Been using my sealer for about a month now. I love it. Meat I would ordinarily forget about in the fridge, now gets sealed and stored in the freezer. Bought one pound of bulk Italian sausage. Divided into four parts and sealed each. When I want a bit of flavor to ground beef, etc., it is within reach. Buy an entire side of salmon from Costco. Cut into serving pieces and seal. Now I need a larger freezer ... LOL. Those carrots are gorgeous.
@@13soap13 Hello! We just purchased this sealer after seeing Kevin’s video last week. We’ve no experience using this product so any suggestions, feedback, advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. I really feel like this will cut down on wasting food. Thanks and have a great Sunday!🤗
I can remember when I was little, my uncle's family was on a juice kick. Thry drank so much carrot juice that they turned orange!😂 Thanks for triggering that memory! 😁
Any time I can see Avery up close and personal is an AWESOME day! Kevin, thank you for sharing your life, your garden, your foody skills and your animals with us! So very much appreciated by so many....
❤Kevin thank you for always making the day brighter when your episodes drop!!! Starting my days with you and a cup of Tierra Farm coffee or tea is so fun!
Love your show so much. I go to you whenever I am anxious. You and your beautiful home and garden calm me and I learn a new recipe or two! A top for sealing ‘wet’ foods - soups, sauces, etc. Freeze the food first (a few hours or so) then you can vacuum the frozen portion with success and no mess!
Loved that tip Kevin about wrapping your potato to bake . I just always wrapped it up and just threw it in the oven not even considering the out come. thanks a bunch.
Love your videos, Kevin - so relaxing and a pleasure to watch - and listen to you. You are so calming! Love the variety in your shows. You are such a perfectionist and it shows in your cooking, your house, your gardens, your entertaining. Don't know how you do it all and make it look easy, which I know it is not! I love the precision with which you present your recipes - everything you say is so clear and perfectly enunciated. Mr. Fox is a lucky man!
OMGoodness!!! I FOUND You Again!!! Had to replace my computer - lost every thing/one - AND - TODAY scrolling FOUND You Again!!! Will be watching every chance I get!!! God Bless!!!
I grew pelted carrots for the first time - they grew beautifully in Thunder Bay Ontario and no thinning was required. Really appreciated this video as have now picked all my carrots and yellow beans and need to start blanching which I have never done before. I have a vacuum sealer so hope that will prevent freezer burns in the months to come.
Oh my dear neighbor! So glad you visited again! Vacuum sealers are a miracle but still not good the environment….but what ya gonna do? I mean plastics or chop down trees for paper bags. I think the latter but paper will not store food like plastic. We have 3 firepits along 200 feet of lake frontage. 2 fireplaces indoors. Nothing better to break the chill. You remain a UA-cam staple in my household. You are my family’s all time favorite INFLUENCER! GOD BLESS AMERICA AND YOU & YOURS!!!!!!!!!!
What a beautiful as well as bountiful harvest of carrots, celery and green beans. I once owned a vacuum sealer but never really cared for it. I have very limited counter and storage space in my kitchen which made it very difficult to use and store. I donated it to Goodwill. I know you are happy the weather has become cool enough for a nice fire!!! Baked potatoes are certainly versatile and can be made into a meal all by themselves with the addition of just a few delicious toppings!!! Thanks so much for sharing your vegetable harvest and showing us how you preserved them. Additional thanks for sharing your fireside early dinner!!! 💝💝💝
Hello Kevin! I was in the Adirondack’s this past week and had a chance to visit Tierra Farms on my way back home to Medford. Lovely farm and I purchased some organic nuts and the coffee smelled amazing! Their heirloom tomatoes are very delicious! I picked up some granola as well. The drive was so nice and the mountain air ( we stayed on Schroon Lake) was invigorating and we slept so soundly. Lake George was fun, we did a narrated boat ride on the Mohican that was very informative. We found a hidden gem of a restaurant called Cafe Adirondack. The dinner we had was so good and I wished we had found it when we first arrived. I thought of you as we drove to the Hudson Valley. Your area is beautiful and I hope this finds you and your family safe and healthy. Always look forward to your videos!🤗💕🙏
I didn't grow any carrots in my garden this year, but I did buy some pretty good organic carrots at the grocery store yesterday. I was looking for some vitamin A and carotene. Your carrots look absolutely beautiful! Amazing. I was thinking about making some carrot ginger soup. I like the idea of blanching and freezing. I don't have a nifty sealer like the one you've got, but can do something like that using a straw to take the air out of the bag. Not as perfect a seal, but okay. Fun to see Avery in the garden. She looks so happy and content. I think she "booped" the camera. Cute puppers. The Tex Mex baked potato sounds wonderful. Especially good idea for fall winter supper, when you can't think what to make. Think of all of the soups and stews you will make with the frozen vegetables. The table looks lovely as per usual, by the fireside. Kevin, I think I watched too much news and politics this week and made me feel a little down, but literally just from watching your video, the gray cloud is lifting. Thank you for the video. You have such a calming and reassuring effect on your viewers.Take care and have a great weekend. See you in the next video.♥️🐕💐🥕🥬🍅🥔🧀🫑🌶️🧅🍷
🔥Fireplace, love to hear the wood crackling and the smell, but in Montreal, we are no longer permitted to use our fireplace. It was brilliant of you to clean the carrots on a mesh top table and stones below to catch the water!! Happy to see your fun dinner idea. Have a great weekend!
That's a great way to wrap the potatoes with foil - I will definitely do this from now on - thanks! BTW - if you freeze your empty butter wrappers, you can let them thaw a couple of minutes, then use them to rub the potatoes with butter - less mess and it uses all the butter!
Omg. Just got back from a mini vacation and also purchased my first sealer. Then watched your show. I'm excited for both of us. I love your relaxing show. Simply adore you❤
Thank you so much for that foil folding trick, Kevin. I’ve never heard of that before. And it makes so much sense. As always thank you for inviting us into your life. You’re an inspiration and joy.
Hi Kevin, I absolutely love your channel! You are not too far from where I live over the border in VT. The Tomato Pie recipe was excellent! Would you please include in a video how you planted and grew those beautiful large purple Zinnias. I so want to include those in my garden for fresh cutting for floral arrangements next year. My goal for next year is to create a flower garden that includes flowers for cutting for arrangements.
Muchas gracias Don Kevin. Cada día aprendo más de Usted, aprecio grandemente su generosidad al compartir sus conocimientos, su hogar y transmitirnos una paz que es estas épocas es muy necesaria.
I enjoyed watching you prepare your vegetables for sealing! I want to get a sealer and appreciate your review of this one! The Tex/Mex potatoes looked delicious and perfect for a late lunch or early supper! Yum!
Vacuum sealers are a game changer. We got ours at a thrift store many years ago. We have had to change the gasket a few times, but being able to freeze various items for long-term storage saves time and money.
I just discovered your videos earlier this week after searching for a healthy granola recipe. It was definitely my lucky day. I ordered the ingredients from Tierra Farms and received my box yesterday and made the granola. It is certainly delicious and addicting lol. I have been binge watching your videos and enjoy the calm, soothing music and your voice. Your home is beautiful as are your flower arrangements. I enjoy everything about your channel. I am hoping to make some of your recipes. Thank you so much for sharing your lifestyle with us.
Your carrots look amazing. We tried carrots for the first time this year and we haven’t had much luck. Our peppers and tomato harvest have been fantastic! Thank you for your videos.
Awesome garden harvest! Honestly, I prefer the taste and texture of home canned green beans and carrots to frozen, but I do freeze peppers, celery and onions. If I don't use up the frozen veggies, or if they last into hurricane season, I then dehydrate them for even longer storage. The Tex--Mex potatoes look delicious!

Hi again Kevin, I just wanted to let you know that I plant a carrot variety called Envy because it stores well ( I don't care for frozen carrots ). The best way for me to store my carrots is to leave them in the garden, covered by a thick layer of straw. They last very well this way, even if a few get nibbled by our little neighbors. I live in the very northwest corner of PA and the ground doesn't freeze solid until February. As long as I remember to dig them in January all's well. After that they're good for another month or so in the fridge. Blessings!
Will try the blanching! Thanks. We love "loaded" baked potatoes for casual dinners. We create a buffet of various toppings including chili. The kids enjoy it as do the adults.
When I get home from the grocery, I get my sealer out. It’s incredible how it saves money by keeping foods fresh. Frozen foods are never freezer burned. Steaks stay perfect. Bet thing I ever bought for my kitchen.

Your climate this summer was really fantastic for tomato's too! You gave me a terrific idea with the texmex potato's! I am often looking for a quick supper when running late, and this is perfect. Love the sealer, but I am trying my best to avoid any plastic in my home....I do love your jar sealer too which is more environmentally friendly. You have given me so many ideas!
