Today I want to show 2 ways I've been getting materials for a long time now. (6 Years) 1st method you might already know about but, the second way I have never seen any talk about.

ADHESIVE SHIPMENTS?! I can't believe how much time I wasted hunting down parts, I never realized any of that existed.

If you dedicate a couple settlements for farming mutfruits, tatos, and corn.....you can make vegetable starch to scrap at a cooking station for a free source of adhesive. No need to spend thousands of caps buying shipments.

you can still collect Junk and rank 3 scrapper will double the materials and boom you can do both but the shipments are better
What I do is have thousands of water supply so I can get a ton of purified water. Then I sell the water and buy guns and scrap directly from vendors. I make hundreds of aluminum, steel, springs, screws, and like 25 nuclear material if i scrap every gun I buy. I also just buy the shipments.
I'm definitely building a killing floor in my next playthrough. Already have some ideas based on what you showed in your video, and am really looking forward to seeing if they work. Thanks for sharing!

Gunner farms are great, if you have the CC Settlement Ambush kit, probably the most worth CC item imo, you can build a distress beacon to call gunner/raider attacks, I have the drive-in theatre set up as a fort and I play tower defense vs the gunners and then loot hundreds of bodies and get dumb amounts of weapons/armor
I've had the ambush kit for years now. I just started using it a couple of days ago. It's great for xp and farming loot for sure. 👽
If you don't mind Creation Club content, the settlement ambush kit is great for farming. XP, legendary Items, and loot. I get plenty of meat from that too. Great for survival mode. Taffington boathouse spawns the enemies in the same location. And with the spray n pray it makes it pretty easy. Do note legendary items spawn in more on survival mode.

Also the tea's with the Slocum's joe CC helps give a good XP boost while doing the farming. To help max that efficiency.
@_CosmicSton3r Yes! I use those. The tea and donuts are great. I'm 107 without cheating, and it takes a bit to level up now. So I'm gonna have to build an Ambush settlement. 👽
Do you play 100% mod free? The only mod I feel like I NEED is the "place anywhere" mod...I suck at using the rug and column method lol.

I have taken to building with concrete as the walls don't look like shit. Problem is getting cement. Never enough.
How do you do the slaughter house thing?
I’m pretty new to FO4. Started it a couple of times over the last couple years but career/life changes made it hard to stick to it

@@noercarr IIRC, you need to "repair" the cage (some basic material, plus 50 caps). So you have to take that into account to know if it is worth. (I didnt do the maths, probably, with perks it is very profitable. Not "all free materials", but cheaper than shipments)

Is your slaughter house done with commands (mods) or are those traps you are using?
Those are part of the wasteland work shop DLC. I have no mods installed, and I am on Xbox. 👽

Instead of scrapping the armour for one steel, you should sell it and buy a shipment of steel. Also removing all mods on weapons will give you the mods to sell.

Do weapon and armor mods affect the prices? How worth it is it to remove the mods first?
@kraevgames Worth it if you're willing to go sell it! 👽 They don't weigh too much and can give a good amount of caps.
Yes they will increase the price but if you are just scrapping them, then take off the mods to sell first.
Well, that title is yet half true.
No mods for sure, but using workshop content is also a modification to the game, which was not intended in first place.
The Wasteland workshop is a DLC. These two methods don't include anything from the creation club.
