I love this kind of doc... There are nowhere near enough docs about little-known Stone-Age groups and cultures in sub-saharan Africa, South America, Southeast Asia, Oceania, etc...

Iron smelting technology was found earlier than that in sub Saharan Africa. Around 2500 BC in Nigeria and CAR

Noks means they come from the skies, and well known for the long-lasting terracotta, fancy hair styles, peircing eyes and exaggerated lips. A very intricate people; yet highly advanced in their cratmanship of sculpture brass. Very intriguing folks😊

In your description it states that the Nok Civilization thrived between 500 BCE and 200 CE. In Wikipedia the dates listed for the existence of Nok Civilization is 1500 BCE to 500 CE. Do you agree with this larger timeframe for it's existence? Is the Wikepedia data accurate?

No. We once believed that, too, until we researched some scholarly articles that have carried out extensive research using carbon dating to determine the existence of the Nok culture. However, once new facts emerge, we shall publish.

@@HistoryVille So the 500 BCE to 200CE civilizational timeframe is more accurate for now? With more accurate data to follow? Thanks for publishing these very interesting videos on Nigerian History.

@@KolapoOlufemilukman How many years old? The terracotta human head known as the Jemaa Head at the National Musuem of Nigeria is from between 900-200 BC.
