Faris Badwan is for me one of the most talented musician of his generation. The last Horrors' album is an underrated masterpiece (listen to "Change Your Mind" or "Sleepwalk").
I'm not a religious person, but if they played more songs like this one in churches, even if they were only half as beautiful or performed with a third of the passion, nobody would be able to make me leave them ever again. I don't think there is any way for words to describe how incredibly beautiful and perfect this song is! Thank you so much!
Possibly the most beautiful song/tune/performance ever
trying to recover from the overwhelming emotion of listening to this for the first time. it literally feels like faris ripped me open and pulled out my heart, then subjected it to the most beautiful organ/choirgirl arrangement i've ever heard, then stuffed my heart back into my body. FUCKING GORGEOUS.
just breathtakingly beautiful. faris has really found himself and you can hear and see it. I have so much respect for them both, they are amazing musicians.
I'd have given my left leg to be there! Can't even imagine what it was like.
conny lake 🤣
WOW, goosebumps or what...
It's criminal how so few people have heard this
Imagine hearing this live, with the brilliant acoustics involved... I am content with just watching this video though, thank you for making such beautiful music.
Holy crap it's like Danny Elfmann + Philip Glass + lyrics. And beautiful voices. Can't wait for the EP!
St Peter's Basilica - incredible. This is the most beautiful performance ever recorded, it is totally peerless.
Faris' voice is so beautiful. I don't usually cry at videos but this brought a tear to my eye.
Mesmeric in every way possible. Perfection.
Incredible. A beautiful composition. Sometimes the organ compliments the human voice in such a way that one can really sense how the voice itself is a wonderful instrument. Compliments to Badwan and Zeffira and smiles to the chorus. I visited the website, can't wait for even more than what's been recorded thus far. THX Cats Eyes.You made the day even better than it was.
No words can actually describe the way I felt while watching this. Absolutely beautiful.
shivers..
lovley hauting sound that wil stay with me great for a funeral !!!!
The Orchestration is truly beautiful in this song. Ethereal to say the least.
There are no words for how this makes me feel...
I listened to Rachel Zeffira's debut album and thought the same at some of the songs :)
So much love for both of them, honestly.
Loved this! It's sublime!
Gorgeous sounds and beautifully shot. Wonderfully lush and moving music to come across at 4 AM.
Truly beautiful!!!!
They are AWESOME!
Fucking beautiful. I couldn't move while I was listening to this. I was just paralyzed by how amazing it is. Thank you Faris!
WOW Absolutely Stunning !
In My Favs.
Thanks For Downloading.
Keep Smiling.
I'm going to see cats eyes next month I live in one of the three selected cities they are appearing...
Mind blowingly brilliant!
What a duo!!
WOWOWOWOWOW!!! BEAUTIFUL!!
Brilliant idea, arrangement and performance.
Amazing.
IT IS BEAUTIFUL
I'm enjoying this very much, can't wait for the album!
I'm tearing up. it's beautiful.
happy valentines day every one!!
as much as i love the horrors, faris is not nearly the star here, but i would never had found it if he hadn't played his part.
this takes my breath away. so good...
Well, what a wonderful video...Vatican is beautiful, and the song is incredible. This looks like a prayer from another world!
this is beautiful there is nothing else to say , i am literally speachless !
I love this song soo much. . .it actually made me tear up :)
Magical.
i'd sell my soul to this song.
Mammamiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa che brividi!
Those attendees got a free concert, how lucky of them.
man that was beautiful

@AiMuiNoodle just because it was played in a religious place doesn't mean it is a religious event. try to appreciate the beautiful architecture and acoustics. I personally am not religious, but i can go into a church and recognise how beautiful it is as a building. x
Faris is an interesting, but very cool musician, he can be erratic then be performing at church's, what a diverse artist.
Beauty
very full sound. nice work, "hippy"
perfect
I can't believe she can play that thing with both her hands and feet!
reminds me of Danny Elfman's music on Edward Scissorhands.
malditos crazy....excelente canción ;)
@lewisgardner93 your my hero!
This is incredible beautiful. Indeed, a song for the playlist of The Lord. Many thanks, Cat's Eyes, many thanks Rachel, many thanks Faris
What happened to the upload of I'm not stupid,, also videoed at the Vatican? I'd love to see that again too, but it's disappeared
HOLY SHIT!!
wiki" Using Zeffira's classical music contacts the band were able to perform a short performance using a church organ and choir at the Vatican, in front of several important cardinals.
super.
In the Vatican? This really is a surprise.
Good vibes. The intro reminded me of the more religious Spacemen3 tracks. x
If you want the story, you gotta listen to "The Story" podcast. Rachel tells all! Its the second story from June 28, 2013. "To Score Holy Gig, Singer Deceived - Then Confessed" Since I can't post a link, You are going to have to search!
Jay Neale four years later! Thank you :)
nice location i think
how is this ten years old
@lewisgardner93 that was rob, you know the guy off the bing advert
faris badwan is hauntingly cool, this song sends a shiver down my spine.
p.s watch the backing singers at 1:45, hahaha
This is a religious experience every time I see it
@inevercamester That's exactly what I thought when I first heard this!
@Skapete I'm not crude but she is just stunning. Love the album was beautiful.
@merryberry21 Couldn't help but agree with you there!
@pikeyvideos cheers joseph x
lo mas extraño que escuche en el 2011...
Does anyone know when the album will be released in the United States? This is too incredible not to own.
@mymanismarc- of course you would Megan ♥Kassy
genius.
I can't believe she can play that thing with both hands and feet?
does anybody know how they make those ping pong noises in the end?
@VranaCista Who do you think allowed them? The band would have been veted inside out. I know next to nothing about the lad doing the singing but the music is impressive and what a venue in which to debut your work. Did he burn a kitten hostel down or something?
How do I score a gig in the Vatican?!?!!!
@IndieKid45 Sorry fella, they definitely were. One of the choristers put all of her photos on tumblr and there is no doubt. It definitely happened.
This is so unexpected. I feel like a woman going to a restaurant for my birthday to find out I'm really going to Rome. And how on earth does one hire out the Vatican?
how could they be performing in vatican ? anyone got sum stories behind this ?
and they performed at buckingham palace too
Rachel Zeffira had a way in cos she's a classical singer, not really immersed in the traditional music industry as we know it. She had some contacts at the Vatican/knew someone who made it happen I believe
reminds of "the end of the world" by skeeter davis
The girl 4 in from the left is one of the most beautiful girls i've ever seen
Damn, I thought I saw her first, she's my crush.......
@jungleguns That's how an organ is played.
Why he has performed at the Vatican ?
Anyone knows?!
could someone tell me the lyrics i do not understand everything?? please!!!
belter mate
@jungleguns That's the principle of organs. Every organ player does. And, anyway, she's fantastic and that's all. :D
I knew it was over
before you told me so
before you looked away
before I begged you not to go
I knew it was over
I didn't have to ask why
I knew it was over
before you said goodbye
any words if vatican will join eurovision anytime soon???
@JousterinJudge im was thinking the same but with: "death at the chapel", jajajajajaja
@Joel354vanfanel
Winning comment
@IsItOnTab oh my god whatA
@xxzxcusxme yeah
what is this and since when was faris badwin in it?
how the hell do you get to perform in the vatican? geniuses.
he sounds like guy from doors jim morrisdon
@JousterinJudge hahah the pope would be honoured to listen to it...
@paskoxbox God's.
God, her feet just dance on those pedals.....I truly love this performance today as much as I did when I found this by accident all those years ago. (and on top of that I've still got an adult crush on the fourth chorister along from the left)...
@JousterinJudge JaJaJa!....
