Nice catch! I mean obviously an editing issue, but really the camera was just a bit too far to the side. I've seen this movie several times and never caught that, that's a testament to the quality
Haha i never notice till someone pointed it out speaking of movie mistakes ppl say they see w jcb digger in film braveheart just as his wife was getting killed but couldn't see it,, 🤦♂️😂
thank you for the reminding me that the cow scene from twister is and will forever be one of the most iconic scenes in the history of cinema. when sad just see cows flying I guess
You're absolutely right! The US-DVD with DTS had the original soundmix from the LD and was the most awesome DVD at the time. I still own it. Man i loved my first steps with multichannel sound :)
@@mmyers6441 Multichannel sound was an experience right? I remember buying those DTS exclusive DVDs with only the DTS tracks. Jurassic Park’s sound mix was epic too. (the flocking stampede scene)
Those waterspouts were the most polite tornadoes in the movie, first they were playing catch with the cow, and then they played spin the car, but never hurted anyone.
According to Bill they were solid F2's but if a vehicle took a direct hit from an F2 tornado or twins like it did on Twister it wouldn't be spinning it would be up in the air. The F1 tornado earlier in the film was weaker and sucked up Jo's pick up truck
Saw this in the movies back in 1996 when I was in Denver CO. My cousin who was with me at the time felt that this scene with the cow was rather sad. Meanwhile everyone in the auditorium (including me) laughed themselves silly.
Funny scene! In reality if the wind is strong enough to lift a 700 lbs. cow it would be moving much faster and that truck would have been tornado food! 😂
Took my girls to see this at the theater when they were little, the cow scene comes on and everyone is laughing, my youngest daughter stands up and yells its not funny!!!! They then proceeded to laugh at her😂
Funny contrast 🤣 After being stuck in the core of a multi-vortex tornado and surviving, Melissa is petrified with terror, but Bill and Jo be like "WOW! That was fun! Let's do it again!!!" 😂
This movie 🎥🍿 makes me feel old & that feeling brings right back to the cd sound track which I'm actually listening to now at 12:04 Van Halen human-beings & respect the wind by the one & only Eddie 😔Van♒Halen 🎸 Rest in ☮️.
They're big, they're scary, and they can carry cars, cows and even a couple of houses. They can range the entire town of their destruction. Unfortunately, the ladder is coming for you. This is a TORNADO!!! 🌪️
If this movie came out in summer of 2014 they wouldve had the perfect chance to make the frontrunning Wario's Gold Mine play in the background while the cow gets thrown by the tornadoes and flies back and forth in front of the truck, I bet it would have made the scene funnier 😂
I love how those waterspouts sound like shrieking banshees of some kind when they come in striking; whereas all the other ground tornadoes in the movie sound more like monstrous ogres. Considering that this film had the same director for Jurassic Park, it's not too much of a surprise. Nonetheless, chilling.
What I can't stand about this movie is that every single tornado hits them, then immediately dissipates. It would have been so much cooler if the tornadoes plowed over them and kept on going into the distance.
I like how in this movie, Bill Paxton gets the girl. He doesn't get the girl, and gets royally screwed over by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis in True Lies, but then later on here in Twister, he gets that Helen Hunt chic.
I love how after the first cow comes across you look out the back window behind Melissa and there’s a red van just casually driving by lol
They were high-tailing it outa there!
🤣
Chuck Norris’s van, to him just a gentle summer breeze

That’s my favorite movie scene of all time. It’s just perfect. The absurdity of it VS the casualness of JO is just the best.
My to. I love. Twister
R.I.P Bill, you were a genuine top guy, will be missed sorely....
I always laugh when Bill says 'Actually I think that was the same one'. Lol - like it matters!
It mattered to the cow. I don't think they take well to hangtime.
@@leadonsoftlyyeah and when the tornado stopped who knew what could of happened the cow could of drowned
One of my absolute favorite movies, and this is one of my fave scenes. And the poor cow, just mooing, like "help me." LOL

My favorite one-word line by Helen Hunt in this scene, "Cow!" LOL Cracks me up every time!
We got Cows!

I remember the flying cow scene, it was an epic home theatre demo experience (dts 5.1 surround) back in the days of LD and then DVD.

Great movie, what a shame Bill Paxton passed away.
Even though this movie has me petrified of tornadoes & hurricanes I still love this movie

So unrealistic but damn what a fine film
I dunno. After all, tornadoes have picked cows up.
Definitely worthy of its status as a cult film.
I’d absolutely love if they bring this line into the 2024 version.

That truck really was Ram Tough…
Strong enough winds to suspend cows in the midair yet zero affect on the truck. LOL
That would be crazy if that ever happened to anyone in real life. The sister tornados spinning you around.
A tornado that is strong enough to throw cows around yet the truck doesn't even lift off the ground once.
