Great blog, spent many a exercise in that area when serving in the British Army (BOAR) in the seventies, many a officer thought Umleitung was a village, hilarious when asked over the radio where they were, and they replied near a village called Umleitung.

Love germany ,i used to park in the autohofs when i was truck driving .they are first class places food is excellent showers spotless .many a motorhome i seen parked .

I did French at school, German wasn’t available at my school in the 70s but I went night school to learn it I found it easier than French
We only had one compulsory year of German in the 1970s then we had to choose between them. Mrs Slaw chose French. German is a more logical language than French!

First of all, we love your videos and never miss one, thank you. I hope you don't mind me asking, but we were wondering where you bought the two travel seats for the little doggies from? We are picking a little French Bulldog up from a Rescue and we have been looking at a lot online but the reviews are very mixed. The ones you have seem to look quite sturdy. Thank you.

Took me ages to get the pronunciation but “adult” = erwachsene. Just rolls off the tongue 😂. And “hausgemacht” = home-made. I love German compound words. Hope you guys gave one of the baths (as per Bads) a try; the sauna Landschaft’s might just be one of the 50 things to do before you die! We love ‘em. Keep up the good work. p.s. we’re not wavers 😂. Oh, and I used to love me grannies mucky fat too!

Have people stopped waving then? When we were motorhoming everyone in every country we went to waved. Germany one of my most favourite countries and the only one selling sweet German moselle wine.
It was very strange this year Pamela! Noticeably fewer wavers 🤷🏻♀️ Spätburgunder is our favourite Mosel wine 🍷

Ha ha! Pure fluke! We left them there one day and realised they don’t budge. It’s a rubber table mat and the fruit bowl is an Outwell Collapse Bowl and the basil pot has rubber feet 👍🏻

It’s magic! No, seriously, we found out by complete fluke. Left it by mistake and realised it stays there! It’s an Outwell Collapsible bowl which sits on a rubber mat. Amazing!

Yes, we think so. Mrs Slaw ran through corn fields on our trip down the Romantic Road a couple of years ago.
