One thing classic Final Fantasy never, ever failed at was giving you spectacular, worthy, climactic end bosses. As awesome as four-stage Kefka is, I still think Zeromus is the best they ever got.
me too actually. On FFVII, i also tended to get the ending of the Supernova animation in the second part of the bridge of the song. It always felt right.
Also if you are going to use Cure when your HP of your party is only a few hundred below your max you should use Cure 2 or Cure 3. Saves MP. Only use Cure 4 after big bang.
Love how Zemus turned into an evil looking Sesame Street monster after he was defeated the first time. And I always thought the big blue orbs on his final form were his eyes. To this day I have no clue what he is supposed to be. Something only those who live on the moon know I guess.

The original snes copy will forever have its home in my heart, the part when everyone on earth is reviving and healing the party to fight zeromus always makes me shed a tear.
I think this is the first game I've ever played that shows characters chanting to cast magic. I loved it with Rosa--and then the casting animation looks like she's asking for healing. Actually I loved everything with Rosa, period.
I could be wrong, but I suspect Big Bang deals more damage the more Zeromus uses it, or perhaps the less HP he has. To me the second is the killer, the third is brutal.
Loved this game, but one major flaw in it. When you have Rydia the very first time (before you lose her and then she comes back transformed older later), if you level her lots of times, you can actually acquire Nuke spell. But if you do that, when you get her the second time, and shes more mature, she has forgotten the Nuke spell you earned for her previously by leveling. OK, maybe not a major flaw in the game, but was sad to me!
thats because if cecil and co isnt at said level like when u got her to learn nuke before she returns later she will get the average level of your allies.
I beat the gameboy version and it was amazing. Working my way through the mobile 3D version right now. But I think that the music sound better in this version.
Sorry I’m so late. It’s not just a randomizer thing, but relative agility is calculated at the start of the battle, and can’t be changed after that, so things like Fast or switching to or from a weapon with an agility stat change doesn’t affect you once the battle starts.
The trick is to not use any magic against him, else he counter-attacks to most of it. With just regular attacks, throwing weapons and jumping, all he does is Big Bang, Black Hole and eventually the rarely-working Meteo.
Nah, there was nothing else to fix the 15 FPS lock on battle so I kinda got used to it. the only way people did it was to use Cheat Engine to fast forward which imo wasn't worth.

FF2 SNES US version is very much easier than the original game. PS1 i think emulates more what FF4 was meant to be about

The Zeromus boss theme is one of my favorite songs of all final fantasy games. Brings back memories of playing this game.
