch and then routing that to mesh points?
Hello, how can I extend my Starlink Wifi? I have two cabins side by side about 4 meters distance apart. It works well with both cabins but keeps on disconnecting with outdoor CCTV. Any suggestions? Thank you!
I suspected that the 3rd party router will not be supported. Somehow, the guys at Starlink want you to use Starlink accessories ONLY. Even fabricated mounts will make your Starlink not work as it should.
Nice update Bro. U have no choice in the mountains😂. This problem is not unique to Starlink but any terrestrial connection, back in the days TVs, Radio suffered from this. Elon Mask is up in space he should sort it out soon
@@torogipro must be a device issue. mostly what causes my lag is the thermal throttle. after i turned on bypass mode it's working very well. I'm using a tplink archer ax1500. before i switched to bypass mode i get disconnected very often now I can even play league and ml without any problems. there are still the occasional spikes, but it's down to a minimal level now.
My starlink only has connection interruptions before night, and until then it works perfectly all night and all day! And so every day before night it starts losing connection again for a few seconds and then comes back again, if anyone knows what the problem is, let me know.
Ive had starlink for a year. Bought the ethernet adapter when I bought the hardware (on signup day). I use the starlink router for wifi. Never had an issue with either. Best decision ever! Go for it if you can. I have dropouts only when the dish locks on to a satellite thats partly obstructed by a very tall tree, occassionally Dishy updates its own software too.
Clouds have no bearing on signal. Heavy Rain - Yes, Clouds - NO.
ok

Sir, i fixed that problem by using ubiquity edgerouter and input config in the SQM at QoS . Gaming is smooth now and no drop call in 1hr zoom .
Please Can I use a Dlink router DIR-612 ad my third party router?
why not you do just plug the Lan from Starlink adapter right to Switch manageable Netgear?
why you have to plugin in to rhe router first?
You can use (set up) your 3rd party router(s) as APs?
Yes bruh
Did the ethernet adapter improve latency?
Basically well put.
sir please create a tutorial video on how to setup a 3rd party router on the Starlink pls!
Can you port forward in bypass mode?
Anothe subscription to see starlink 😀 so that you can portforward
