Dude..... Finally sombody demos KIESEL guitars that doesn't suck, only cater to Metal, or has a super over-processed sound. You are real, with no attitude, and are playing in the situation that most of us play in when not on stage, or with a full band (our bedrooms, basements, etc..), so we can actually hear the guitar and the differences between the pickups. You also demo with several different styles of Rock, Metal, and and even Jazz Fusion.... I really appreciate this , your relaxed attitude, and you ability.
What a killer demo. Not remotely close to what I would have specced in a Zeus, but what versatility you got out of that thorium/beryllium combo. Makes me reconsider my build. Rock on…
Just got my Zeus four months ago Ordered it with the active setup because I own two old model five Charvel’s from ‘86 and ‘87 respectively and both have Jackson EMG made active electronics and they sing But I really dislike the polarity set up. There is very little tonal difference from position to position I use mostly tube amps, and when playing this with my Marshall JVM410 some higher notes at some switch positions are almost invisible And with the Mark VII it can be shrill Very odd I will be switching to passive with a push pull tap But everything else on the guitar is fine pretty much the same piece you have Six string , 20” radius, trem, ss frets although in medium jumbo, I actually called and tried to change it to Jumbo two days after the order but if anybody knows Kiesel then they know that changes are not allowed A little silly considering my build was almost $3,500 Salesman tried telling me the neck was already done, but I still had to wait five months to get it So a little bit of BS there 2 days to build a 7 piece with top shelf ebony, pressed in the fret wire and luminous fret markers, lol Otherwise it’s a fine guitar Nothing beats a Floyd imho for sensitivity but the hipshot isn’t too bad Lastly not crazy about their bolt on I wanted neck through like my Charvel’s so it would not have been a Zeus but the 24.75 scale was limited to just one or two models and something I wanted when switching from my Gibsons especially my SG Actually that has medium frets so the Med jumbo are fine on the Zeus Honestly I would not buy another Kiesel from the current shop I have two older Carvins that are great One is the original DC-200 like Becker played Same year The build details are nicer and the ordering experience was better back then Probably would have gone strandberg but thought American made was the way to go Next is a Suhr I think
looks great! I have an NK7 that I customized back in September 2022 and its basically the same finish, lol, must have been on a similar wave-length lol
Nice job.. I do have a ZEUS myself before they were way expensive.. and I will never sell it ever but because I live in extreme weather conditions.. the maple neck always move and I always end up with sharp fret edges during winter but they are all gone when its summer!!HAHA!!! Anyways nice work and I always love watching your reviews Sir Chris!! Please do a review on the new GOC Materia with trem!! I would love to know your take on it!!
@Chris Tompkins I just ordered one very similar but with Abasi Fluence pickups and Honey Burst/California Burst/Black Sides. Question for you on the 5 way super switch because I brought it up several times and was told that it's not proper wiring to set it up with a 5 way and is better to do it with 3-way switch with 2 push pulls on the tone/volume which is supposed to give you a bit more to chose from and is better more stable wiring for whatever reason I couldn't understand that part. Thoughts on this? I'm still slightly concerned because Mcrocklin and some others have 5 way super switches on these and now you as well. Curious if you went through all this or how did you end up getting a 5 way switch from Kiesel on this?
I'm fairly certain, that HH guitars with passive pickups, get the 5-way super switch by default, through Kiesel. With the Fishmans, it is a better option to have a 3-way with 2 push pulls. you get the most options with that set-up. Folks who do a 5-way with fishman, are opting for one of the 2 (or 3) options that are available in the pickups. In short, a 5-way with fishmans, is limiting. Hope that helps clarify. :)

Just got my Aries. AMAZING!
Happy NGD! Absolutely gorgeous!
I like the first CLEREAN SOUND 🤘🥃😃💥
Nice build man. Sounds great
Very Cool, Currently awaiting my 2nd delos from the black friday sale. Man those guys are killing it lately. Cheers.
Looks great. I had an Osiris that I never meshed with and sold it, but that thing looks great.
Always good Chris!

And with the Mark VII it can be shrill
Very odd
I will be switching to passive with a push pull tap
But everything else on the guitar is fine pretty much the same piece you have
Six string ,
20” radius, trem, ss frets although in medium jumbo, I actually called and tried to change it to Jumbo two days after the order but if anybody knows Kiesel then they know that changes are not allowed
A little silly considering my build was almost $3,500
Salesman tried telling me the neck was already done, but I still had to wait five months to get it
So a little bit of BS there
2 days to build a 7 piece with top shelf ebony, pressed in the fret wire and luminous fret markers, lol
Otherwise it’s a fine guitar
Nothing beats a Floyd imho for sensitivity but the hipshot isn’t too bad
Lastly not crazy about their bolt on
I wanted neck through like my Charvel’s so it would not have been a Zeus but the 24.75 scale was limited to just one or two models and something I wanted when switching from my Gibsons especially my SG
Actually that has medium frets so the Med jumbo are fine on the Zeus
Honestly I would not buy another Kiesel from the current shop
I have two older Carvins that are great
One is the original DC-200 like Becker played
Same year
The build details are nicer and the ordering experience was better back then
Probably would have gone strandberg but thought American made was the way to go
Next is a Suhr I think
Congrats

Great Guitar, Better Guitar and even better beard ahahah
Nice! How do you find the 20 degree radius? The flattest I've gone is with my Delos, which is 14 degrees.
I grew up on Ibanez wizard necks. So, I am very comfortable on (and prefer) a flatter neck radius.
how much with all those appointments 😮...
$2319 in the Kiesel Builder today. However, I took advantage of the "Black Friday" sale and got it for $1899.
@@ChrisTompkins-Music-And-Gear that's a nice deal..
Is that a 1 pc. Swamp ash body ?
I don't believe so. At least I didn't order it that way.
Nice
