How to Build a RC 1/10 Scale Rock Crawler Bridge

- We built a thing! :)
We decided to take on the challenge of building a 1/10 scale bridge for our RC rock crawlers. The whole goal was to use leftover wood from previous projects, make a fun bridge, and then donate it to the Big Buddha's RC Ranch ( / bigbuddhasrcranch .
At the end of this, we built a whole bridge for the cost of some screws and my time! That is pretty good!
I am thinking of making some more 1/10 scale buildings and things. Any idea what I should make next? Let me know in the comments below!

thanks for this video. i have a tramatic brain injury. i love RC. doing a basement crawl for winter. i have a hard time figuring out how i want to build something bc of the TBI... and your videos just lay it all out for me. so i would like to thank you again.
Awesome! More stuff coming also.
Is there anything specific you would like to see?
Bonjour mon ami 👍hello my friend 👍very good job congrats buddy
I enjoy watching your work thanks for sharings good morning of France
Thank you for your support!
Looking great!
You can get a great weathered look painting it with a DIY vinegar/steel wool concoction. Reacts with the tannins in the wood😎
No way!
How do I do this? Just spray with vinegar and scratch with steel wool?
Neat! Chevelle looks good, too!
Thanks!
I keep meaning to do a video on it also.
Yes, this helped me out a lot. Been wanting to build a bridge, but what I really want is a 1/10 scale gas station with two stalls you could drive your 1/10 scale truck right in that would be super cool👍👍😁
Nice looking bridge
Thank you! I hope it lives a long life and folks enjoy it at Big Buddhas RC Ranch.
Yeah, I like it. Awesome bridge dude, I appreciate the how to videos. Turned out sweet dude I’ll be watching for Moore, this is the beauty of this awesome hobby yeah.👍👍😎

👍👍
Thank you!
Tennessee guy here as well . Looking to buy my first 1/10 scale crawler . Looking at a Traxxas trx4 sport or trx4 traxx
I 100% recommend the Sport over the Trax. Honestly - the Trax are only good in snow or sand. Otherwise, they make for a horrible crawler.
Can also use a little concrete to lock some smooth rocks or jagged rocks to add some difficulty to the ramps if you want them to be interchangeable. Can use some warped wood sticks that you cut in the middle and flip one side and make a good flexing ramp with a single stick.
Those are great ideas - thank you!
That concept with the stick is tricky.
@@RoadsideRC let me better explain. Like a old 2/4 that’s been laying up on the side of something. Now has a descent bend in it. Cut that down the middle and flip one side.
Gorgeous chevelle. 7d?
Thanks!
1971!
My son and I are starting the rc hobby and building our own course is right up our alley thanks for the ideas and inspiration!
Happy to! I hope you build something awesome!
Niceee, u gonna paint it?
I was - had the color all picked out and everything....then the guy running Big Buddha's suggested I keep it like this.
A coverd bridge with windows
That would be nice!
How about building something like a teeter-totter. 🤔
Good idea!
Thank you.
@@RoadsideRC Just a thought make the two sides pivot at a different point. Just saying because then I can copy yours.
I thought of that, like a double teeter-totter, right?
The thing I could not figure out is that to work, the length would have to change as it moved.
I heard very good opinions about the woodglut plans.
Never heard of them- I'll need to check them out.
