This mall was declining long before Covid. What initially really hurt it was the expansion of the West Covina Mall in the 90s/00s, it's located about 6 miles north of here. It ultimately ended up replacing Puente Hills as the primary shopping destination for this particular region of LA County. Compound that with the ever-evolving consumer landscape, plus rapid demographic changes in the surrounding neighborhoods, and this poor place never stood a chance sadly 😢 I'm actually surprised it's lasted as long as it has, tbh.
Its sad to see that malls are becoming a thing of the past. There is a mall about 40mins away from me that's usually very busy but tur stores ate expensive and then there's another 5 mins away and that one is always dead.
As soon as you guys walk in It smells LMAO!!!!!........Poor mall it's pretty much dead now. I grew up over the hill from that mall used to go too it many times it was always so crowded back then.

There’s a mall near me that’s dead too. FYE was there a few weeks ago and now it’s gone. I loved that store 😢
I read that even more FYE stores will be closing this year
I remember that mall back in the day! It was a popular hang out spot!
5:36 The mall may be officially closing, and I'm now officially wanting a pretzel. 🥨
Not a bad thing to want lol
lol best part of a mall trip
And this--->🍕
We actually grabbed some Wetzels pretzels we couldn’t resist 🤣
I remember that video and it was empty, it makes me feel bad that malls are dying! We are all guilty for buying too much online!
Yes we are lol
That sign is iconic. I was looking for the JCPenney sign on the outside just like in the movie.I guess it's long gone.
Yes it certainly is! JCPenney left in 1996.
That mall has been dead for a long time it sucks for the fans of BTTF but it’s time for it to go I think

In 10 years these things will all be gone
Many Malls charge way too much for rent for most stores to make enough money to stay in business.
Yes it's a real shame!
Hopefully they at least let the fans have a part of it
Let’s hope!!
Aww man

Unfortunately that mall was a living corpse the moment that real estate development company bought it. 😕
