There are switches to the shutdown command and it can be used from the command prompt. I have had good luck getting to my BIOS (UEFI) setup that way. On modern computers it can seem tricky to do it so knowing the command is really helpful. it is shutdown /r /o. When you enter this command it will power down but you can power it on and it will go into the UEFI or BIOS. It does it once and you need to use the command again to do it again so don't worry about it automatically starting to the BIOS every time unless you did something weird. I say it helps because on a lot of computers these days you have to be lightning fast to hit the key at the right moment because it just goes straight into Windows if you are not fast enough. The problem with that is some people might aggressively strike the key and I imagine these are the ones who are always needing to repair their computer. Just be gentle with it, these are not meant for you to take your frustration out on!! That is just going to cost you a lot of money sooner or later for a new computer assuming you are not tired of them and don't want anything to do with them any more. These days it is hard not to use one for something. You need a way to check your bank account or maybe order something or pay a bill. It does make it a lot easier.
I had this problem even after use the codes I shut down and every time I had to input them codes again that's the issue how to fix i don't know am not a pc tech type person

Hi I have recently changed my harddrive and made the old into external. All my data is in there. Please help me unlock it without the key. The recovery key is lost and also the Hotmail account I had used to login is deleted long time back. Please help.
all mine does is just keeps sitting there and loading or goes to a black screen. i can't even reinstall windows cuz it just sits there and loads. any help??
If you have tried all suggested solutions on the video and you are unable to find BitLocker key, then then only solution for you is formatting. The following video can help you to find the key: ua-cam.com/video/unVhTnepR2Q/v-deo.html
@@ValiumMediaTech Thanks for the reply. I eventually formatted. Searched for the solution for days. It's very stupid of microsoft to have such a feature automatically activate and mainly trigger on a windows update. I randomly updated windows and it bitlocked. And my MS account being my college account, that was deleted, so no way i could get keys.
@@anthonyperez2467 so my wife updated our cloud storage for more memory and then the website worked and I was able to get the bit locker key I have no idea if it’s related or not but that’s how it went down
Even if there is no BIOS similar to yours, the configuration naming should be the same or similar to what illustrated on the video, but you have to know how to access that configuration.
this is also a heap of shit because it assumes you are able to modify the bios settings (I cannot in my case because they are locked by a "supervisor password")
It seems that you are trying to access someone's computer rather than yours, because you do not have the BitLocker Recovery Key or even the BIOS password.
You are a god sent! You have saved my data like a god. Thank you so much! Truly, miraculous. Thanks a lot. I seriously can't thank you enough. I really wish a great life for you! God bless you! This guys UA-cam video is bs BitLocker is very secure you can’t reset your pc or access restore points etc. BitLocker blocks you from doing that you’ll have to decrypt it without any password or recovery key or any authorised method you basically have to hack your own system 😂
