A Little Catch Up in a Big Week of Change

  • Just a little catch up throughout what turned out to be a week of big changes here in Britain. Not only did we change Prime Minister, while discussion was heated about policies to help with the crisis of heating our homes this winter, but that was soon forgotten with the sad news that the Queen had died, and that we would soon see a new King on the throne, after waiting in the wings for many years. In some ways, we wondered if that day would ever come.
Change is definitely in the air, maybe brought in by the storms, and it's swinging towards a point of balance and shift.. I've been striving all summer towards certain goals, some of which manifested, and some of which I had to let go of. And so its just time to reflect on nature before it begins to withdraw again

Hi, I just want to say again how much i'm enjoying your homely vlogs. There is something comforting in watching someone prepare for an on coming new season. Autumn is my most favourite season especially the months of September and October. I really enjoyed watching you start to hunker down by making your preserves, gathering wood for your beautiful log fire and doing your yoga. Hats off to you for doing yoga. Its not an easy practice to do. I'd love to do yoga but i'm super unfit and have awful Arthritis in my knees and ankles. I really enjoyed seeing the cats too living their best life in your garden and cosy lounge. Please do another homely vlog soon. Have a great week. x

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. I have now got a full wood shed, thanks to a neighbour's chainsaw, so gratefully receiving the abundance for winter. I have bad arthritis too, in my ankles, it's probably common at our age, but I think strengthening the muscles takes the stress of the bones!..Thanks, hope you are getting all cosy too? xxx

I recognize the witch in the working. Thank you for sharing I absolutely love thunder storms.I understand I turned 60 last January and this year I’ve realized that if I sit even for a half hour I’m very stiff when I get up and I’m walking it out slowly and it’s very odd , I’m trying to accept my season in life I do suffer from osteoarthritis and I find like anything it’s an acceptance for sure but being as healthy as possible entering into this stage of life helps a lot.

yes, I feel like that. Very stiff in the mornings, very hard to get going, and yeah, it really does make you think about your health as you can't do what you could in your twenties and bounce back! I've got a bit sedentary, so walking it our is a good point. x

I'm in a 3 year that is changing to a 4 year at the end of this month on a New Moon. The childish 3 in me has been dreading the end of play and the beginning of pragmatic work, but the season of life is working on me this month and I can already feel the move. I'm allowing for the next few weeks to be a period of mourning loss while slowly becoming more practical, while playing too. I took advantage of my 3 year and let my imagination soar, so lets see what it will manifest.

That's lovely Combining play and pragmatism is a great skill. It does feel like big changes are afoot. Many blessings for all the changes to come.

I am North West and although we had some cracking thunderstorms. We got hailstones as big as golf balls pleating down with sheer force from nowhere. They were scary and definitely dangerous for those caught in them. Thanks great video.

wow that sounds quite insane. Scary! I like a good thunderstorm, even with the fear, it's pretty exciting. Thankfully we have never had hail the size of golf balls!🙏

sorry for all comments but there's also something wrong with my cherry tree, i also grew tomatoes this year and made blackberry crumble

is there? sad :( I think fruit trees often get cankers, it's quite common. I would be really sad to lose it, someone is coming to have a look next week, but when it stops raining I might try to treat it myself. Apparently milk works to kill the bacteria.. I think.. or Copper something solution. I will check up on that. Blackberry crumble sounds pretty tasty.

Always wonderful watching your beautiful videos & I must say that you are extremely admirable! I watch you & think I’m failing in so many areas? You have given me the push to try my hand at jam making though so it’s off to pick some berries. Blessed Be

Aw what a sweet thing to say, though I'm sure you're not failing in anything, especially not as much as anyone else in the world. But when it comes down to it, if Jam gives a sense of satisfaction, then it's an easy job, and well worth the effort. Good luck with your berry hunting. Blessed Be xxx
