How many fish in the pool do you think it takes to be good fishing? The reason I ask is it opens on the 1st I think and the majority of the fish will still be in route (not many in the pool on the opener). I want to take my grandkids and am wondering if I should wait a week or so. Any opinion or insight is much appreciated. Thanks, Glenn
Hey brother great question! Honestly the okanagan river is still cold enough for those fish to travel up river so all the early fish right now will be not hanging out in the pool once the okanagan river stays above 68 degrees those fish are trapped in the pool. I would say the week after the opener until the closure will be on fire. Now I’m not saying those 1st fish won’t bite. I’m just saying as of today the water temp is still to warm for them to hang out. I’m going on the 20th for a few days and the 6th in the lower river
Also as of now, there is no thermal barrier. I should have included that in my question below. Thanks again very good video!
If you haven’t check out the new shop yet. Check out Brewster bait & tackle. 1408 sunset drive Brewster. Fully stocked and ready to go for the fishery
I run 50lb braided on my baitcasters and the only knot I ever use on any setup is the fisherman's knot.
No barb. Treble trailer, triples landings. tml
Love the vids keep em coming.
Thanks a ton!
Can't wait to see you out there. Tight lines buddy
Can't wait! Tight Lines!
Dude, I didn’t know you fished Brewster! I’ve never seen you over there. Maybe this year, it’s going to be a good season 👍
