Me and my friend were playing DS2 yesterday and we got that secret red mist "trap". Had no clue what it did but now I know. Wish I recorded it.

Every time I open the chest before the Prowling Magus and Congregation boss I find that red mist, is it supposed to be like that?
@@leonardoscheffel1273 That one is different. That's a unique trap chest that agitates the spiders in the room.
I’ve gotten that red mist thing before but had no idea what it was. The video jogged my memory about it and now i know
I love how whenever the darksouls community makes a new discovery they immediately find ways to use it for violence
Naturally. That's how all Dark Souls problems are solved, after all!

in DS3 I was in the Grand Archives, I had just dipped my head in some wax and decided to "stretch out" gesture in the pile of dead wax priests,then I was invaded, I decided not to move and see what happens, I saw the invader ran past me several times before returning to his world, I thought it was hilarious

Discoveries like the one in the final clip are hard to come by. I've been doing totally voluntary research into falling of Firelink Shrine for over ten years now and still have yet to find anything useful.

Damn, Reapra might be the biggest tank I've ever seen in DS3. I really like defensive builds and have tried something similar. May we meet sometime to see who's the bigger poise fetishist.

Woah wtf!!! I’m a diehard ds2 fan, played throughout middle school to high school and still in college. Hit maximum arena rank and almost all weapons. 1000s and 1000s of hours but have never seen that radiant aura chest that’s cool!

You can get out of the lift glitch in ds3, you end up landing down where the spinny guy and lightning arrow spell is. You take a fair bit of fall damage but I have gotten out on more than one occasion.

I'm 100% sure I've seen the red mist before. I just didn't know it heals you because if a Dark Souls game throws red mist at me after opening a chest I definitely won't wait to find out what it does.

I've seen that red mist in ds2 many times but I never knew what it did. Trap chest means get away so I never stayed close enough to find out lol

The first build is similar to one I saw of a player on a video using iron flesh with the quick step dagger weapon art to move fast.

Holy shit, the fact that even now there are still new things about ds2 to be discovered is both amazing and sad. Really wish that game didn't go through development hell like it did. It could have been so much more and it already is a lot.

I found the red mist trap chest during my first play-through DS2. For me it was the one in the spider area so when I opened the chest I freaked out and rolled away and all the spider dropped down so I though that’s what the trap did at the time 😂. Though I never got it again and the spiders still dropped down so I always wondered what the trap actually did
The spider one is different and actually agitates the spiders

I like using Havel's Greatshield and Brigand Twindaggers to use the weapon art for chasing people down with the weapon art and cutting them to pieces

I've had the red cloud "trap" before a couple of times. Not sure about all chests being randomized, at least there's a few that always have the same trap in them.

10:44 I think I've seen that trap before, over in the small cave area with all the spiders the first time I ever ran through it. I always thought it was a special one that made the spiders hostile, so I avoided opening it in further playthroughs...

I found that red traps years ago i think i just rolled away i was too much in a panic from those lil ass spiders
the "red trap" chests in ds 2 (when i was hollow) i triggered that trap a lot, its very rare but i discovered it a long time ago. i thought everyone knew about that
The first time a youtuber has actually an add im interested in the browser looks cool
not sure if you done this but a "top ten historical moments in soulsborne" would be cool, things like the first no damage run or otz all bosses no hit run were completed. a way to celebrate all the big moments in soulsborne history and what the community has done before elden ring comes out

Huh. I've had one of those red mist trapped chests before. Didnt know it healed you. I just rolled away out of reflex. Didnt know it was rare, either.
I believe you can also sometimes get the "evil eye" trap in DS2 outside the one room with spiders where it always appears. I've got it once and scared the s- out of me.

I havent played ds2 in ages but got that chest a few times when getting the blue flames early on, all i thought it did was scare the living hell out of me.
