This is better than anything Blur or Oasis did but they didn't play the press game as well as those bands did. All 4 members are multi instrumentalists as well and brilliant from such a young age. Should have been far bigger than they were.
Same here. I got nothing against Blur or Oasis, actually I like many songs they made. But, for me, Supergrass is on another level. Such an amazing diversity in songwriting, from harmonious, almost McCarntney-like pop songs, to pure chaos and devastation. One of my top10 favorite bands of all time. I saw them live once, and Gaz was amazing, playing simply everything on stage. Quite impressive.
I think that section at 1:55 is filmed down the side alley next to The Astoria in London where I first saw them play live.....it`s where you had to queue before gigs there......the Astoria and that whole block is now demolished to make way for the damn Crossrail thing.
Are you Odin in this one? Jokes aside, best band ever. I was 15 when you launch I Should Coco and it said Ben W on the wall on the back. I was chuffed.
Seems forever I've been looking for a different performance of this song that was played on, what I've always thought was likely too have been Conan but, unless they returned and played the show again, but this time being only Gaz and Mick, during Life on Other Planets promotional duties/tours (doubtful) and played an acoustic version of Rush Hour Soul, it was NOT Conan. I'm in the States so it would have he been something like Letterman or whomever was on after the Conan O'Brien Show, as it CERTAINLY wouldn't have been on Gay Leno. Anyway, hopefully some kind soul out there can make my day some far off, random time from now with the answer...and preferably doing so much sooner than later
It had to be Last Call with Carson Daly on which they appeared February 20, 2003 right after Conan. It's so funny because in early 2020 I came here looking for that exact performance too! I saw it around 2 AM that night way back when I was a teenager but didn't have an idea who they were and I never looked them up. All these years later I still remember the lyrics and after a little trial & error I found them again. Sadly the performance doesn't seem to be around anywhere on the internet. 😑
@@OnlyJosephSanchez Well then, Mr. Sanchez, to you I must say job well done, sir, well done indeed! Yes, although we still do not have the video itself, I am very glad to read your comment man as it validates what I have mentioned in quite a few comments sections for various uploads of random performances of the song. Your comment here is, if I am remembering things right, and I think I am, the first reply to any of my previous comments from someone claiming to have actually witnessed the same performance late at night/early in the AM those sooo many years ago. IF, and ONLY IF, you also can tell me the performance featured ONLY JUST Gaz and Mick playing acoustic guitars. If you remember it JUST like that then I will 100% believe that to be the correct everything I was looking for and wanting to know. Thanks for the comment man, I really appreciate it. It was just one of those things that has plagued my faulty brain memory banks for the vastly vast majority of time which passed between February 20, 2003 and today, October 14, 2021
@@mariosanchez8236 Well... I just did another search and really nothing comes up. It was just too long ago when the internet was young and his show wasn't popular enough I guess. It was from Season 2, Episode 19. When you mentioned it my memory did seem to recall just 2 people playing in a small setting, but, you know I wish I had the proof. You're probably right though because I do remember the performance was 100% acoustic so it would make sense. 😀
This band is just so versatile it's jaw dropping to see this diverse repertoire. they play everything and every style so well. Just an amazing band.

Mate, it's called an opinion...
Maybe not all time, but underrated yes.
Favourite from my top of supergrass songs! LONG LIVE Supergrasss!!
I like to think that the people in this video had no clue that a bum Gaz was going to mess with them, lol. Their annoyance is so genuine.
I just can't stop loving them.
Reminds me of Crosstown Traffic.
I’ve loved this since I was very young, every time I listen to it, it triggers an amazing feeling. Something I feel inside as the song says.
