Awesome informative video, really appreciated. Thank you! Because of my inexperience, I overwatered my avocado tree and it died ( or so I thought) from root rot. Months after I stopped watering it I realized that it was actually alive and had started growing up from the very bottom, since the rest of the tree (graft included) is dried. The new branch is about a foot below the grafting. Do I need to graft it again? Thank you!

I did a grafting on my avocado tree seedling about a month ago it's still green but I'm wondering when do the new Buds start pushing out I did in July it's now September
I noticed your new Reed shoot was not in any protective plastic bag or cloth or anything. How long do I have after I take the cuttings off the mother tree before I must graft it to it’s new location on my existing Haus avocado sucker?
JayBobJayBob doesn’t need protection unless there is high heat (100 degrees and up). Once you cut your scions, the sooner you can graft, the better. You can store scions in a ziplock bag in the fridge for up to two weeks
You have to stop pulling your knife towards you to make a cut. It can be very dangerous, especially with your wrist (and stomach/chest with bigger knives) exposed like that. Your video was great otherwise, just please be safe and always cut away from your body.
Your video is nice, but your knife handling looks scary. You already grafted your Thumb i guess :-) Anyway, you are using the right handed, single bevel knife, which is to be used for cutting towards you, not away from you.
