- The last week of October, and the Winter is upon us. Not that it really left...So hiding from the storms I finished this Mushroom Woodland Scene. Enjoy some timelapse painting, and huddle with me by the fire, keeping dry.

Thank you! I've very much enjoyed watching you create magic in this painting. I see motion in the stag, an arrested moment of movement to stare at the viewer. I'm glad you stayed safe in the storm. We did too down here below Dartmoor, although just along the coast from us homes were flooded and some businesses got washed away in the sea surge. Our daughter just moved into her first rented home higher up on the moor and was thankful for her relative safety, until the plumbing failed and flooded her cottage one day while she was out at work. So much water everywhere.
Oh no, that's terrible news. So sad. Hope she gets it fixed.. and the businesses too. Flooding has become a real danger in recent years, and something you really have to consider when moving house these days. But even then, seems it's not that easy. So sorry her home was destroyed. I hope she can get back on her feet soon x
@@TheWitchInTheWoods Thank you. It's okay, she's already on it. She's wanted to get her own place for so long that nothing will deter her now she's there, and it is a lovely little place she's in. I'm thankful that her landlord seems a good sort.

aw, thanks. Not yet... I had thought of selling, or selling cards, prints etc..maybe a little store. But I really don't have anything organised as yet, and haven't done any more than this to be honest.

Can you show us how you made your hooded cloak.
Yes, I would like to. The material was a tad pricey, but I have moth holes in the one I have so I could make another. Basically it's three pieces two on top and one underneath. The cloth is roughly triangular, so it is shaped to fit shoulders, and then triangulate out down to the hem, with as much width as you have cloth for.. Sew those together and add the hood. I drew round a hoody, and pointed the hood back and down.. sew two sides together, it's easier??? or shape on a fold. It really was easy, but I love the idea, so I will try and do that in future maybe.. thanks. x
