Here are the step you need to add for the sound: 1, OSC B - +2 octaves 2, FxFilter Type - PHS 24+, modulate Cutoff with LFO1: +21 3, EQ dot1 at 1450 HZ, modulate FREQ with LFO1: -18 4, Push up COMP wet to 100% and pull back Tresh to -32,7dB 5, Filter Reso down to 4% 6, Finetune it to your taste! 🙂
@Letssynthesize i don't know why so many people in the comments are giving you grief over this sound! took me a while to dial in it and make it sound close to your sound, but i managed to without too much hassle. Adding a Melda Production MVocoder after it takes the sounds to Billain levels!

Very good tutorial if you want to improve your sounddesign! This preset is a also great template: just play with the lfo-shape and wavetables, and you can make your own resonant mids superfast! As a suggestion for a next tutorial: maybe some inward, hanzo & randie mid/basses? Check their tune Spacefunk... amazing sounddesign and mixdown! At first I could not believe that all this stuff was done with Serum only (basically). You are a pro, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us! And it's especially useful that you actually explain WHY you do this and that to the sound, and not just dial-in your pre-made presets (like most of "tutorial" channels do).

I promise you arnt doing it right if you arnt getting the sound. I read all the comments seeing people were not having luck with it, I tried it myself and took the time to focus on every single knob and LFO dot. Copied it all as close as I possibly could and I got the sound just fine. One good thing to note is if you have the wavetables octaves the same (A0 , B+2) you will have to play your midi at a super low octave. Otherwise it will sound like trash lol. *ALSO the preset itself will not be that loud to begin with, but just copy his compressor settings and it will be nice and loud.* I did turn osc b down because it was giving weird overtones while it was up, you can try it for yourself. :P Looking foward to more videos like this one! i don't know what it is, but i've followed everything that you done, i even added the stuff that you missed but put in the comments section and it sounds nothing like what your getting. Mine sound is all grainy and thin, not even close to the sound your getting its something completely different for what ever reason.
LOL it does seem to be bud, I've sat here 3 or 4 times in a row trying but just cant seem too. if you do manage to recreate the sound, would you either do a new tutorial on it or if not would you mind saving the preset and sending it across so i can reverse engineer it. thanks keep up the good work bud your vids are helpful
Make sure the compressor is all the way up, I got it to sound very similar but not spot on, wish there was a patch download link to get the exact parameters
this tutorial had a lot of potential but it falls way short, you missed a lot of steps in your "tutorial" and even following step-by-step instructions you still don't get anywhere near the sound that you got in this video... very disappointed

For some reason i got very undistorted and "clean" sound and i have followed everything from this video. Is there anything else? There has to be.
Have you definitely clicked Multi-band on the compressor inside serum? That could be it.

yeah LFO 1 is modifying 12 things and after going through your video mine only has 9. I think you def forgot to cover some aspects of this patch.
