If you guys use this, please remember to be careful. Too much pressure on the skin, ESPECIALLY if it’s a dragging pressure, can cause premature wrinkles. This type of thing is best used with a moisturizer. That way it still gets a massage, but it doesn’t stretch the skin too much and it moisturizes the skin at the same time. I always use a super dense flat foundation brush to work my skincare in. I’m thinking about investing in a jade roller too, because I’ve heard nothing but good things about them. The only true downside to a gua sha is if you use it too much and if you use it on a dry face, especially in the eye area. The best skincare tip you will ever receive: ALWAYS. GO. GENTLE. Unless you’re seeing a dermatologist and they give you specific treatments or recommendations, always go gentle. Gentle cleanser. Gentle toner. Gentle moisturizer. Gentle EVERYTHING. If it goes on your face, make sure it is gentle. I promise you will see an improvement.

@@mnybags07 it's probably both. The body has like 60% of water, so yeah there is fluid in your body that the lymphatic system helps to carry. The lymphatic system is quite similar to the cardiovascular system. But unlike the cardiovascular system, the lymphatic system doesn't have a mechanical pumping system (aka the heart that helps carrying the blood) to keep the fluid moving. Sometimes it needs extra help and massage is a manual way to do that. Thats why sometimes people have swollen face or even swollen calf and legs. It's all buildup fluid.

Gua sha is amazing, it helped me define my jaw line and make it more symmetrical. I’ve been doing it for a year now and I have much less noticeable sagging in the jowl area too. What I’ve noticed is it relieves tense face muscles that would make me look older if always activated. I iron out the tension between my eyebrows then those muscles become less active in the future and prevent deeper lines. I dont get as sore because the lactic acid doesnt have a chance go build up in my body. In my face, I felt the biggest advantage was when i lost 130 pounds! My face skin bounced right back and I only have a small amount of loose skin on my eye lids, it gives me a more intense moody look and accentuates my eye shape, so I can’t complain 😉 but i cant imagine what my skin would be like now if i was not skin care obsessed when I was a young teen!

@@LM-kd2zm I hope this analogy helps. You're arguing against the necessity of a particular fancy dishcloth some people like to use, and we're pointing out that regardless of it not being dependent on the particular tool, washing dishes still results in clean dishes and it's not correct to characterize the process as categorically not working. The tool is independent of the method.
Let people use what harmless stuff works for them, there's no reason not to. Lymphatic drainage is a healthy harmless good thing, it deflates one's face a bit if done well but also has really cool applications in oncology massage and for people with heart and kidney diseases, among other issues. In the video he's saying it doesn't do ALL of what's shown, with regard to structural change, not that it does nothing.
