Surprisingly short stroke this engine has. At least that's what it sounds like when it idles. I'm also impressed by sound insulation. Awesome this Yukon Denali. Thank you for this video.

Massive improvement over the 2020 model. More sturdy and utilitarian but upscale at the same time, which is what GMC Denali is all about
It is basically a cheaper Escalade.
A cheaper version of this would probably be the Tahoe/Suburban
One of the most practical ones out there

I was lucky enough to put a couple miles on one of these. Engine and transmission is super smooth as expected. I was most surprised how quiet the interior is, you forget it is a diesel engine.

I have this size diesel (3.0L inline 6) in a car with twin turbos BMW 335D. it's tuned and puts down 364whp/600lb torque. It's so much torque it's almost silly in a small car but it's a blast.
Pretty sad there’s no more column shifter is but this really shows that when they got rid of the column shifter they’re letting go of the past.

I would get this car over the Chevrolet Tahoe this one just is more interesting for me
I like it's more luxurious than my Tahoe. Witbout the technology the Escalade has. Sweet spot for me. Gimme analogue over digital any day.
But the Tahoe is cheaper......

The X7 has a longer wheelbase, 122" vs 120". Yukon is slightly longer at 210" vs 202" and slightly taller at 75" vs 71". There's less than 5% difference in metrics between the two.

Still trying to understand the logic and popularity of this vehicle. Hard to park and maneuver. Terrible on gas. A lot of money to spend on a GM. I never see them loaded with people or towing. So it can't be that.
This diesel is very efficient . Of course gasoline V8 versions take much more fuel.
