People call me nuts when I say this. But I am 44 and have been watching basketball my whole life. Good memory back to mid 90s. There were a few years in Minnesota where to this day, Ricky Rubio was the best passer I have ever seen. High degree of difficulty, creativity, and created shots has opposed to just hitting a wide open man. He was sick...and the he just kind of fell off the cliff. Watching him later in his career...he just lost his zest for playing.

@sidra_games4551 He was very exciting. He definitely made some of the most difficult passes I've ever seen. As he got older I think he realized he didn't need to be flashy to get his 8-9 assists a game.

My current boss had 2 freak outs over me having a side hustle selling vintage Levi and trading cards. The other one was from hearing me minimize the value of work, because with my side hustle and VA disablity, work is just something that gets me out of the house and not fall back into a endless despair of social anxiety.

Second, he is one of the best passing point guards to play in the last 20 years. His passing is elite. He is also a decent-good on-ball defender and a very good help defender for a guard. If Rubio was able to develop a jump shop at some point in his career and shoot league average, he would have been a fringe all star.
