Good catch. I went down there (4/19-4/21) and fished the mouth from the rocks, was a horrible weekend with the wind. Going back tomorrow going to fish same side but the point.
My manager was down on the rocks there all week and landed 6. He said he slipped and fell in water, hit his back where he couldn’t get up for anyone to help and just layed in the water for 2 mins before he could get feeling to stand.

Nice man. Have you caught any on CDA this year? I was out the other day with family. We had one on off the planer board but it got off. Caught 4 last summer but none big enough to keep, except one potential 20incher that threw the hook right by the boat!

No, I have not caught any on Coeur d’Alene this year not for the lack of trying I fished 10 days planer boards, Downrigger’s, and even drop weights and nothing I usually have my best luck at the end of May early June though that’s a bummer that it got off. Yeah the fish population is dwindling for sure.
Yeah it’s definitely a finicky fishery. I almost gave up entirely but catching those smaller ones last summer gave me hope to keep trying. Plus I can catch a surprising amount of Kokanee simultaneously while trolling fast for chinook at like 1.8 to 2mph. I’ve also been meaning to try spirit lake but the only info I can really find is people ice fishing for chinook not trolling.
@@tbcooperstube Yeah you can say that again brother! Thats awesome i know there is a good pop of kokanee as well as a few chinook around ima get back after it when i get back from washington this next week! Spirit lake is another good one to get out and try for some on!
