Nice... I have to call you guys when I get back to the U.S., to run the details... Keep the good works. Just amazing what you are able to accomplish...
What kind of wheel adaptor did you use for your 8 lug to 6 lug? I've been wanting to get some for my 3/4 ton duramax for a set of wheels I had on my 03 chevy that I sold. Thanks in advanced.
what adapters are you using to convert the 8 lug hub to 6 lug? also what size are they? the only ones i can find are two inch that would stick out too far for my liking
Regina Chandler Yes you can have 4WD / 4x4 AutoTrack or 2WD no you can not retain AWD as the transfer-case can not properly distribute the 65/35 power split rear to front on power levels in the 750-1400 FTLB range
what is special about LBZ? Also, 25 mpg! Awesome. Highway with our 2007 Suburban LTZ 5.3 4X4 can barely get 16.5 MPG doing 72~74 mph... Would love a duraburb... just time and $$$ is all haha
16.5 is pretty good for a gasser There isn't anything special about the LBZ, its the twin sister to the LMM just no DPF, People just ask about it all the time and it is a trusted drivetrain I had available for our family
Just curious what kind of fuel mileage you're getting having the Duramax in the Yukon. I have a feeling it's probably not that much better then having the 6.2 LS series motor in there.
Its 25-30% better. My wife typically avg's 16.5-16.7 city and we see 24-25 hyw, before it was 13/18 on the 6.2 The big benefit is having 120% more power, with 1044 FTLB over the 6.2's 400 the Denali now pulls like a Z06 and blows the rear wheels off through 1st. 2nd. and hooks half way through 3rd. 0-60 is now a mere 5.5 seconds away :-) Its our credo "You can have your cake and eat it too, you just need to bake the right kind of cake"
They are the different designation and designs of the Duramax as it continues to be adapted and improved for the ever changing emission requirements, there is a wealth of info on Wikipedia.
BEAUTIFUL!

Thanks, talk to you soon

Can you go backwards with the engines...LML or LMM in the 03-06 body style?
Do you guys offer any packages higher than 500 hp?

We have them built for us directly, I don't think they exist outside of that
They are 400.00 per set of 2

Thats how thick ours are, the 2500 rear diff is 3" narrower than the 1500 so it makes up the difference
Can the head unit that you put in control the rear factory DVD player? If not, is there a workaround for that problem?
Yep its all tied in
I see that this is a 2WD conversion. Can you maintain the AWD or convert to a 3/4 ton 4WD platform?
Regina Chandler Yes you can have 4WD / 4x4 AutoTrack or 2WD no you can not retain AWD as the transfer-case can not properly distribute the 65/35 power split rear to front on power levels in the 750-1400 FTLB range
@DuraBurbinc what kinda gas mileage was it getting before the swap
but before the swap it ran 15.7 in the qt mi
now it runs 13.38 @ 109 :-D

Can u guys put a duramax and allison in a 2013 silverado 1500?
Yes but you have to remember if you have state emission inspections it will not pass as its a light duty vehicle with a heavy duty drivetrain
Could this be done to a 1996 Tahoe?
Chris Hairston Yes but we don't build SUV's older than 2003
Gotta love a diesel! I sure do! Lol!
Could this be done with a 2005 Yukon Denali?
yes
