I had a problem with 100% memory usage on windows 10 a while back, there were too many programs trying to run on startup and in the background (by default?) , and there is also a bug that causes 'superfetch' service to spike your memory usage and it needs to be disabled.

Stopping programs from autoloading if they are not required can solve a lot of issues.
