Yeah, the intake would require something that can handle: pressure, heat, and gasoline/oil. the surface also needs to be clean. It is possible the marine JB weld (epoxy) would do the trick as a cheap/temporary fix. However, there is likely a better solution available (aside from an aluminum weld or replacing the intake). But think if this as an excuse to get a high performance intake 🤷♀️.
Definitely could have used a different variety of jb. Used what they had. The one i got was just a used stock unit. Couldn't argue with how cheap it was haha
You probably should have given it more time. Even though it says an hour, take more time like 5 hours or a day. Maybe you did that, idk. But companies put an hour so you feel it can be done quickly and their product sells faster
@@315motorsport5 oh i don’t think I heard that. But I think I’ll use it. I want to plug a hole 🕳 that’s the circumference of 2 and a half inches. You think it’ll plug it? I just basically want to purposely clog a pipe in my car that has no use
If you dont have a welder might as well try before doing anything more expensive. Worst case you replace the pipe or get it welded if it doesn't work i suppose. It'll make an improvement maybe just wont be perfect
Looks like not enough cure time but more importantly since it’s coming out from all sides I’d guess the surface area wasn’t clean enough.
Cured for 7+ days. The exposed easier to reach n see areas were well cleaned. The deep areas not as well cleaned
Thanks for sharing 👍

Now put jb welder over it
Use the high heat paste then the putty on top
Noted
Did you make sure to sand the area thoroughly prior to applying the Jb?
Didn't do any sanding just cleaned it torched the oil out n cleaned it again
-Make sure to flatten out the surrounding putty.
-Sand again after drying.
-Place some
High Temp Aluminum Foil Tape over it neatly
🏌♀️
Will make sure to do that next time i use it 🤙
🤞🏾💯
Try jb water weld
Ended up just buying a used intake
Hopefully it was cheap at least.
...and the gaskets weren't a nightmare to scrape off.

Sat in the garage curing over 7 days straight idk if i mentioned that in either shorts
