Don’t feel like you have to please anyone Paul, we love your channel because of you being you. Don’t change it
for myself I have really enjoyed this change. it gets a bit monotonous watching folk walk somewhere (rain or shine) pitch a tent cook a meal get up make coffee and go back. So this has been a breath of fresh air. Thanks Paul, I am glad that is has put a bit of a spring in your step too.
Didn't realise Jo was/is so talented, excellent artwork. This series of yours has been a brilliant idea...... I didn't think much of it at the start to be fair, but after about a week I saw the real value and really got into it. This sector of UA-cam does get a bit monotonous, after all, in a nutshell, guy packs bag, guy walks with bag, up hill/mountain, sleeps in tent for the night, walks back. I take my hat off to all of you creators for trying to find variations on the theme to keep it interesting. I'd be proud as punch if I was you Paul, it's been a great series........ Jo too needs thanking. ATB
Mrs messner got skills!
I really want to thank you for your perspective at 3:30. I’ve been pigeon holed as a creator for The Long Dark gameplay and survival games mostly. Mainly my own doing because early on that was all I played.
However, I want some variety now with other games, but the thought of losing a few thousand subs and exponentially more views has pumped the brakes on me expanding my content.
Your attitude towards this on your channel has solidified it for me. I’ll go my own path and those that want to join me can; those that don’t, well that’s fine too…and understandable.
Thanks!
As much as I love your camping videos, I've really enjoyed this 30 day challenge, just seeing all the different ways you've managed to come up with interesting content every day for a month.
Really looking forward to the finale.... and I hope beer is involved, because you've definitely earned it.
I love the daily vlog. It's like a comfort blanket. When all the world is messed up, get Paul Mesner out and the world is a better place.
Thanks Paul.
I love seeing Jodie in your movies. She’s a very bright person, the best part of your life!😊
I got a Niak about a month ago. My first Hilleberg, but I love it. I've been field testing it hard, even pitching it in the Italian Alps a little over a week ago. It's dead easy to pitch, strong, palatial for one inside, and not overly crammed with features, but all the features it does have are well designed.
I think it's really weird that a subscriber would unsubscribe because you've done something different for a month.
Surly you just wouldn't watch if it wasn't for you, and watch what ticks the boxes. Very strange indeed.
I've actually enjoyed your challenge and something different everyday.
If somebody lets you know they unsubbed because you didnt do what they want they are a bully and wont be missed
Those magic words...."more importantly.... It's been fun!" that's the spirit 👍
Wow, she is very talented! I would buy one if I lived in England!😊
Your Mrs is very talented 👏
She also has has a pleasant personality like him.
Wow i love your Mrs Management’s paintings she’s super super talented
Tent and stove content will get me to click right away!
Jo's paintings are lovely! Wow, I hope she had some success at the sale. Also, your videos have been fun. They are different content but I like it, it feels like you're opening up and sharing more of your life with viewers which is fun.
Really enjoying this months challenge, it is nice to get to know you and Jo a little more.
Jo's artwork look great btw.
I made the transition 12 months ago to barefoot shoes and I've not looked back. I've found my cheap Hobibear ones from Amazon extremely comfy, they're probably the comfiest shoes I own.
Very much enjoyed the variation, but I enjoyed the camping stuff too. The enjoyment comes through, keep doing what makes you smile 👏👏
Hi Paul. You are looking fantastic. Also it’s lovely that your wife features in your videos. Thank you for sharing your videos with us. Much appreciated 😊
Hi, Paul (and Jo). I've really enjoyed the June "challenge" videos.
I'm not a camper, but I'm subscribed to a few camping channels.
The "getting away from it all" is the appeal.
Even if I'm just watching you doing it.✌
I agree with a subscriber who said he subscribed for your personality, plus the different content does keep it fresh, I wish I could get out camping , I used to go night fishing, and enjoyed the great outdoors, you sir are a great inspiration
It's your personality I've subscribed for, so whatever content you put out i tend to enjoy it. Keep up the camping videos though!
A friend biught one if those little drones, and its quite a lot of fun! The fact it follows you so easily is a lot of fun.
The inner of the Unna can be folded right back and a helinox chair can be easily used inside if you are not too tall. Gives even more space for cooking safely.
Paul, at the start of this challenge, you challenge all of us to do the same. I said I would, but have only managed one video and a couple of shorts! What I have done though is think about the creative process and even how i "run" my life. Its been illuminating and Im pleased with the changes Ive made and the promise for the future.
Its been great seeing you go through this, some of your videos (well, most) have been top quality and very entertaining, but the best part is seeing you enjoy yourself and I think youve grown as a content creator. Thank you, and I really hope that you manage to maintain the number of videos that you produce, maybe not every single day, but certainly more shorter style vids.
Bet the guy was shouting, "very good very niiiiiiice" 😂😂😂
Hi Paul, I really enjoy your content whatever you get up to! This month has been brilliant, and it's given your viewers something to look forward to every day 😊. Great to see more of Jo in your videos too 👋 You've nearly completed your challenge 🌟 Alison
Thanks again Paul, there is more than one Ale trail though! I'm more familiar with the line that goes from Manchester to Huddersfield via Stalybridge, Mossley etc - or even deeper into Yorkshire to e.g. Dewsbury.
Thanks for answering my drone audio question, Paul. Appreciate you don’t do “reviews”, but that’s helpful stuff. Like these shorts, chap. You can be a bit Yorkshire (for my southern sensivities) in the long form stuff. (o; I’m enjoying this You. Perhaps the ‘less hassle’ factor is coming through?
Just had a brilliant idea to create some revenue for the Messner empire: get Jo to create a design of a country scene, then add a few mystic philosophical words and put them on china mugs. Gad, I'd have a set, instantly.
Another great video. I'm glad you said the Unna is a good tent I bought one on watching yours and others videos. Jo is so talented. Thank you. 😊
It’s all about perspective and usage re Soulo vs Unna. I’d only want the Soulo on the summits and in the winter. That peace of mind is everything when alone on the mountain, the weather can change so quickly. Soulo, for me, is the daddy. I’ve used the Unna a few times and I’d prefer it lower down or in better weather, but in those scenarios I’d be using a Trekking pole tent anyway. Anyway, just thought I’d give an alternative perspective mate ⛰️
Have enjoyed the change. Thanks.( Not really interested in watching someone cooking dinner in their tent).
Still like the walking camping ,gear, and enjoyed the one with Andy Beavers.
your vids are fantastic, this video has cheered me up🦋🦋
All his videos cheer you up as he has a happy demeaner and a cheaky smile.
Love the paintings
Its been nice to see you and joe every day, Enjoyed the Hammock video. Great channel.
Some real nice paintings there from Jo, hope she did well selling some.
I'm saving up the UA-cam money and I'm thinking about a Hilleberg but will be a big step for me to purchase something so expensive as I've never been able to do it before, I'll have to have a big think 🤔.
Good on you for doing what you want to do, stick with that approach I'd say.
Paul, just carry on with the great content. Variety is the spice of life, as they say. 😊
Hi Paul, I subscribed to your channel to see your 30-day challenge. You have been entertaining me, I normally only watch one channel from each genre. Pat Dickerson is my go-to wild camp, Peak District channel. You are in now, but I hike but not camp anymore. So, I enjoy the sights and the conversation. I live in Northern New England, White Mountain National Forest. Thanks for the videos! 😸
I looked a the hoover air X1 about a year ago, and decided not to purchase because the video quality is not up to the standard I want. However the whispers are the X2 will come out soon and much better video quality. So yeah then I will most likely purchase one.
Wow, technology is everything we imagined it could be back in the day! I’m still waiting for the hoverboard and the cure for cancer though!😊
The only issue I had with the Soulo BL was condensation. With the flap on the inner door open, condensation would still form on the inner wetting the foot of my sleeping bag when touched, water droplet would also form on the inside of the inner eventually and drip, but not enough to be an issue.. Solved the sleeping bag end getting wet with an expensive sleeping bag cover from PHD. The Soulo has restricted porch space but inner tent space is perfect as you dont touch the inner except the sleeping bag end, the shape being perfect.
For bad weather , take a 2nd short pole for the Soulo BL giving complete faith in it no matter what the wind direction.
Due to bad experiences in the past , if in doubt , will take the Soulo BL, as prefer overkill than taking a risk. Have had I think 6 Hilleberg tents, the Unna though not being one of them as I assumed it had no porch space. It also looks like not being easy to pitch if windy as will be a sail till pegged down unlike the Soulo or a tunnel tent.
The Soulo BL may be considered heavy at about 6lbs, but lighter than the Tarra I used to haul around weighing about 10 lbs.
Some gadgets sell themselves. That's a great drone for those tired of faffing with technology and just want something user-friendly and simple. While it may not have the image quality of a DGI, it certainly doesn't have poor image quality, at least from my perspective. Video is much like audio in that you can have some audiofiles be disgusted at anything below 320kbps while most folks just don't care, since they aren't listening on a $300 speaker. Most watching these videos are watching at 1080p or less, so the drone's footage is still good, imo. I've always like the idea of a drone but been too lazy to get one. The one you showed here is the one I'd be most likely to pick up. Kudos to the creators for thinking about what people actually want. The noise canceling is impressive too, though I'd hope future iterations cancel less ambient noise - I'm sure they can work that out.
I've been enjoying your daily videos. I think the split you're seeing might be folks who are here for your activities, versus people who are here for you/your personality. There are some folks I watch and I like what they do, more so than care to listen to their life and troubles. Then there are folks like you where I'm here for you, your personality, and opinions. Its not like I don't get enough camping videos in my feed from another half-dozen youTubers so if that's all I wanted, I'd just watch those. I think the variety is refreshing- helps to keep the channel fresh, and keep your mind active and spirits high. So I've been enjoying it. If you're happier with this format, I reckon that's great for most. You've come a long way over the past year.
So, what happened to that van I think you and Jo kitted out? I remember some vids about it, but I figured you'd be using it to travel a bit more, and that it might feature in further videos.
Jo's art is awesome. There are some folks who paint and the main benefit is it makes them happy, rather than them creating any impressive art. Not the case here - I'd be happy with her art on every wall. Great eye.
Thanks Paul for another great video , however people should follow the link to Jo‘s page and buy some lovely pictures. Already placed my order😊.
Thank you ☺️
I do like that little hover camera... Take care out there.
Great content mate, watched and gave a like every day. Followed you for years
I've been looking forward to your short daily uploads, I like the wild camping stuff but understand it not something that can be done consistently
There is a great ale train from Alton in Hampshire
Could you do a comparison video between the lonepeaks and the Olympus shoes, that would be a great one!
I bought the Unna and it's an amazing tent! It can withstand an awful lot of conditions and definitely has a vestibule. The soulo was way too small when I went to have a look at one and the vestibule is teeny
I got the Unna too. Like it 👍🙂
I have the unna and myself and my 2 dogs fit in it easily 😀👍
So proud of you❤
I am a big fan of barefoot shoes, especially the Jim Green barefoot boots
What was that little green-top backpacking table in the B-roll you showed? Thanks
Like the new format. 👍
Stop it Paul... The Unna has become my dream tent
Having owned both and a black label soulo, I'd stick with the black label soulo all day long and I'm 6ft 3. Unna is great though, especially with the upgraded 10mm poles and extra guy lines but... after purchasing all those extras... £££
Subscriber's come and go Paul just do what makes you happy nearly a review video there mind 😂😂 atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
I'd love that drone but it would not be appreciated in the forests where I backpack.
Barefoot shoes are the best! Keep it up
Why not add a bit of bushcraft to wildcamps?
Good watch as always, ha way the lads
Thanks Paul - I ordered a pair of those shoes👍
Would you fold back the inner and dig a cat hole for a poo, like a certain northern Irish UA-camr suggested recently?
Love Jo's artwork.
Not a chance. 😂. Thats a crazy idea.
@@PaulMessner I think Stephen was very tired at the time😂
good video mate, have a good weekend
Does it need CAA 250g stuff...
I've got CTs Niak
She’s very good!
@jo really nice work
Hi Paul, great video. Can I ask what GoPro you use pal? Cheers
Gopro hero 12 but this particular video was filmed with a DJI pocket 3
Hi Paul, can you get the net inner in the UK?
No white shoes anymore
Good vid see you later
Why not walk the ale trail?
It adds time in between pints
@@paulcowham2095 🤣🤣 true
👋🏼
Not far from you, up Stannington bud
😂👍👍👍👍👍👍😀😀😀👍👍👍😀😀😀😀
Hey Paul, I always assumed Jo was a Josephine 😂.
Lovely work though.
Atb, Paul
Drones in general but in particular this rather high pitched Hover drone: I find it quite annoying being out in nature and then hearing a really high pitched Hover drone. Total disrespect of other people’s space and enjoyment of nature. Leave no trace isn’t only about not littering etc, but also not disturbing those around you who are also enjoying the nature. Obviously pilot can choose when and and when not to fly a drone so as not to disturb others.
Yes it is, but try buying one....
It’s quite easy if you contact hilleberg directly. They have them in stock and will send you an invoice to pay and they ship it out.
@PaulMessner All colours are only available for backorder on their site...
@@Dr.D00p they had none in stock in their website but I emailed their customer support and they had the tent 10mm pole set and mesh inner. There was none showing in stock anywhere. It’s always worth asking the question
@PaulMessner Well it's patently obvious that someone, somewhere at Hilleberg needs to sort out their supply issues because quite frankly, Hilleberg have been woeful with their stock levels for years. It shouldn't be so difficult to just buy a tent.
@@Dr.D00p I agree. I think that the scarcity ups the demand
I see Allak more popular then Unna if im not mistaken its lighter also and better for long distance hiking.
p.s. I bet those paintings will be out of stock very soon after that video😅
No way better no where near as strong and robust
that drone is SICK!
Sorry, had to skip the majority of this video. Ads have gone crazy and you can’t skip.
I wouldn't want anyone spoiling my walk with that noisy horrible drone flying near me. People go out to walk in a peaceful environment, not to be bothered by these noisy things.
