Luv this beautiful natural look on u and the 10 excellent tips u recommend. Counting the days for Jan to appear on your channel again as I see many of your pack feel the same way! Thank u Gemma and as always just luv your humour!
Absolutely brilliant! Couldn’t agree more about correcting flaws with good skincare. I’ve been an avid follower of yours for a couple of years now and my skin has changed dramatically- from large pores with dark pigmentation sun damage , I now have much much smaller pores less brown pigmentation and I can now go makeup free ( except under eye concealer) of course, but that now is un- perceptible . I very rarely wear foundation but do wear a tinted moisturiser like Trinny BFF or my favourite Perricone . I look better, feel better, and I’m more confident- all down to what I’ve learnt from you ! Like others I’d like to hear about your mums skincare as we are the same age! Thank you 😊
I just discovered your channel, and it’s absolutely fantastic! You explain things so well, and it’s so nice to have real life tips. There’s no benefit in watching you tubers who use lighting and filters - it’s never going to look like that in real life!!! Thanks for the great content.
I’m a 25-year-old, esthetician and I love Gemma’s videos. I’ve learned so much on how to perfect my dry, textured skin. Her Glass skin video is my favorite on how to achieve radiant glassy skin✨. I also have under-eye wrinkles of someone in their late 30s and I can’t get away with the “large triangle” concealer trend; her concealer tricks have completely changed my game! 🙌 Thanks Gemma for your videos; really appreciate your work. Happy wolf pack member! 🐺❤️
Me too. The only reason I have to wear foundation is because of hyperpigmentation and have been looking for products to help with it. This info would be invaluable, Gemma.
Gemma did a video awhile back where she used corrector on her mum and it was amazing. Search back through, or if Gemma sees this she may be able to point you in the right direction.
I belong to a group on Facebook of mainly women over the age of 60, many of whom have never worn makeup before. Since I have been wearing makeup for 60 years, I find this incredible! The group was formed in this pandemic, and the person that started it is herself a makeup brand owner. What is amazing to me, and I wish I could say something but politeness stops me, is that many of the women blindly follow her advice, when quite clearly they are not the same skin type, coloring, etc. etc. Her advice is good - no problem there - but so many of the group haven't yet figured out that not every product is for every person, and that skin tone etc. has to be taken into account. I frequently comment on the group page when a question is asked, and ask them to check out Pampered Wolf, as I think this will help!
That’s what I did at the beginning, I actually copied Tati’s routine and spent lots of money, then realized her routine was not for me. We’re about same age, early 40’s, but still her makeup does not work for me. Sadly, makeup is just trial and error. And listening to Pampered Wolf helped a ton too of course!!
Fiona Frazer Because this woman has her own makeup brand, I can’t help but think she is trying to sell products. I watched a skincare video where the total cost of her skincare routine was over $700.😱 I’m glad you are there to share your views!
I learned how to apply foundation properly from you when I first started watching your channel. Literally everyone I have ever seen apply foundation starts by plopping globs of it all over their face. You taught me to put some on your hand and apply sparingly...just what you need. It works so well and looks so much better! Especially on my 56 year old skin. So thank you!!
I've really been focusing on skin care and SPF. This has been the most tremendous impact on my makeup application. Turning 42 this February has really pushed me to focus on now instead of what my skin used to be!
I love that you included the spoolie brush tip for eyebrows. I couldn’t agree more with you on this suggestion. The difference between your eyebrows on camera really comes through.
Hi. Great video 🥰 Could I add: Concealer not always needed either. foundation under your eyes can be enough especially if circles aren’t too dark, foundation can look better on older under eyes as the consistency isn’t as thick as a concealer so does not accentuate lines (& less powder needed to set, so less layers to go creasy). Plus it’s usually gentler and more moisturising. If you do need concealer go easy, tiny dots on only affected area enough. The less product the less creasing (in my humble opinion ☺️). Take care everyone Xxx
I always try to match my lip product to the inside of my lower lip. That is the perfect natural color for me. I sometimes wear other colors, but for a naturally pretty lip color, that's my tip. I loved your tips. Now.......go have an ice bath!❤
Actually think this is a good idea, especially when you think about the inside of the lip is the first place to wear off (even with long wearing liquid lipsticks).
That is absolutely the best way to do it. Often I see these young girls on UA-cam wearing a very pale frosted lipstick, then they open their mouths and you can see the inside of their mouths is a darker color and it really is not very appealing at all to see dark mucosa and gingival tissue, inside, then whitish lips..outside.
The last tip (carrying a sponge with you) is so good. The times when this would have "saved the day" are a few too many, 🙈. Yep, I'll remember this one. The one makeup gaffe I see a lot on YT is when there is a need to conceal a blemish on the cheek etc. The YT'r will proceed to "try" to conceal the offending blemish with the same lighter shade that they used on the undereyes. Obviously, the blemish just becomes highlighted! I'm always left flummoxed by this. Don't they realise that using a concealer shade that matches their foundation works brilliantly? Anyhooo, I loved this vid, again as always, information galore. Love it, love it, love it. Thanks Gemma, 😊💗😊💗😊
Chrissy Moss So true! I’m guilty of this too because I don’t want to buy two of an expensive concealer if I can avoid it. My solution to this has been to get concealer specifically for blemishes but I usually hate them. I’ll figure it out eventually...
@@christinagipperich2780 I honestly just use the cheapest one that I can (so long as it drys down fairly quickly). Hope you find something perfect for you soon, xxx
I lost eyebrow definition, lip definition and color and oh yeah my eyebrows are turning gray (it’s ok I have a full head of gray hair). So I went and had permanent make-up done. It is called “barely there”. It’s just enough pigment put back in my lips , brow line and eyeliner to revive the lost definition. So, in my case the less is more enhances my “enhancements”. The combination is perfect! Thank you for the tweaks, love 💕 knowing there are different ways to have things work for mature skin!
Absolutely love these videos Gemma, you really do help me to understand my skin and makeup so much better and for that I thank you as to be honest throughout my 30s I just stopped wearing makeup, with 3 young children I couldn’t see the point In wearing any and stopped giving myself the time to enjoy wearing it. I’m now 47 and my youngest is 20 and she has encouraged me to be more adventurous and enjoy the skin your in, she also introduced me to UA-cam and that’s were I found you, Your wonderful and have helped me understand makeup again, so thank you ❤️ and P.S the wolf pack are wonderful xxx

What a good sport Wes is. Thank you for this video. One reason I watch your videos is I know you understand that just because we are no longer 20 years old does not mean we don't want to use makeup and look as good as possible. It's hot? Run and check the kitchen!
Excellent as always Gemma 💓 Especially appreciate the less is more approach and taking care of your skin so you don’t feel like you need to wear makeup all the time. Very freeing.
The makeup sponge is such a great idea for midday touch ups. Here all this time I’ve just powdered over the shine around lunchtime and it never looks quite right. I will try the sponge first and then powder if needed! Thanks Gemma!
Thank you for all these suggestions and recommendations. Your mum's skin looks beautiful and I have to say that yours does too. Her and you undereyes are so much lighter and like the rest of your skins. I would agree that you have certainly made great changes and helped your skins become beautiful as you have aged (only slightly, you are still so young!).
Totally agree, good and consistent skincare is really important. Less is definitely more when applying makeup to mature skin. Love your videos, believable and entertaining. Anne👍😄

Can you please do this on your Mom? Y have hyperpigmentation and older than you! On another matter it will be the never forget memory for your kids, Dad's pancakes. Priceless. You are so nice!! Thank you for sharing that with us. Love it.
Hi Gemma! I found your channel through Stephanie Marie, and I have quickly discovered how much I love your content! You are so knowledgeable, but you make it so approachable and easy to understand. Thank you! I am a thrilled new subscriber, who has spent the afternoon enjoying your videos. Have a wonderful day, and again, many thanks.
Can you make a video about brushes? I am looking that obviously they are not the same but your blush brush looks like a wayne goss. Makes a difference on make-up.
Thank you so much for saying not to smile while applying blush. Nothing drives me crazier than seeing UA-camrs say to smile & blush. It makes the blush look weird! Thank for the video!!
Hiya. Have you ever done a video breaking down The Ordinary? It would be useful to break it down further for different age groups too. I would like to use it but I have no idea where to start taking in to consideration skin type and age. It’s so overwhelming that this is probably a series you could do!
Lovely tips, Gemma! Absolutely agree about the first tip. I used to cover up with a foundation but now during lockdown I've upped my skincare to another level and don't need to worry about foundation anymore.🥰🥰♥️👍
I am close to your mother 's age and have a great deal of hyperpigment, did your mom do clinical procedures to help hers, topical products, or both? Could you be specific about what she did?
Love this video. I have been adjusting my skin care and make-up since my old ways no longer work for my aging skin. Definitely less piled onto the face is better and too much powder magnifies imperfections. I also had to stop applying eyeliner below the lower lash line since it won't stay put without powder. TFS.
Hey! I love your videos!!! I have pigmentation and am in my early 30s! Please tell me what your mum used to improve hers!? I’ve been struggling to find something that works!
I agree I don't cleanse my face in the morning, only at night to get my spf off and I use la Roche Posay cleansing bar with shea butter, I don't use expensive skin care either no perfume in my skin care is the best for me it's tretinoin at night moisturiser eucerin and spf 50 everyday, no matter the weather, no serums, no complicated routines or scrubbing my face that's a big no no, everyone comments about my skin, I use one device the Nira skin laser at home for under my eye area that's it 🙏
It’s not good to be hot. I live in south Texas and I think it’s gonna be close to 100 F which is hot. You are right about to much foundation looking cakey which the sponge does help sometimes. Thanks 😊
I adore coming for a Gemma fix and some great ideas. I am 47 and I definately have noticed that I can’t do my makeup like I used to (and makeup itself is very different to what it used to be..... ie: highlighters, bronzers, brow products, setting sprays and the sheer volume of stuff on the market). I have always gone with less is more but I found out the hard way about concealer. Now I use like three dots and that’s more than enough... my face won’t look perfect from every angle as the darkness will still show through when I look directly down but I have learned there is no magic fix for that. I have been following your skincare tutorials and now have a really great regime going and my skin has NEVER looked better (OMG you were so right about the NIOD eye treatment). Thank you for bringing makeup tips to us more mature folks... I learn something new every time I come on here and just watching a tutorial makes my day. Thanks again and hope you guys are doing ok over there. Much love from Australia
Pampered Wolf I wish I could’ve shown you before and afters... seriously amazing results. Thank you for all the hard work you put into research and sharing your knowledge. I have culled so many of my UA-cam channels as it was either not my demographic or it was makeup looks that I don’t and won’t wear. I learn so much from you and I just wish I had started this 10 years ago. Stay safe over there... xxx
Ellie Humphris I’m in the same boat. I trained in a beauty environment so it was all ‘make yourself feel good with a pamper and fragrance’ rather than make your skin healthier and look amazing. I’ve had to teach myself clinical skincare and watch seminar after seminar to update myself on good skin methods. Xxx
Pampered Wolf you are doing an amazing job and it must be so time consuming getting us all the information. It honestly is so appreciated. My skin thanks you
My question is..... how should I apply “cream “blush ( lipstick)? I am learning so much and appreciate your loving instruction! Somehow I “ hear you”, as strange as it seems. You are a great communicator 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️💝💝💝
Thank you so much. Very helpful. I have had the same issue. Trying to apply my makeup like I did in my 20s. I have dry skin now when I used to have very oily skin. Helpful tips. Your makeup looks natural and beautiful. 👍🏻
That blending sponge looks huge....I love it! What one is it please? Loved all of these tips...thank you! Favourite was the foundation & blush tips...💗🎉👍🏻⭐️
I am going to try using less foundation the next time. Since I started watching your channel my skin is a lot healthier and less pigmented, so I think I can maybe pull off less foundation. My problem is I have very prominent dark circles, and have to figure out how to cover those, while blending into a face with less foundation. Thanks for the tips!
Thank you soooo much for these tips. Today I used 1/4 of the amount of my foundation and I saw exactly what you were saying! Amazing effect! THANK YOU!!
You are so beautiful! And that makeup is spot on. Blush is always difficult, I think. I’m very pale and don’t want lo get the clownlook but still add colour, I’m practising and your videos are a great help!
Good tips. Your lips are looking great. Evening your top lip line balances your whole face beautifully. I’ve been trying to buy the NYX eyebrow pencil for months. My first choice was not the right color, second time they sent me the wrong color and now I’m in a queue for returns. I’m not giving up because your brows always look so natural.
Now that was a good video indeed. Answered some of my personal tweaking questions right here. Thanks Gemma. Have a great weekend! It’s very hot here in NC US. SHEWWEE.
I do the powder/setting spray before primer/foundation technique... completely eliminates the need for powder on top of my foundation. My skin stays glowing not oily all day 😉
Great tutorial and tips. Thank you 😊. I’ve tried various products for age spots but nothing has worked. I would like to get your opinion on this please.
Your video is full of common sense and I appreciate the great tips. Thank you! I will be looking for the video on how to get rid of hyperpigmentation. Newly subbed .
As an old bird I didn’t think there’d be any new tips I didn’t already know, how wrong was I. Some really, really useful advice here that I can’t wait to try. Thank you very much Gemma NB. Hope hubbie didn’t poison the kids😂
Great tips Gem! I have to admit I do use a shade darker in my it cosmetics cc cream as I like being a bit darker but im going to try to stop using as much product! Beauty blender and blush tips were great for me! 👍🏼👍🏼

Be sure to rewatch her Tip # 10.

Nice tips, thank you. Appreciated the actual demonstration along w/ the explanation.
Love this video. I have been adjusting my skin care and make-up since my old ways no longer work for my aging skin. Definitely less piled onto the face is better and too much powder magnifies imperfections. I also had to stop applying eyeliner below the lower lash line since it won't stay put without powder. TFS.
Great Advice, ty❤️
Hey! I love your videos!!! I have pigmentation and am in my early 30s! Please tell me what your mum used to improve hers!? I’ve been struggling to find something that works!
Same here!!
A video is coming soon I promise xxx
Wonderful tips! You look fantastic! 💖
I agree I don't cleanse my face in the morning, only at night to get my spf off and I use la Roche Posay cleansing bar with shea butter, I don't use expensive skin care either no perfume in my skin care is the best for me it's tretinoin at night moisturiser eucerin and spf 50 everyday, no matter the weather, no serums, no complicated routines or scrubbing my face that's a big no no, everyone comments about my skin, I use one device the Nira skin laser at home for under my eye area that's it 🙏
Thanks so much, Gemma, for these wonderful tips and tricks. They are going to make my makeup application so much better!
It’s not good to be hot. I live in south Texas and I think it’s gonna be close to 100 F which is hot. You are right about to much foundation looking cakey which the sponge does help sometimes. Thanks 😊
Great tips Gemma. I always pick up such helpful info from your videos. Thank you.
Love watching you from North Carolina!
I'm watching from NC too!
Me, too! 💚
So glad you are liking the videos Ellie. I always look forward to your comments xxx
It's a brush junkie sponge xxx
Pampered Wolf Thank you!! 💃🏻⭐️🎉
Thank you, very good tip again.I do it in my weekend.Have a very Nice weekend.👍🥰
Thank you soooo much for these tips. Today I used 1/4 of the amount of my foundation and I saw exactly what you were saying! Amazing effect! THANK YOU!!
I just love to hear you talk!😍 I love your skincare tips as well!
You are so beautiful! And that makeup is spot on. Blush is always difficult, I think. I’m very pale and don’t want lo get the clownlook but still add colour, I’m practising and your videos are a great help!
Thanks so much for all the tips! Very well thought out and presented!
Just subscribed! I love your videos! I'm gna binge watch all your other one's. 😁♥️
Loved this video since I trust your valuable advice. Less is more for sure. Thank you
Would you please do a video on your eyes in this video, they look beautiful and I would love to recreate this look. Thank you.
I'm not wearing anything on my eyes Jo xxx
Wow, your eyelids look amazing 😁 thank you for your reply and for all your informative videos xx

Your videos are just SO helpful, Gemma. Thanks for another great one. I’ll start carrying my make-up sponge with me from now on!
Now there's something you didn't list Gemma where did you get that huge fabulous Beauty Blender from??
It's a brush junkie sponge xxx
Now that was a good video indeed. Answered some of my personal tweaking questions right here. Thanks Gemma. Have a great weekend! It’s very hot here in NC US. SHEWWEE.
Too hot!
I do the powder/setting spray before primer/foundation technique... completely eliminates the need for powder on top of my foundation. My skin stays glowing not oily all day 😉
Great video - can you do one that talks about different products for skin problems such as pigmentation ?
Video coming soon xxx
This is a great video with great tips 🙏 my make up looks so much nicer less is so much better😉thank you😍
These are great tips and you are an excellent educator.💕
Great tutorial and tips. Thank you 😊. I’ve tried various products for age spots but nothing has worked. I would like to get your opinion on this please.

NB. Hope hubbie didn’t poison the kids😂
Great video Gemma. Thanks!!
Really helpful, especially on foundation application.
Great tips Gem! I have to admit I do use a shade darker in my it cosmetics cc cream as I like being a bit darker but im going to try to stop using as much product! Beauty blender and blush tips were great for me! 👍🏼👍🏼
I'm excited to watch today!! In this lockdown I wait for these uploads!! Lol!!
