Interesting fact not many people note Back in Punk Hazard, law saved the kids from their acute poisoning with the power of the Ope Ope no Mi, it was also noted by Chopper that he himself doubted if he could have saved them due to how advanced and how much time had passed for them being consuming the poison, unknown to us that was a hint to Laws backstory, after all he himself as a kid, had rid his body of an even deadlier poison with that power It is not confirmed why Law saved them, but I like to believe that he in a sense wanted to be those kids Cora-san, giving them a chance at life from their hopeless situation Also now you know why Law helped Luffy so long ago, he bet on the D. as one himself
It's 20 May, so happy birthday to Conis, the Skypiean chick. Yesterday was 19 May, birthday of Andre, Candre, and John Giant, all of whom were Marines who fought at Marineford. Andre and Candre are twin brothers, and John was the first giant to enlist in the Marines.

The most beautiful thing about one piece that I really like is that it shows you don't have to be blood-related to love someone more than your life. There are so many examples in one piece is crazy. Bellemere and Nami, Hirruluk and Chopper, Ace/Sabo and Luffy, Zeff and Sanji, Jaguar and Robin, Corazon and Law. There are more, but I don't want to spoil it.
Interesting how unlucky the Celestial Dragons are especially in comparison with the D clan.

the moment you hear law's crying just tugs my heart forever and always...i fucking loved cora and law... seeing as how law dedicates a lot of the things he do, his pirate crew and his big ass heart tattoo for example, to cora just goes to show how much he loved him and the gratitude he has for saving him in more ways than one
I like that Doflamingo and Rosinante are sorta a representation of the nature side of nature vs nurture. They went through the exact same stuff as a child but Rosinante was always kinder than Doffy, even before they went their separate ways.
Thw thing is the kid is around Law's age, you could say they're from the same generation

Little recap here: Tsuru (the badass old navy woman) and Garp were already vice-admiral at the moment of Law's backstory and are still vice-admiral in the pre-timeskip present and post-timeskip present. Garp only refused (multiple times) the rank of Admiral.
As far as sad backstories go, the saddest was, is and still will be Baggy eating his devil fruit by mistake and loosing his treasure map. So Sad.
When Cora said I Love you, in the Japanese language he used the most ultimate form of love used only to those you truly love. "Aishiteru"
Cora set Law free and now Luffy will set Law free from Doffy. Cora heart is like that of similar to Luffy. Law's jolly roger is similar to doffy but it is the representation of Cora smiles. Law's tattoos, crew name, and identity revolved around Cora. Law and Robin has the most burtal sad story. Cora's thoughts in how something is compelling Law to stay alive and that saviours kept descending upon Law feels so accurate up until now. despite at times having the worst luck, at desperate times, he always manage to stay alive. once you watch farther ahead in one piece this seems like an interesting thought.
also the one the marines save, the boy was X Drake
7:32 Doflamingo literally said to King RIKU that Dressrosa belonged to the Don Quixote family way before the Riku family govern it. He said it when he controlled RIku during the Massacre Flashback
the reason his cries got louder was because he knew if his voice was heard then corazon was dead

About comparing Robin and Law, we dont know how long has Law been suffering for, but we know Robin was betrayed by every single pirate until she joined the straw hats, so she's suffered for 20 something years until Luffy saved her by asking her if she wanted to live.
Law, well, hes been living for revenge but he made his own crew rather early compared to Robin, so probably for 10ish years.
This was around the time I caught up, and I was DEVASTATED that I had to wait weekly for a new episode to air

This where the parallels between Law and Drake shows. Imagine if Law really was the one who escaped that bird cage, then he'll be the one with the navy now.
You could also see the same parallels on the upbringing of Doffy and Cora-san. One has been took in by Trebol and one was "adopted" by Sengoku.

The thing is Corazon went through the same things that Doffy went through but he still came out as a a kind hearted guy, its just to show you that Doffy is just a pure evil.
