    Thank You!!!! This saved my parents lots of money and time. I called a local Nissan dealer for the switch, ($72.68 with tax) and within an hour had the new switch in and the car started up right away. After watching your video's part 1 and part 2 I felt confident I could put the new switch in again Thank You!!

      Its the little things you need to think about..like let's see, in order to start the car, I need to step on the brakes...Why? How does the car know or why does it need to know in order to start a car...because then any little kid or baby can push the button and start the car because they see you do it...monkey see, monkey do.. but since you did everything all ready..you should be good for the next 10 years on those parts... good luck and thanks for watching..You saved the Best for last.

Just bend the wire out and it works perfect again. No need to waist money when can clean and repair yourself. This is called REFURBISHED.

    Great video the brake switch works in some cases. If it doesn't work it's the Smart Alternator -grey wire connected to battery. It limits power to the battery and doesn't recharge while on short drives (8 miles or less). Removing the wire bypasses this alternator 'limitation' and powers it up. You may need to check battery strength/recharge. If it's clicking and not turning over.

    • @alyoungcuda
      @alyoungcuda  7 місяців тому +1

      You will have to show me some kind of proof or wiring diagram for what you said, it doesn't make sense if someone only uses a car to go to local stores in the neighborhood and it won't charge, besides if it doesn't charge then the battery would be dead and that's the easiest troubleshooting you can find and once the battery is dead. Its dead, you need a boost..if you keep pressing the button and then it starts, its Not the Battery.

      Go thru the comments on this video and the other one..there are alot of things to check..battery,battery terminal cleanliness, tight connection, fuses,battery block fuse,starter, neutral safety switch,starter button itself, aftermarket alarms, don't assume things are good, tight, clean or otherwise.. so many say it starts with a jump but then it won't start again but the battery is good..No.a jump means it is dead or your terminals are bad and the jumper clamp made it tight for that 1 time..

    I see the part number 25320-AX11A. The nissanoem parts website says this won’t fit the 2018 Altima ( I just have the s model I see you have the sr) .. I tried both models and it says it doesn’t fit but I’m inclined to purchase because it worked for your Altima when it said it won’t fit it! This is correct part number?

    • @alyoungcuda
      @alyoungcuda  3 роки тому +1

      Alot of parts are revised so the part numbers change...its hard to tell which ones are the older version...in Audi they change the last alphabet so the A is the 1st version and the Z is the latest and of course they have the ones in the middle

    So I changed the brake switch and still get the no start, literally everyday. I have to wait 15-20 mins before I can restart the vehicle after turning it off. And I do not hear the solenoid inside the gear shift when I press on the brake. The other day I was paying attention and listened for it and actually heard it. Could the solenoid be damaged inside the gear shift? Or something of that nature? Thanks in advance

      @@alyoungcuda I just did the light test, and the lights stay bright so this looks to be the starter? The button I would assume is fine and functions perfectly. You lost me on this if the car does Not have the push button to start and starts with a key, you do not need to step on the brakes for a brake light to start the car..keys do not use the brake light, the Button does to prevent little kids from pushing the button and starting the car..they need to atleast reach the brake pedal...
