Those are the four playing card suits in Spanish. Corazon is hearts, Diamante is diamonds, Trebol is clubs, and Pica is spades.

I can't believe we got both Law's and Doffy's backstory in the same vid and the caption is Doffy's backstory is tragic.
The greatest tragedy of what happened with Doflamingo and his dad is that narratively speaking it was the chance for humans to prove the Celestial Dragons wrong and for Doflamingo to see that he was wrong to believe what those around him tried to teach him and force his dad to believe. But instead they only proved that they were a bunch of hateful, violent, unforgiving beasts out for blood and they had no real escape from them. It does not matter if the citizens had good reason to hate Celestial Dragons it did not justify what they did and they only proved their oppressors right in looking down upon them and seeing them as lesser and only encouraged Doflamingo's more negative traits as a kid.
No way to actually prove them wrong by acting right when mingo's are the first of the lineage to not be an absolute piece of scumbag, the worst trash in their world. It was inevitable, every single time celestial dragons come to islands is to ransack, enslave and kill anyone who dares look at them or not revering and kneeling while being on their line of sight.
You see a pack of wolves coming everytime to your town to kill the townspeople. You see different packs every single time doing the same over and over, you won't believe a pack of wolves acting uninterested in the townsfolk, you'll kill them just in case they turn out to be like every single other pack or out of fear they attract other packs to fight for the territory.

They tortured a innocent family and created one of the worst terrors their world has ever seen. period. That was my point. That they were oblivious to just how much they were fucking up by getting this revenge on a random handful of people that just so happened to be Celestial Dragons.

Law's backstory is more shock and grief, while Doffy's is realization and rage. It can hit different.

Law getting a detailed Backstory (along with Cora and doffy) and he isn't even a straw hat is amazing! It has finally revealed his true name and it's a game changer, he nows play an important role as part of that clan. also if you look back at how Law has been behaving impulsively like Luffy despite being more strategic and aloor, you can tell he got the trait of the D clan
Don Quixote 'Corazon' Rosinante, is voiced by the veteran voice actor, Koichi Yamadera, known for famous roles like Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bepop), Beerus (Dragon Ball Super), Kaji Ryouji (Neon Genesis Evangelion), Zenigata Kouichi (Lupin III).
Usually some young female voice actress would get picked to do a male shounen characters childhood voice but in Law's case, it was Hiroshi Kamiya all along and he did an amazing job at it!

To be honest from what we've seen of the other Celestial Dragons I can't see any of them putting even their children ahead of their own safety.

It's 16 May, so happy birthday to Pudding Pudding, the Marine dude who utterly failed to do anything about Arlong. Yesterday was 15 May, birthday of Baby 5. And 14 May was the birthday of Baron Tamago, the egg dude from the Big Mom Pirates.
Also big detail that tends to be overlooked is that the government/celestials dropped the don quixote family off on an island not assimilated to the WG so an island that doesn't pay the heavenly tribute, an unlawful place where the WG authority doesn't reach, thus making the family much more vulnerable to attacks from the citizens. No way in hell the don quixote family would have been able to live peacefully there and no way the celestials didn't know that.
Conclusion : the celestials will always be shittier than everyone no matter what.

The comparison between Law and Doflamingo's childhoods is that they both went through hell and that they both have this urge to destroy out of petty yet righteous revenge. In other words, Doflamingo sees the same anger in Law that he has.
Giola wanted to raise the children as girls. Which is why Law wears eat rings, and why Delienger is flamboyant.
Law's surename 'Trafalgar' might be a reference to the Battle of Trafalgar. As the conflict included the countries France and Spain. Law's hometown could be based of France or at least Germany, and Dressrosa and Doflamingo's outfits are based off Spain, with a bit of Italy thrown in.

Doffy being made to pay for all the beliefs and acts of celestial dragons kinda fits tho. We don't know if his parents tried to teach them differently and make him be like the regular humans they wanted to be and only Corazon took those lessons to heart thanks to yeah, no spoilers, someone special to him. Doffy grew up around other celestial dragons and all he knew about life was the very little he saw in Mariejois so he grew up to be a horrible person, but instead of learning a lesson, since he was so little, he just got radicalized (oddly familiar isn't it?) because of all the hate he received, so he hated regular people back.
Doflamingo had all the chances to redeem himself but he never did, he just went full rage. A tragic backstory for a tragic villain, a great villain, but the worst scum alive on equal standing with the Celestial Dragons in Mariejois.

16:29 I don't think Doflamingo's dad knew about that - even if he did know about what the other Celestial Dragons did I don't think he knew how hated the Celestial Dragons are.
We saw how they lived, they're completely cut off from the rest of the world. They've been given free rein to do anything they fancy with no consequences. They genuinely think they're gods. Even if Homing (I think that's the father's name) knew that he's actually human I don't think he knew that the rest of the world genuinely hates the Celestial Dragons because of what they'd done. Most don't, but in Homing's case I think it was more naivety rather than the arrogance of the others (i.e. the Celestial Dragon that came to fishman island to get his slaves back and we heard him think "I thought I was a respected man" or when Charlos said "what is more important, courtesy to me or the life of a mere human", I think they genuinely believe that people bow to them out of respect or reverence and don't know that they only kneel out of fear.
In any case - they didn't do these things. But they are probably the only Celestial Dragons most of the people will meet that don't have the protection of the bodyguards, the knights and the marine admirals, so they're the only ones they could take any revenge against. I can't blame them for wanting revenge after everything they've been through. I can't blame Homing for everything even though his naivety did put them there.
Ah yes the plot is thickening this backstory is one of my favorites in the series

I always feel like the Celestial Dragons set Homing up. There cant be that many places that the CDs directly go down and fuck with, they spend all thier days in Marijoia. Yea, people around the world are going to hate the tribute but there cant be many places that arent Marijois/Shabody where people are directly getting shot or enslaved by the CDs themselves. And after the unbelievable blasphemy of wanting to live as a human, the CDs probably set Homing up in one of the worst places possible, a country they had ravaged personally some time in the past.

Was Homing not hideously fat and ugly (even if he did have that stupid hairstyle) like the rest of the Celestial Dragons because he had a decent personality, or was it because he had something resembling. dream, something to keep him going while the others had always just had everything they'd ever wanted and so had no drive.
