Senn guy here.....While they are a tiny bit veiled in the highs....best value: Drop's 6xx.....scale very well with successively higher output Amps and only cost $199.
You can still get those???? Wow! I bought mine when they were still called Massdrop almost a decade ago, and they're still working like they're brand new.
Thanks! I saw a few video's of people discussing the differences between the 490 PRO and the 6xx. The 6xx sounds like a great choice as well. I think I'm becoming a Sennheiser fanboy lol.
I have never used the Hifiman HE400Se headphones but based on the specs they are only comparable perhaps in how they look. However the frequency response and impedance on the HE400SE is very different from the Sennheiser headphones.
