I painted some of those houses, and you’re right because it definitely does take three coats of paint!

Excellent job! I painted mine plan white with snow this year for a winter wonderland theme but I might repaint them for a red, green and white next year. Thanks for sharing.

A quick base coat of white really helps colors stay true when painting over any color. Especially when it's a piece with multiple colors with different tones (like yellow & blue) the colors can have a cool tone when painting atop blue & warmer when painting over yellow. It also helps from having to do so many coats of the chosen color & not to sound like a Karen, but the fluffy sticks are usually called pipe cleaners. Some may refer to them as Chenille Sticks (shen-neel) I only mention it because if anyone is searching for "Chanel Sticks" they may be confused 😉 But this is such an adorable idea! I love all the sparkle! ❇❇❇

I'm working a lot right now too! I love this time of year and all the festive decor. I wish there were enough hours in a day to accomplish everything that I would like, though. Cute makeover. Either I go to $ Tree at the wrong time or they don't carry these.
They should have out there village houses in the next month or so. The father north you live seem to take stores longer to put out there Christmas decor. Florida and some other southern states are already fully stocked it seems. Blessings friend 😊

Looks a little to light for gingerbread looks more of a putty or sand color.......not gingerbread !!! But turned out pretty 😊

The only thing with houses is they are so transparent. If you don’t put enough paint it looks horrible when lit.

Some Dollar Trees are really late putting things out. I'd check back or try a different Dollar Tree. They have them on their website, too. Blessings 🤗
