This song always touches my heart. Kids are the most innocent beings in this planet, and should be treated as such. Anyone that does harm to children have a special place in hades.

It's all too close to home for me, unlike this young man me and my brothers had no one but each other. Needless to say we only had to endure three years of this crap. Me and my brothers all turned out fine and we are all good men. Love for my brothers and I kept us alive, and after a long road have forgiven my mother. And decided the Lord we'll see to him.
This is for real, many times over, for many families. By God's Grace and Mercy, my Mother, brother and sister survived a violent Alcoholic Father.

My nephew wasn't even 2, he couldn't even pray this prayer when this happened to him. My mom won't even tell me all the details bit I know that boy was beat excessively and this song breaks me every time.

This is a true story. So sad but true. My mom is a foster mom has had this baby since he was three months old because his mom OD'ed while driving with him in the car. Also of when she came to see him she is in my mom's driveway. Now he is two and they are talking about letting him go back. It to her almost two years to take her classes and almost two years to pass a drug test. The little boy has developmental issues from m drugs while his mom was pregnant. Now she is due to deliver again in Feb. I'm so scared for him because he has outburst and she doesn't have a clue how to deal with him. Please say a prayer that he stays with my mom❤

From age 6 to 12 this was me. I was beat almost daily. I truly thought he would kill me. I went to sleep at night and had nightmares of my parent killing me. Beat then made to soak in ice water so shit wouldn't show when I went to school. Locked in closets for days sometimes. At 12 I ran away been taking care of my self since then. I got into drugs and was headed down bad road. At 17 I found out I was going to be a father. Quit drugs drinking that day and been clean ever since. I'm 37 3 boys and as bad as Mt childhood was I learned from the shit that happend to me and it made me a great father. Anyone who abuses a child should die. Just saying

I hate to tell you but this has been going on for a very long time it's nothing new im 52 years old and I lived through this at 12 years old and I still live with it today there's not a day that goes by that I don't want to go and see my step-father and say whatever and just go to prison he lives only 30 minutes from me but I choose to break the cycle and I choose to be here for my kids so they don't have to live the life I did

This song has such a deep message. Whenever a person takes the time to listen and be kind to a child it has positive ripple effects that you may never know about. I think we can all look back at special people in our lives that helped us at critical junctures and their example becomes a guiding light. Those children will remember your loving hearts and the seeing the love between you and each other and your children.

I raised a child from birth and never could hurt her like i was i cant put my feelings i felt on her... I can't ever hurt any kids ...when i was abused I hated questioning my worth so i vowed to never put my kids at that level... because i love them more than anything else in this universe... loving them I was taught by very respectful person younger and not my parent's that hitting hurting someone isn't loving them it's lying to them because how can a person love someone doing that.. they don't they're lying to the kid and themselves... I'm a prime example that stats are not always correct ...cycles of abuse do change it takes a survivor to break the cycle the ones who says but i went through it it's a learning experience...was great one for me... I felt like trash when my parent's abused me i felt unloved unwanted so i learned from the feelings that I felt...and I refuse to put my kids in them shoes it's not fun ...and to do to the child now that's an excuse they use oh I went through it ... learn from shit you see and experience stop using excuses
