Thank you all for watching! Realized one thing I forgot to mention was I do also have a 1” Traxda Level spacer in the front. In my opinion it makes the truck sit perfectly and doesn’t look bad or squat too much when hitched up to a trailer. Thanks again! 🙏
Great vid. I did the same with my truck. Went with gas. Have a 2022 Ford f250 7.3 liter which I have the decked system and a roof nest RTT. And I pull a travel trailer when the family is with. I also have the Napa awning. Gonna check out the tablet mount you suggested as I have the 12.9 iPad too. 😂
That’s awesome! I’ve heard a lot about the 7.3. Some good, some bad haha. How are you liking it? The Napa awning is such a good deal. Especially back when it was $99!
Yeah, it’s been great for what I need. And yes the Napa awning is great. And like you I’m looking into the 270. But first on the list is a diesel heater and battery upgrade.
@@WesternDriven406 yeah I keep thinking about diesel heater too. I’m in AZ so not real cold and buddy heater has gotten me thru so far. We’ll see. Maybe for next winter haha.
Your setup looks great. Nice, clean, and not overly cluttered. I have a very similar setup un my '07 5.9 Ram. I bought the truck with about 40k miles on it for almost the same price as a new Ram back in 2011. The sole reason was the old 5.9 is pre-emmission with the exception of a cat. I think when it comes time for replacement (hopefully no time soon) I"ll also be going with a gasser. Definitely not as much drama. I also used the cabinet grade plywood from Lowe's. It was just so much cheaper than the high dollar Baltic birth ply from the local lumberyard ($125ish a sheet). It's in the back of a truck, not furniture, in your home. LOL Thanks for sharing, and looking fwd to future videos
@@akxmasgarage9580 heck yeah that’s awesome! Apologies I’ve been super busy today. Glad you liked it. I need to do an updated video soon with my newly added upper sections. It’s just been to hot here in Phoenix to do much filming!
I love your setup! I think we’re kinda on the same page as it relates to trucks. I’m thinking about building some sort of side storage organizer. I’m tired of things being in disarray. Good to see how you have things organized!
Thank you! I’ve always had some sort of bed organization. I built a platform and drawers in my second Ram back in about 2008. Not sure the Decked system was even out back then but it was basically something like that. I’m getting close to a refresh and some changes too haha! Thanks for watching brother! 👊
Thanks man!!! I’m debating on ordering a 6” tri fold Milliard to try. I’d like to be able to fold it up and use as a seat if there is bad weather and I’m hanging inside. a.co/d/0h2GywH
@@IntoTheWildernessWeGo It will take a while until I'm ready, at the moment I have an INCHBag that I can take camping, it has everything I need in it, but I'll gradually expand it so that I'm flexible and can dismantle it quickly and easily can if I need space. The topper is mounted, I have now ordered some seals and new T-handles from the USA, which should arrive this week. I order everything for my 07 Ram from the USA, which unfortunately costs a lot because shipping, customs and import are usually more than the goods themselves, but well, I love US cars and would like to live in the USA. All I can say about camping is that it is widespread, generally in Europe, especially since Corona, but it looks like it has declined slightly. It's not the thing to camp minimally here and not on pickups either because pickups aren't a big issue here, caravans and mobile homes are the main market and also tents. But one reason to live this style here, I don't like having what everyone else has here....at the moment I'm looking for a cheap but good carrier system for the topper so that I can then mount a roof tent. Last year we were at the largest campsite in Europe ,Italy ! with a roof tent...great, I can tell you👌.

Great job. I added the EZ toper lift because head room is prime real estate. Enjoyed the video and your dogs are sweet.
You do have a kick Butt set-up Shane, Great video.
Thanks Dave! Appreciate it sir!
Great video, brother! Really enjoyed getting to see the full set up. Awesome job building that bunk yourself that’s slick! 🤜🏻💥🤛🏻

Thanks Mike! I had an ‘07 with the 5.9 as well many years ago. Loved the pulling power for sure. Thanks for tuning in! 👊
Hey I found the video I asked if it even existed on facebook😂😂 love that and great video👍🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Great setup! Envious.
Thank you! It’s been a work in progress! I camped many years in a tent and air mattress. Haha. 👊
I really admire your well thought out design. How did you make and attach your blackout curtains?
@@denahom thank you! My wife made them, we cut up a thick black sheet and she sewed them up with Velcro to just attach to the topper carpet. 👍
Fantastic!
Thanks for watching!
Well thought out and nicely built. Thanks for sharing.

perfect, I'd love to replicate that
Thank you! I’ll be doing a more in depth video on the bed setup soon!

Thank you so much!

Whered you get those packable window shades?
Those are just black sheets my wife custom cut and hemmed for me. Roll them up and store them in an old bag that some sheets came in. All DIY. 🙌
