Dancing mad holds the title for the longest video game final boss theme but One winged Angel holds the for the most Iconic final boss theme in rpg so yeah there both good tracks but I'm gonna go with kefka here because I've heard One winged angel as much as cloud did so I'm fucking tired of it plus when will we have a FF6 remake
This is how you finish a game. Lvl 60 and not ready for this fight. Also: I'm not saying other FF games don't have better Final Boss music, I'm saying that when Zemus transformed for the first time and this started playing, the hair all over my body spiked like crazy.
The DS version was surprisingly bland and not very pumping, it was like "oh yeaaaaah, toot toooot my lil trumpet with tiny drumy drum", where as this is just *METAL*
@@TenebrisGladius I knew one of those "Original is best" losers like you would show up eventually, lmao. Even if it's 6 years late. No, there's nothing wrong with admitting a different version is better. Get off your high horse. Thi version punches HARDER due to the emphasis on percussion. You saying it lacks shows what a moron you are.
I miss the days when final bosses were like this. Now granted in terms of development Zeromus was only seen at the end of the game, but somehow in this case it works. When this music kicks in and that horrible grotesque form appears in front of you, that's all you need. Time to stop this evil forever, that's what a true final boss should be.
When it makes you go "I'm doing the universe a favour by killing you." you know that you are before a memorable bossfight. And when he uses Big Bang is when you feel like you are fighting a force of nature..
EXACTLY. Without saying too much, there's a good bet this tune will appear in the FF14 post-Endwalker story. If so, I hope Soken and company make more use of that intro in their eventual banger of an arrangement. :)
No kidding when I beat ffiv on DS it went down to the wire. Everyone was knocked out... except for Kain. He survives at 1 HP. Jumps. Lands the final blow. Good god.
One of my favorite parts from TFA was when I got the chamber where you fought Zemus the first time and the last crystal broke right in front of you and this started playing...I was like "OOOoooo SHIT!" Had to fight Zeromus with just Golbez and Fusoya (though thankfully he did not spam Big Bang nearly as much)
The overuse of OWA kinda placed it second overtime. But by itself yeah, I guess. The thing is Zeromus' theme really makes it feel like the situation is desperate. OWA is unsettling and describes how powerful Sephiroth currently is, but it lacks the thrill this theme has.
Argh, they ruined the bass! I like what they did at :57, but it doesn't have enough depth for me elsewhere. Way too clipped. Still, it's only nitpicking; this is one of the greatest pieces of video game music ever composed, hands down. I'm not even limiting it to boss themes.
Everyone debating Dancing Mad v One Winged Angel are sleeping on this tune.

King Titania wants a piece
Reading this on SNES version too. I agree

The GBA version is the best version of the song since it emphasizes the percussion instruments the best
The DS version was surprisingly bland and not very pumping, it was like "oh yeaaaaah, toot toooot my lil trumpet with tiny drumy drum", where as this is just *METAL*
Same with The Dreadful Fight, nothin gets it as heavy as the GBA for them
Snes version much superior - GBA's sound tech sucks, lacks too much of the original punch.

Yep you're a child alright. Everyone's being calm and giving good arguments and you're just going off lmao.

Damn right.
When it makes you go "I'm doing the universe a favour by killing you." you know that you are before a memorable bossfight. And when he uses Big Bang is when you feel like you are fighting a force of nature..
Even if Zemus/Zeromus are kinda shoehorned, this fight is impactful enough.
This game was released the year I was born, and has been part of my life since I was around 10.
It's still so amazing!
The remix for patch 6.5 in FFXIV is SO GOOD
0:08-0:41 I feel like this specific chunk of the intro should’ve been part of the song when it loops again and again.

It always feels weird listening to any version other than the GBA because the tempo is noticeably slower.
no wonder kayn is on the main cover he is practically the main star in this fight

Much better music (and quality) than many other GBA games!
Pixel remake is a good version but this is still my fav. The fact the song is sped up makes fight more epic

I finally found it! this is in the new Cecil trailer for Dissidia
my fav bc this gives you the hopelessness and despair that the boss let you feel

I play this when a super hard assignment is about to be completed because it makes me finish it faster
MAN THAT INTRO IS SSSSSSSSSSSSSICK !
I had never been afraid of pixels in my screen. And then Zemus transformed, and I froze for a solid 2 seconds before remembering I could fight back.
Waaaaay better than the SNES version

one thing i never understood was the title kain was an important character but was he the main point of the game?
Kain's importance as a character is revealed in After Years.
@RedMage583 Syldra wasn’t the logo of V, the logo was a Wind Drake. We see a couple of them throughout the game.

I like snes version of this song more but this one is good either
If it weren't for the crusty base quality this version would sound a lot better
@BlanFan and so is Yasunori Mitsuda and Kenji Ito
Based on Chrono Cross's OST I'd say Mitsuda is superior to Uematsu.
