You think you make straight cuts but there is a difference between the accuracy and precision needed between finish carpentry/cabinet making and framing a house with a circ saw/basic carpentry. You probably think the corners of your plywood is actually square too.

You may not want to use one, but that doesn’t mean that someone who does use one doesn’t know how to run a regular circ saw. By your logic, anyone who uses a powered saw must not be able to cut a straight line with a hand saw, and therefore, is an inferior carpenter. 🤷🏻♂️ A track saw is just another advancement in technology and another tool in the arsenal. 👍🏻
we had real skills in the day...free hand baby....this is like all the crap in new cars so peaple don't have to pay attention to driving....... both skills should be well honed
How do you see what your cutting? The blade is on the wrong side... unless you're left handed. They make saws like that to help prevent rookies from hurting themselves. 🥸
