I have a 2015 q40 3.7 i have a muffler delete and its not raspy and no drone it’s not to much louder but their is a difference I would recommend it
Please don’t ever straight pipe your g, either go with muffler delete or get a proper cat back system.

No fair that the coupes have amazing stock exhaust. To get that sound on a sedan is hard and pricey.

Resonator reduce 10% of sound and noise to inside the car but muffler reduce all sound and restrict air flow=low power on high rpm

What made you go for resonator delete instead of muffler delete
keeping the resonater on and removing just the muffler is the best way to go

Love my vq37 in my q70. Left the resonators on. Deleted the mufflers, put 5inch slash cut 18 inches long tips on. Sounds awesome not raspy. They look cool too.

This seems like a great place to get exhaust work, even offer free inspections. They want an arm and a leg where I live to just remove mufflers.

You guys have to understand the coupe straight pipe sounds different than the sedan straight pipe. ive herd a coupe straight pipe in person and it sounds deeper than the rasp of the sedan. These videos dont do these sounds justice.

First one is straight pipe from the cat back.
Second is a resonator delete, please, don’t delete the resonator, it gets rid of the rasp. Just do a muffler delete.

Lol. The one with muffler delete, that’s some fucking garbage exhaust work, the tips are way off. I wouldn’t settle for that, I’ve had so many shops do that to me and I’ve gone back and got half money back both time and took my cars elsewhere. I don’t pay to have crooked tips that shit don’t sit well with me

stright pipes are the way to go for vqs imo the difference isnt as big on camera as it is irl. the straight pipes just sounds better and feels better

full straight pipe sounds like a bad trumpet. Should have got rid of the muffler and kept the resonator. I did that on my genesis and im gonna do it on both my G37s. Resonator keeps the deep tone without that trumpet sound but makes it loud without the muffler.
