Weapon handling has felt really odd since beta. The game is really fast paced yet everything about weapons feels slow in comparison. Reload speeds being the worst.
easy fix with the reloads is enabling sprint to cancel reload and only using sprint assist and not tac sprint assist this means you can cancel the end lag by pressing the sprint button

@completelytransparent6320 Jesua christ. You don't seem to understand what skill discrepancy is. You're saying that since he couldn't kill the kill who slid (which took no skill) that means by default he is also not skilled... that's idiotic. Personally I believe double time or extreme conditioning should grant you tac sprinting altogether. It'll make this perk a lot more useful and fix some of the bad spawns. Lot of the maps are far too small for everyone being able to sprint to the other side in less than 30 seconds.
They did NOT need tac sprint in this game at all. It works so counter to the sprint in any direction mechanic, and also makes the game too fast. The standard sprint speed alone would make the game feel a lot better.
This is the first cod I played in like 8 years. I wasn't expecting to get any kills but got a surprising amount of them. I don't even slide spam, I just move around the map between various points looking for enemies to pick off. Had plenty of crackheads slide right past my hiding spot and get sprayed in the back
My only really big gripe is that I am always sliding when I would like to just crouch and get into cover. There’s no real easy way to do that besides just stop moving for like .2 seconds of slide cancel. Collision into a wall should make you stop but that’s not a thing.
This has been an issue for me. In every FPS I play, when I'm sprinting I'll flick my left stick to the right to break the sprint while maintaining a level of forward momentum, but with this movement system, I'll do that by muscle memory, then go to crouch and will instead slide like I'm on ice into a situation I didn't want to be in.
You can slide cancel with crouch and you won't stand back up. You'll stay crouched straight out of the slide which is great when you're running up to a piece of low cover that you want to crouch behind.
So far, the omni direction movement has something i have both A: Not even used, literally playing this like every other call of duty (and done just fine) And B: Have not seen anybody use beyond and *occasional* sideways dive. Which never really made the difference in the firefight.
You already slide way further when u have a running start. The stationary slide is a few feet long and that’s fine. Gun handling feels slow if you don’t have attachments that increase your sprint to fire & ADS. I don’t see any problems besides the Recon perk & mediocre maps.
The problem isnt that they're hard to hit, its that they can still shoot you with precision while doing all that crap. They need to heavily nerf accuracy when jumping and sliding ext.

On the sliding argument, I agree that the way they currently work, but not ALL of your suggested fix. From a Physics perspective it makes sense that the faster you were moving when starting a slide, the faster you slide in general. But the biggest issue with the slide, is the fact of tons of gunfights all just end up becoming people rocketing past each other and trying to spin to hit shots. It looks stupid, it turns gunfights into a coin flip and feels completely jarring. (Even more so than the jagged AW exo advanced movement) In general the ability to rocket off of somebody's screen within 5 frames (5/60th's of a second or 82ms) is ridiculous, and what's worse is that there is no penalty or downside to doing so. No risk vs reward as you can cancel that slide at any point and immediately begin running/ sliding/ diving in any direction, to further blindside an opponent who could have otherwise been prepared for the fight. Personally My suggestion would be a Flat speed and distance reduction when sliding, while keeping all slides the same for the sake of consistency. Yes sliding should be somewhat useful for gunfights, but it should be a tool with a specific range of use cases, where using it in appropriate places rewards you while abusing it in wrong place punishes you. But it should NOT be the go to for the vast majority of fights as it currently seems to be. This said, a decent amount of the bad feeling from this would be fixed if CoD's servers weren't as trash as they are (and YES I know its 64Hz tick) With the desync being the biggest issue, even in lobbies where I have a 3ms ping I'm STILL getting dropped around solid concrete walls when I got to cover an entire second or 2 before I randomly die, not to mention shoot first die first, where I seen an opponent, land 4 shots to their upper chest before they hit me one time and suddenly I'M watching the killcam, even when using the same weapon.

I feel a good thing would be to set these gimmicks as "optional" in the settings, I personally dont use omni movement intentionally and I have more or less gotten myself killed using it more then the ACTUAL movement has. Allow me to slide forward and thats all I cared for in the first place. Outside of this everything else is a gimmick to set up for video bullshit and try to take advantage of set scenarios. The omni movement is practically useless outside of CQC where you know the enemy is if you just jump threw a random ass door you still get blipped with a shotgun or sniper thats corner camping with perks to avoid notice. Generally they did a great job allowing you to get access to stuff that predicts the opponent via sound making things 50/50, however before the update and after you die anyways its still a 50/50 as you had to still die to solve the camping problem first (For most this is cooking a grenade). But I find this movement only make sense mainly for zombies as it gets you out of some interesting issues. I sometimes see people running around at a slower frame rate than the game, this legit makes it almost impossible for me to snipe including how slow I ads, like it’s crazy
Black ops six movement is so fast that we might as well have a call of duty ghost sized maps to level the playing field on the increasing speed of movement in every game
The hitboxes are scuffed and the desync makes it so the models are not aligned with the hitbox when you slide and dive. Also HVT and Morphine Last Stand gives you invincibility frames as you go down.
You nailed it, this is why I am enjoying this cod and I could not work out why. I said to my mate it feels like quake movement for noobs and the hardcore mode as a result feels like instagib. never ever played a cod so much before this change.
this is like the jump shotting argument, i have always thought if you want to be able to fire your weapon while jumping that you should have to use either an attachment or a perk for movement, something else i dont under stand is why taking shot dose not knock you out of tac sprint, like if your tac sprinting and start taking shots, it should knock you out of your tac sprint and you just keep normal sprinting,
Something Ive always thought about and especially with COD, I don't remember who said it but it was "People will optimize the fun out of a game". Which with every consecutive year of COD it has become more and more unplayable as the skill gap becomes a skill canyon. And I'm not bad at shooters, my few clips prove it. I grew up on UT2004 and its miles ahead with its movement and speed, yet something about modern COD makes it impossible to shoot anyone. There one second gone the next and you're respawning before you even realize it.
Omnimoment is a buzzword slur right now like sbmm, you can have omnimoment without sliding 20m just like having one good game shouldn't put you in a lobby with people who play this game for a living.
Agreed. This is an argument I've been making for years now - Auto tac sprint BREAKS how movement works. It means that you can't balance the movement with auto-tac sprint because it takes away any sense of momentum or movement logic. It's a broken mechanic and has been for years. Omnimovement is great, auto tac sprint breaks it.
problem with tiers of slides: you slide in kill 1 guy get jumped by a second one then what? normally you would slide away but now your character just does a little flop due to no momentum and now your dead
Coming back to cod since hopping off at mw19 from other shooters primarily Quake(played for years) and the movement doesnt bother me although it does feel odd for a cod and many of the maps designs(too much clutter imo) dont lend to a good flow and pace to facilitate the assumed gameplay they may have been hoping for. This movement would make sense in a jetpack cods i feel tho.The biggest issue I like others seem to have, that will negate most any bit of enjoyment is the near constant, heavy desync or at least as best as we can know. This is probably the most inconsistent, bordering broken online play I've seen in some time. Last cod I played that had a similarly poor online mp was ww2 until they had netcode/server maintenance halfway through the games life, which made a significant much needed improvement. It felt like a normal online fps. It also got many players back but sadly not enough and it came much too late in the games life to save it. Im hoping BO6 does not pan out the same way as I feel like the desync is only exacerbated by the new movement metas.
At some point we are going to have to realize that the movement is just to fast. Just as we did in the Advanced movement days. Modern Warfare 2019 movement and speed was perfect, it was the best warzone and multiplayer experience. I am actually really excited to see what IW does with MW4 next year with omni movement, this game just seems all over the place.
“Gun up” mentality completely ruined CoD it removes basically any need for gun hygiene it’s basically just your aim and internet vs the other guy no thinking required.
One concept I took from playing and learning Overwatch was volatility While in Overwatch, this is usually more of a cooldown related topic, I feel the concept matches on pretty well here If you have something that can grant a massive spike in value, it should have a form of wind up, readability or open you up to risk I feel that sliding in this game sorta breaks all 3 and is way too strong for how easy it is to pull off It's not game ruining, but in the moment I'm just like 'wtf'
This is honestly the best movement COD has ever had. My only complaint about the game this far is the lack of map size variations and the "marksman rifles." i miss the old kar98 from the OG warzone era. My opinion is that when they nerfed movement and sniping was when they ruined warzone, but hopefully, it gets to make a comeback with the integration
What do you mean, isn't perfectly natural to slide across a room and and instantly slide in a different direction across the room at such a speed that the animation can't keep up? This game is just a ploy the sell more controllers with paddles on the back.
You're ridiculously fast in this game, that's for sure. But keeping people fast on the ground makes it so they're not jumping around and proning like crazy. I'm glad you mentioned an advanced air movement with this movement style. Imagine. Anywho. Yeah, it's rough for old men like me (27) when people are slipping and sliding everywhere
@@thebigbean8783 thats not what I meant, 27 isnt old, heck your not even in your prime yet. Sure if your a CDL player, but Its not the first time I hear younger people act as if 30 is being old.
I think you hit the nail on the head when you say the slide and movement is fun but doesn't complement the current game well. I think it's criminal that the maps seem based on the old movement and not to maximize the novelty of the new movement
I don’t play the movement any different than I have the last couple years. I think it’s all in people’s heads. I’m on PC mouse and keys. I just focus on my aim and what little Omni movement comes naturally. I have a 2 something KD. So I just don’t see any of it as a problem
Maybe having a stamina bar could help mitigate this so any action such as running and sliding would consume it...specially if you slide...but that won't happen lol.
Im coming from Mw2 and Mnk where pace of play is extremely slow. Top frag like everytime on that game. Been playing for like a week and half on b06 the time to kill is so slow. Ive been rocking the Model L maybe ars are just bad? people just slid around no aim assist for mnk and people on controller just destroy me lol. I feel the hit box on mnk is just super weird and bad.
Idk if the aim assist has been nerfed, as personally I have noticed it drag on enemies through some walls and objects. Not to sure if that is intentional.
It could be similar to the one from dying light 2 I think if something like that was made its added mechanics would extend the playability of mini movement.
People advocate for things, resulting in a game to be potentially be more sweaty. Then complain about the game being sweaty. CoD fans in general. Just like that bike meme.
So glad zombies is fun so I don’t have to worry about ttv sweatlords😂 Hell even when I do decide to hop in multiplayer(to get a few basic attachments) the sweats are thankfully rare. And if they do exist I can use the movement to counter them
i couldnt disagree more, taking into account how poorly these maps are made with this movement in mind, the only fix i see is getting rid of slides and tac sprint entirely. im not terrible at the game, but i feel like ill never be able to enjoy these games again if their goal is just make everyone move a 1000mph. i fail to see how it is any fun. at the very least id love the devs to put in a game mode where the expanded movement is turned off
Good video. You know, when I used to get my ass handed to me, I would get back in there. I was motivated. This game doesn't motivate me, but I don't blame it--it's me. I'm coming back after several years--5 or 6. It is a much different experience, and I'm not sure it's progress, but I'm gonna give it to you youngn's. I actually think the mechanics are awesome. But the whole experience feels disconnected and not the game I used to play, and I'm good with that. I waste the cost of the game on much more frivolous and less fun shit, but like that shit, this is gonna get thrown away pretty soon. I'm not mad about it (although I understand why people are), but the way I feel when I play this game is that it's happening to me, rather than I'm happening to it, even if I'm getting my ass handed to me. This doesn't feel like a game. It feels like a movie I'm pushing a character around in, but that's all. This one confirmed my focus on single-player games and other shit, if I want a cinematic experience.
You're downplaying how fun it is for a lot of the community though. It doesn't need to be realistic, we have enough things that aren't realistic in COD already way worse than high slide speed. I like the fact that I can blast into a side slide during a gunfight to use movement skill to potentially win. If his reactions are tracking are good enough he is at the advantage given the time to fire time after a slide anyway. That aspect of it really reels it in, even with attachment support. I don't think your take is wrong, and I agree that some* of the map areas don't feel designed around this, but not all. Still think it translates to old maps pretty well. I think the problem here is its clear in the last 9 years COD has been moving more and more towards speed, higher movement skill gap. The games used to be waaay more slow and tactical, and that part of the community is still there, while we have another part who wants the speed, who like the double jumps and wall running from older games, who love sliding. Its clear the majority want speed and small maps, we see that trend for map releases since 2019 slowly being more common to now in BO6 its mostly small or even tiny maps played now (6v6 on 2v2 maps super popular, not just for leveling guns but for constant action and engagement). So I think its fair to want that old style back since it used to be part of COD, but I think now most players want that faster pace. If you want a slower pace I think its Warzone or another game like Rainbow 6, Counter-Strike, or PUBG now. Just the way COD is going now and I don't see it stopping anytime soon.
I have to disagree with you, if you make the slide inconsistent it’d make the game feel clunky. Sounds like you’re complaining about AA not helping you enough. 😅
That's the desync. It makes it look like I'm way worse at that game than I actually am. I will see somebody first, shoot first, and right before the killing bullet comes out of my gun I get insta melted when the person turns around. The killcam shows it like I never shot at them. You might as well be playing a different match with the desync.
Unless you're using an SMG at extreme range... it's never going to take 8 shots to kill someone. That's not a TTK issue. That's a server issue. Let's learn the terms and what they actually mean.
Bro you just need to keep moving. If you're trying to stop to shoot somebody you're going to have a bad time. It's a high movement game, keep it moving! Stop crying because people are breaking your camera. Learn how to keep them in front of you.
Learning the maps is one thing but in the end you’re still learning bad maps lol. Most of them are objectively bad. Can you imagine real modern combat in the real World. Got Hamas and the Israel Defense forces booty sliding all over Gaza trying to take each other out 😂. I agree with your take on the slide and how they should change it. Personally I’d rather it return to a State that it’s not good enough to abuse.
Im ok with sprint in any direction, even diving in ever direction, but something feels physically impossible to do irl, which make it really hard to predict how people move. I see cod as a simcade style shooter, with games like ready or not, or body cam being sim, and overwatch, split gate, titanfall 2 being arcade. This feels distinctly arcade like, auto sprint and omnidirectional slides should be reserved for titan fall like gameplay, bigger maps etc. It just doesn't belong.
Weapon handling has felt really odd since beta. The game is really fast paced yet everything about weapons feels slow in comparison. Reload speeds being the worst.

this is like the jump shotting argument, i have always thought if you want to be able to fire your weapon while jumping that you should have to use either an attachment or a perk for movement, something else i dont under stand is why taking shot dose not knock you out of tac sprint, like if your tac sprinting and start taking shots, it should knock you out of your tac sprint and you just keep normal sprinting,
This is a really amazing point and Treyarch really needs to hear this good job!
There one second gone the next and you're respawning before you even realize it.
i mean mwIII did the exact same thing but just not as far or as fast of a slide so
being able to slide from basically a standstill
Omnimoment is a buzzword slur right now like sbmm, you can have omnimoment without sliding 20m just like having one good game shouldn't put you in a lobby with people who play this game for a living.
Agreed.
This is an argument I've been making for years now - Auto tac sprint BREAKS how movement works. It means that you can't balance the movement with auto-tac sprint because it takes away any sense of momentum or movement logic. It's a broken mechanic and has been for years.
Omnimovement is great, auto tac sprint breaks it.
Totally agree. And it seems like a small tweak to at least try and see how it goes.
walking=little slide, running=medium slide, tac sprint=long slide. simple as that.
side note: sliding should not let you ads. makes no sense to be able to be accurate while sliding.
problem with tiers of slides: you slide in kill 1 guy get jumped by a second one then what? normally you would slide away but now your character just does a little flop due to no momentum and now your dead
uninstall the game
Omni-movement off would make this a top 3 Treyarch outing of all time. Oh yeah, and wildly better maps.
If you play without omnimovement on in the settings does it still match you with people that do have it on?
I agree with this. It seems like a balanced and fair way to implement sliding.
“Gun up” mentality completely ruined CoD it removes basically any need for gun hygiene it’s basically just your aim and internet vs the other guy no thinking required.
I dig the nuanced approach bro 👊
They need to just stop fixing things that are not broke.
Funniest thing is when they do the slide prone, jump back the other way combo 😂
One concept I took from playing and learning Overwatch was volatility
While in Overwatch, this is usually more of a cooldown related topic, I feel the concept matches on pretty well here
If you have something that can grant a massive spike in value, it should have a form of wind up, readability or open you up to risk
I feel that sliding in this game sorta breaks all 3 and is way too strong for how easy it is to pull off
It's not game ruining, but in the moment I'm just like 'wtf'
27.... dafuq is wrong with you people.
@lolzorthesecond i can't enjoy things because time caught up with me?
@@thebigbean8783 thats not what I meant, 27 isnt old, heck your not even in your prime yet. Sure if your a CDL player, but Its not the first time I hear younger people act as if 30 is being old.
I’m 30 and pooping on kids with the movement tech. I’ll be disappointed if they nerf it
Any games movement where you can slide without a run up is dumb.
Bo6 is my first cod since AW and I love it, hated bo3's movements and IW too and never got back in it, but bo6 is locking me i
Movement is faster than the. Weapons rate of fire smh
I think you hit the nail on the head when you say the slide and movement is fun but doesn't complement the current game well. I think it's criminal that the maps seem based on the old movement and not to maximize the novelty of the new movement
Just slow down the ttk by half a second and allow gunfights to happen instead of just deat. That would fix half of the games problems.
I turned off ommi movement, don't like it unless I'm in third person which this doesn't have in public matches.
I agree with the slide changes 100 percent
Nobody really use omni movement like crazy that i seen, they using it but not much i rather slide or jump shot
Why does hip firing feel so sluggish???
I enjoy the movement, but the maps were not built around it.
If they add a br mode they should could add a rope swing system similar to what was used in uncharted 4 paired with omni movement could be wild
It could be similar to the one from dying light 2 I think if something like that was made its added mechanics would extend the playability of mini movement.
the entire goddamn game seems determined to ruin gunfights
Lol the sliding looks like you got shot out of a cannon. Basically standing still to accelerating across the ground haha
People advocate for things, resulting in a game to be potentially be more sweaty.
Then complain about the game being sweaty.
CoD fans in general. Just like that bike meme.
I’m sadly guilty of bitching but I want to stop
I agree the maps should be made for the movement in the game
100% agree with this
So glad zombies is fun so I don’t have to worry about ttv sweatlords😂
Hell even when I do decide to hop in multiplayer(to get a few basic attachments) the sweats are thankfully rare. And if they do exist I can use the movement to counter them
i couldnt disagree more, taking into account how poorly these maps are made with this movement in mind, the only fix i see is getting rid of slides and tac sprint entirely. im not terrible at the game, but i feel like ill never be able to enjoy these games again if their goal is just make everyone move a 1000mph. i fail to see how it is any fun. at the very least id love the devs to put in a game mode where the expanded movement is turned off
2:25 so you basically want a titanfall 3?
I agree with you my guy
Great take 👌 👏 👍 🙌
After update the game doesn't feel the same when it comes movement
Update only nerfed snaking
Just play tactically
It’s like playing duck hunt
We're Sojourn from overwatch with her booster slide.
The booty sliding around corners is annoying
I love the movement. No complaints I’m hitting demon mode more often after being prestige 3 😂 some ppl just need to get better
Dejavú it feels like Advanced Warfare just released 😂
They stole it from Hell Divers 2, who stole it from MGS5. fml.
I play on 6-6 114 FOV and abuse the movement all day, use more of your stick 😂
1:07 sounds a lot like blame truth 🤣
I have to disagree with you, if you make the slide inconsistent it’d make the game feel clunky. Sounds like you’re complaining about AA not helping you enough. 😅
Should've stayed full time at Walmart 😂
My issue is the TTK. The fact I’m putting 7 8 shots in somebody and they aren’t dying is fking annoying
Fight within effective range
Killed this game.
Bro you just need to keep moving. If you're trying to stop to shoot somebody you're going to have a bad time. It's a high movement game, keep it moving! Stop crying because people are breaking your camera. Learn how to keep them in front of you.
Don’t care what you say bo6 is garbage the movement needs nerfed and the guns feel terrible.
Personally I’d rather it return to a State that it’s not good enough to abuse.
skill issue
You lost me when you said running on walls
I never use autosprint, and it's really not hard to slide from a standstill, so I'm in two minds about this
the one boom?
Yes?
Im ok with sprint in any direction, even diving in ever direction, but something feels physically impossible to do irl, which make it really hard to predict how people move.
I see cod as a simcade style shooter, with games like ready or not, or body cam being sim, and overwatch, split gate, titanfall 2 being arcade.
This feels distinctly arcade like, auto sprint and omnidirectional slides should be reserved for titan fall like gameplay, bigger maps etc. It just doesn't belong.
