I was in Slovenia a few weeks ago and it was hot, but not 40 degrees (though I did once see 41 on my temperature gauge coming out of Valencia in 2015). We stayed in an apartment near Lake Bled and the food was fabulous, though of course we weren’t camping! We went to a national park with a gorge (Vintgar?) and did the Russian pass (Vsiric?) but that was all, apart from wandering round Bled. Looking back Slovenia was possibly the best part of our trip, apart perhaps from the Austrian lakes. I’m keen to go back. Looking forward to your next instalment!
Interesting campsite and even more interesting food, I wonder what he was smoking. The scenery was still very nice. looking forward to what happens next.

With reference to Zermatt at the beginning I presume this was at the end of June. Hopefully the sausage was goat and not a wild or stray animal such as badger, fox, etc which are very strong in flavour and a reason why they're not generally eaten. I had goat for the first time this year and it was very tasty, so I'm hoping for the best for you! 😉 Hungary, Slovakia and then Poland next?
Hi guys ref seats do you use anything like Cool covers . I was doubting it would help my arse, but definitely worth a go did France and Spanish Pyrenees in June and it was 100% better. Before I was convinced I was smuggling ferrets in my pants 😂
I don’t use cool covers but I tell you what made a good difference to me in hot weather… I bought the Step one boxers, made of bamboo wicking stuff, that was a game changer 🤣
Hope you will not hit another happy campsite ( it might ruin country impression ), personally I am in favour of Slovenia, although I am from Split, Croatia.Wish you safe ride and waiting for next episode.
We are fast appreciating finding quite and small campsites to stay on, nothing more disappointing than turning up to a campsite to find it’s rammed full and noisy
The fried kalbasi and eggs looks delish. Traditional simple food in eastern Europe. Add 100 grams of vodka with a salty pickle and you good for a day. I'll trade it for any seafood. I don't know how you are doing it in 38 degrees weather. I stopped riding when it's above 30. No fun. Good clip. Carry on. Cheers.
Cheers bud, the eggs were actually quite good it had some sort of cheese and fried onions, the sausage however was questionable lol We came to like our unique friend Alfie 🤣
You have little nice to tell about any country. Also, you do not experience any country, you just drive trough. If you choose the cheapest food and places you get the poorest service.
Yes that’s correct we are just passing through we don’t have enough time to explore every country we pass through. Sure we would love to have unlimited time and funds but of course that is not reality
Brilliant video... especially the 'discreet' comments regarding the camp site and people there. As another 'non drinker' I have found myself in that situation many times, especially in France. I eventually struck on sparkling water as an acceptable alternative to the wine I was offered with almost every meal, but many people have a real difficulty understanding that there are those of us who never drink alcohol. Really enjoying this series and fascinated to see how Slovenia works out for you.
We usually opt for beer zero, there’s often lots of alcohol free options for us but it was all a bit odd at this place, no drinks like coke for example, all home made flavoured water or alcohol drinks. Nice people just a bit different
I think you folks should carry your cans of baked beans wherever you go. It’s surprising to see you fussy with food when you know for a fact you don’t get home food once you leave home. Otherwise it’s cheese and bread and be done with it. Truly, if you going to bitch n moan about foreign food, best to carry cans, buy your own meat and grill it or stick to beef/chicken/fish to avoid eating other stuff. If you buy something to fry/bbq just before getting to the camp, you eat what you want and you keep it all as hygienic as you want. If you going to be going on about health and safety in old eastern block countries, best not go there at all. It spoils the adventure if you whinging about food daily. 🤷👎
Sorry you feel that way bud. I think you get us wrong, we have a great sense of humour and are enjoying ourselves in our own way, we love these random funny places and the unexpected things we come across, we just show you it in our own unique way. Happy travels
@@kosanadol this id true but you will agree downtown Slovenia is not exactly downtown UK/France/Spain/Italy/Germany…. Alot of these old/ex- eastern block places are like time capsules with much of it decades behind the rest. Now while it adds to to the charm of it, it does mean one has to be tolerant while touring.
@@ontheroadadventure not sure what I got wrong. I have followed many if not all your content, often in places I have visited myself. There are many videos where food is a problem. In France, most guys will travel with bread, saucison(dried sausage) and cheese. You basically stop where there is a view and eat. Sometimees, like in Spain or Portugal, you can get sit down meal for 8€. You get food trucks/mobile quick food in most countries with burgers/steaks/pizza/hot dogs/sandwhiches. You can get into a supermarket and get the ready to eat pasta salads, or buy their ready to eat inhouse food at the dheli counter. I also carry a gas cooker and disposable bbq. Throw on sausages, steaks, do scrambled eggs. All that with bread. You’re set for the evening or the day There is truly no need to be whinging about food in a foreign country. When I visit the UK, I live on full English breakfast and steak pies and lamb and mint sausages. If it’s a Sunday I want proper roast, gravy and Yorkshire pudding. This weekend I will be visiting the ile of Jersey to experience all that as it’s a quick hop from Brittany. You can also use Tripadvisor to find the best places to eat in the specific location you in. If you walk into a place, you can see straight away if it’s dodgy. If it is, just leave. 🙂🤷

Your so lucky to have a girlfriend or wife who likes motorcycles ride safe
Thanks Scott, We love it so much, it’s our passion to ride together
Hey Rich, have seen the film ‘wrong turn’ lol hope you still there in the morning and not in the sausage 😅😅
Yes! Apparently it could have just been goat or Guinea pig so nothing to worry about… 🤮
its very hard to light petrol with a cigy was hard when petrol wasnt utter shite like it is today so be near 0 chance unless you try really hard
That’s good to know! I believe it’s the fumes from petrol that’s combustible as opposed to the liquid itself?
Another crackin episode, loved the 'even the waters home made'🤣🤣🤣🤣
Funny old world ain’t it! These funny places and things that happen along our adventures just make our trips and give us so much to chuckle about
Can`t help it , but i must think on the Muppet show . Haha.
As long as your entertained and having a chuckle it’s all good 👍
hope you enjoy your night with the new age travellers , i think they make there sausages out of guinea pig meat in Slovenia , try and keep Rich off the swings 😂
Croatia is next door and is a beautiful country and i found the people very friendly definitely worth a visit 👍
Guinea pigs?! Surely not?! 😮
@@ontheroadadventure 😂
With reference to Zermatt at the beginning I presume this was at the end of June. Hopefully the sausage was goat and not a wild or stray animal such as badger, fox, etc which are very strong in flavour and a reason why they're not generally eaten. I had goat for the first time this year and it was very tasty, so I'm hoping for the best for you! 😉 Hungary, Slovakia and then Poland next?
Yes this was the end of June poor Zermatt had it bad and got flooded and hit with storms so we decided not to go there
Hungary, slovakia and Poland you say….. watch this space then 😉

Welcome to Slovenija! 🙂
Thank you!
3:54 nice one guys ,take care 👋🤠👍
Evening Cliff 👋
Hi guys ref seats do you use anything like Cool covers . I was doubting it would help my arse, but definitely worth a go did France and Spanish Pyrenees in June and it was 100% better. Before I was convinced I was smuggling ferrets in my pants 😂
I don’t use cool covers but I tell you what made a good difference to me in hot weather… I bought the Step one boxers, made of bamboo wicking stuff, that was a game changer 🤣
@@ontheroadadventure and me bought those and combined with Cool seat cover perfect butt
Now i want the Cool cover!
You'll hear a bell and a fish n chip van will appear for supper.. what a great ending on the video... i think your missing blighty
You’d think they would lose their minds if they discovered sausage and chips or a jacket potato with cheese n beans!
Hope you will not hit another happy campsite ( it might ruin country impression ), personally I am in favour of Slovenia, although I am from Split, Croatia.Wish you safe ride and waiting for next episode.
Haha all part of the adventure isn’t it!
@@ontheroadadventure It could have been interesting indeed, with that sausage possibly🤢 a different type of adventure
Sometimes its best to ask no more questions lol
@@ontheroadadventure 🤣🤣🤣

No kidding the truth from you two. Thanks for true reality and comedy. Ie . compost toilets
We say it how it is here bud! Glad you like our humour, see you in the next one 👍
Slovenija ❤❤❤
Cheers!
@@ontheroadadventure Na zdravje!!
(4:49) yeah, you can go ahead and drop me off right there. I'll camp by the water for a week before moving on.
We are fast appreciating finding quite and small campsites to stay on, nothing more disappointing than turning up to a campsite to find it’s rammed full and noisy
(19:40) you tell'um Ewa, she got food that she likes. ( I got a Big can of Sardines with mustard sauce) I'll be right over.)
Ewa will try to eat anything!
Lol sausages...... How the other half live.
To be fair, even though I take alcohol, I wouldn't have drunk some unknown stuff, could be hyper dodgy.
Alfie had hyper dodgy written all over him 🤣
(23:47) WOW Did, I see, chock on her words? (No Pun intended) & I believe I saw her Blush....... LOL....
lol that was funny! 🤣
Even the water is home made. Brilliant vid .love you to.
Not even joking 😂
You have little nice to tell about any country. Also, you do not experience any country, you just drive trough. If you choose the cheapest food and places you get the poorest service.
Yes that’s correct we are just passing through we don’t have enough time to explore every country we pass through. Sure we would love to have unlimited time and funds but of course that is not reality
Maybe you wandered into a commune....a cult? Did they dance around the trees naked in the early hours of the morning?
Possibly but we would have missed it having not opened the tent til midday as usual 🤣🤣🤣
@@ontheroadadventure 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣 You guys are as mad as a box of frogs! I just love to watch your moto camping adventures
Glad your with us 👍
If you don’t upload a new video, we’ll presume you’ve been murdered. 😂
Thanks mate! Could be us in the sausages tomorrow night
I've been waiting for the "The Grylls vs the Balkans" part of the trip and I'm not disappointed!
Haha brace yourself then!
Snakes 🐍?
Nope none here, Ewa called and had them all cleared out she told me
😂😂😂
We get to some weird and wonderful places!
Two negatives on a motorcycle
Sorry you feel that way
I think you folks should carry your cans of baked beans wherever you go. 🤷👎
Yugoslavia left the eastern block led by Soviet union in 1947. And Slovenia with it.
You’re set for the evening or the day
There is truly no need to be whinging about food in a foreign country.
Sometimes the worst meals are the most memorable!
