Anti Hunters Help Push me my Buck! Pennsylvania opening Day

  • Opening Day Pennsylvania was by far the most insane for me ever! with the best kill shot footage of a public land buck to date.
    It started out with fireworks or gun fire, then protesting and partial road blocking by either Anti Hunters, or a political group. This was near a large public land parking lot and being opening day deer season it was the perfect location for them.
    Either way it worked in my favor, they helped push a nice buck right to me. By far the best footage I ever captured of the kill shot to date!

      @@imanidiot9309 In Texas, it is legal to protect your right to hunt, so it’s 100% legal to take them down. I had to pop one a few years ago that was throwing rocks at me in my duck boat. Dropped in a slug and fixed the problem and went back to hunting. Reported the body to the game warden and showed him video of the attack. I simply left a written statement and that was it.

    I can remember years ago going hunting with my cousin west of Philly during the Flintlock season. They protesters came into the forest to follow us. With them watching I dropped a doe that was moving away from them. They called the cops. One of those old cell phones from the late 1990's. Since they would not stop harassing's the four of us, including the two property owners that we were hunting with, the one decided to place them under arrest for trespassing. So when the cops did show up, we informed them to take our 5 prisoners to the local magistrate. It was fun in that arraignment.

      @PA Outdoorsman one year at ft hood we had protrotestors at hunt control in deer suits and gen Ryan 1CAV deputy comander had to deal with them instead of going hunting that morning. So me and Scott (we got detailed to call turkey in for. VIPs) set up a hunt in one are that after noon for the general for missing the morning hunt. We drove a 9 poi t to him, the larget deer he ever shot. Thenthere was the people in deer suits in PA state gamelands 35 backing the late 80s. The got shot at, bumped with trucks and pummeled. That was a stupid move back then considering, people could get a way with murder back then due to who was elected for the DA and judge. We had a few cases in the last 10 years cleaning that up.

You'd just be giving them more reason to believe that. We as hunters should try to be as ethical and humane as possible to give the public a different opinion of us. Nice buck, congrats!.... I grew up in Pennsylvania years ago and remember hunting with a Remington 760 Gamemaster similar to your rifle chambered in 30-06, believe it or not, bought that rifle in K-Mart for $180 (wish I still had it). Not sure what's going on now days, but there never was such foolishness from "anti-hunters" back then, but then again, back then it wouldn't have been very "healthy" for them to pull that crap as most of the hunters were very united. But anyway, once again congrats on that fine buck and enjoy........ Aloha brother!

      Hey Man,
      THank you so much for watching appreciate it and Man I miss the old K Mart. we would go as kids as well got my first New England there which was just in my turkey hunt hot tent video if you look back. Those were the days everyone hunted and it was not all politics. These days too many are becoming too soft for this life style in the big woods. Appreciate you watching be safe.

      You're near me then. Tyler park always has protestors. They forget they built all around that park and pushed the deer to overpopulate. Hunting has to be done to maintain the herd. I won't hunt there because they're like pets and it's not really hunting for me. My home is near a large private wooded piece of land and the deer are tame there too. No sport in it. I can walk my dog in the yard and the deer and dog just look at each other.
      I can say good morning to them and they look at me and just do their thing.

      @@beebob1279 Yeah if you know them its weird. I came home from work and had a nice 6 pointer in my backyard just sunning himself. Everyone was like, "why didn't you shoot it ?" It would not have been very sporting. I don't go doe hunting either. I like the meat but would rather try and get a buck. I like the challenge with all the rules on antler sizes.

    • @beebob1279
      @beebob1279 3 роки тому +1

      @@randallhahn2137 the rut started the other week. I was out back with the dog and all I could hear crashing in the woods. Then the doe and a few young buck ran by. Next came the eight pointer I see regularly chasing everything around. Next he started chasing a doe through the back yard and across the street behind me. About an hour later I saw him come back and bed down in the brush behind my home. I walked over (keeping my distance) and he looked at me and I looked at him. That was it. A while later he walked into the woods. I still see him around the house but not as often. He's either too tired from rutting or went more nocturnal.
      I"m not sure where the twelve pointer went. I haven't seen him for over a month now.

    I will never understand people who think that they should be able to impose their will upon others just because they don't like what others are doing. Get a grip on reality people. Leave hunters alone. Much of the money coming in to take care of public lands comes from hunting and fishing license sales. Hunters and fishermen are the original conservationists and will appreciate wilderness much more than most ever will. Teddy Roosevelt was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He single handedly set aside Millions of acres of land for national monuments, national parks, and wildlife sanctuaries. Try talking to people instead of chanting and protesting. But don't think you have the right to impose your will on everyone else. Great video by the way and a great hunt. Congratulations!
